The prayer offered in faith has the power to heal the weary and afflicted, for the Lord will uplift them from their suffering. Moreover, if this person has erred and committed sins, they will find forgiveness through this grace.

Good morning, everyone! welcome you to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is December 4, marking the 338th day of the year, and as we gather in the presence of the Lord, let's take a moment to reflect on the blessings that surround us.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ. It’s a privilege to connect with each and every one of you in the power of prayer.

Today, our scripture will be taken from the book of James, chapter 5, verse 15. It reads: “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.”

The Lord is reminding us of the profound impact that faith can have on our lives and the lives of those around us through our prayer. It is not only the healing power of prayer but also the hope and redemption that come with it.

Let’s open our hearts to the transformative nature of prayer and deepen our faith in God, as we pray.

 Let’s pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Savior. Father, we come before you with our hearts lifted in reverence, gratitude, and hope.

Lord, thank you for being steadfast, unchanging, merciful, and full of love. Thank you for being our refuge in times of distress and our peace in times of turmoil. Thank you for reminding us that we are not alone. You are walking with us, you are holding us, and you are carrying us.

Father, we come before you with hearts full of gratitude for the powerful reminder that our prayers, when offered in faith, can bring healing and restoration to the sick. Lord, we are holding onto the promise that, through your grace, you will raise us up and forgive the sins that we may have committed. With this assurance, we are approaching you with confidence, not relying on our own strength or understanding, but on your boundless power and your ever-present help.

Lord, you are the Great Physician, the healer of both our body, soul, and spirit. No sickness, no affliction, no hardship is greater than your mighty power. Nothing lies beyond your reach. So, today, we are trusting in your divine capability to transform our lives and heal each and every one of us. Those who are going through supplication, you heard their cry and are cherishing those cries of tears. Thank you for being our steadfast support in times of need.

Lord, remember all who are battling illness. You see the struggles, you see the tears, you see the pains, and you know the sleepless nights, the questions that some of them are asking, “Why me, Lord?”

God, you know the answer. So Lord, please send your mercy upon each and every one of us. All those who are weak in body. Touch everyone of us with your healing hand. Restore strength where it has been lost. Renew the energy of those who feel drained. Bring peace to those who are restless, and comfort to those whose pain seems unbearable.

Lord, remember everyone in a hospital bed, everyone waiting on test results, and everyone anxious about the future. Wrap us in your loving hands and remind us that our lives are held securely in you.

Send healing from the crown of our heads to the soles of our feet. So many are carrying hidden wounds, so many are fearful, anxious, depressed; so many are grieving, and so many are lonely. You are the One who binds up the brokenhearted and the one who has the power to set the captives free.

Lord, please pour out your peace upon each and every one of us. Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Where there is despair, bring hope. Where there is heaviness, lift delight. Where there is confusion, bring clarity.

Lord, we are praying not only for physical and emotional healing but also for spiritual revival. Cleanse our hearts of anything that keeps us away from you. Wash away doubt, wash away bitterness, and fear. Renew our spirits and remind us of your salvation. Even in sickness, Lord, help us to hold tightly to your promises, knowing that you are working all things for our good and for your glory. Let us not grow weary in prayer, but remain faithful and find strength and comfort in knowing that you are listening to our prayers and sending a healing deliverance to those who are sick.

Father, strengthen our faith and teach us to pray with confidence, not nervously, but boldly, for you are a loving Father who cares for us, your children.

Father, today, thank you for reminding us that when we pray, mountains can move, chains can break, and healing can come. And even when your answer looks different than what we imagined, help us to trust that your ways are higher, your wisdom is perfect, and your timing is always right.

Lord, remember our family. Families who are caring for their loved ones. Remember, Lord God, everyone who is in need. Bless us with endurance, patience, and comfort. Fill our hearts with hope even when we feel weary. Surround us with support, encouragement, and community so we do not carry our burdens alone.

Father, remember the doctors, remember the nurses, remember all caregivers, and all who are serving the sick. Send an endless blessing their way that will give them the strength to persevere. Give us wisdom in our decision-making, gentleness in our touch, and endurance for the long hours at work. Help us to be instruments of healing and compassion in the lives of those around us.

Lord, remember the lonely, remember the elderly, those without visitors, those without resources. Remind them that you see, hear, care, and will deliver them.

Father, for those who are waiting, not just for healing, but for peace, for provision, for answers, grant them patience and endurance. Teach us all to wait on you, to rest in your promises, and to believe that you are faithful and you are a God who can do great things in our lives.

Lord, in closing, we pray that through every sickness, every recovery, every trial, you would be glorified. May healing not only come to our bodies but also to our souls. May we grow in faith, deepen our love for you, and shine as testimonies of your goodness.

O Lord, you are our refuge, you are our healer, and you are our hope. We cling to the promise that nothing can separate us from you, not sickness, not fear, not even death. In every circumstance, you are our God, our strength, and our salvation.

So, we surrender all pain and all fears into your hands. Knowing that you bore our suffering, you carried our sorrows, and you purchased our eternal healing. We thank you for everything.

In the powerful and healing name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
