Good morning, everyone! It’s a blessing to welcome you to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is December 10, the 344th day of the year, and we’re grateful that you are joining us on this journey of prayer.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader here at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ.

Our scripture will be taken from 1 Peter 5:6-7, which reads: “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; Casting all your care upon him, for he cares for you.”

Today, the Lord is reminding us of the importance of humility and trust in his perfect timing. it is essential to recognize the strength we find in surrendering our worries and burdens at Jesus' feet, who cares for us deeply.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, our Lord, our God, and our Savior.

Father, we come before you with reverence and gratitude. You are holy, you are faithful, and you are beyond measure.

Thank you for granting us the gift of prayer. Moment to be still, moment to open our hearts, moment to pray sincerely, and to lay everything at your feet.

Father, help us to humble ourselves under your mighty hand, for you are our God, and you will exalt us in due time. Lord, allow us to cast all our care upon you, for we know you care for us.

Thank you for reminding us that we are not in control; for you are. We are not alone, for you care for us so deeply that you sacrifice yourself so deeply for us. You are not a distant God but a loving Father who knows the number of hairs on our heads, you hear our cries, and have the power to dry every tear from our eyes. You walk with us and uphold us when we feel like we are falling.

Lord, teach us to submit ourselves under your mighty hand. Help us to acknowledge your sovereignty in our lives. Help us to trust you fully, for you are our God. We know that in your perfect timing, you will lift us up and exalt us. Sometimes we hold too tightly to our worries, too tightly to our fears, and too tightly to our anxiety. That we sometimes can’t see your hands at work in our lives.

Lord, help us to surrender, humble ourselves, and trust in your perfect timing. For you see everything that clouding our minds and distracting us from you. Today, grant us the ability to cast all our worries, fears, and burdens to you. You are always there for us. Your love and concern for us are boundless, and you will guide us through our trials and tribulations.

Every struggle, every doubt, and every pain, Lord, today, we are releasing before you. Father, take these burdens from us. Lift the heaviness of life from us. Replace our worry with peace, replace our doubt with faith, replace our fear with courage, and replace our weakness with your strength.

Lord, guide us in the way we should go. Bring clarity, bring healing, bring restoration, bring boldness, bring hope, and lead us down the paths of righteousness for your name’s sake.

Lord, you know each and every one of us, you know what your plans are for us, and you will never forsake those who belong to you.

Father, each morning, let our first thought be of you. When we go about our day, let our actions reflect you. And when we lie down at night, let our hearts rest in the assurance that you are with us. Help us not to carry tomorrow’s worries into today, but to understand that you are a gracious God and will do good things for us because your grace is sufficient.

Lord, you are reminding us that we do not have to fix everything ourselves. For when life feels overwhelming, your presence will be our safeguard, your presence will be our steady anchor, and you will be our help.

Lord, remember everyone who is praying. Remember our families near and far. Remember all of our friends and our leaders. Remember all of our neighbors. Lord, surround each and everyone of us with your love. Help us to know that you are our provider, you are our healer, our comforter, and our leader.

Father, teach us not to seek quick answers all the time, or immediate solutions, or instant relief. For your timing is always perfect. And even when we don’t know when, help us to believe and trust you. Strengthen our faith and teach us to believe that even when we cannot see the full result, you are working all things together for our good and for your glory.

Lord, in closing, thank you for hearing our prayer. Teach us to intercede for others with compassion and with love. Help us to be instruments of grace in the lives of everyone we encounter.

Lord, we release every care, every fear, every anxiety, and every burden into your hands. Help us to choose faith over fear, trust over doubt, and rest in the truth that you are with us, you are for us, and you will never leave nor forsake us.

You are the peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask all this in the mighty, compassionate, and wonderful name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a wonderful day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
