Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today, is December 11, the 345th day of the year, and we are so glad that you are joining us for prayer. It’s a privilege to seek God’s guidance through prayer.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at the Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, NJ.

As we journey through this podcast, remember that our focus is rooted in the transformative power of the Scriptures, and we are praying through all 66 books of the Bible.

Today, we turn our attention to 1Peter 5:10. And it reads. “The God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.”

Everyone, even in times of suffering, God is actively working perfection. He wants to perfect, strengthen, and calm our hearts. His grace is abundant, and His promises are tolerable.

So, today, let us open our hearts to the wisdom and comfort that God is offering us.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, our Gracious God and Wonderful Savior,

We come before you with our hearts overflowing with gratitude, reverence, and love. Thank you for the incredible gift of prayer, which allows us to connect with you, draw near to your throne of grace, and pour our hearts out before you.

Lord, you are the God who cares deeply for your children; you are inviting us to approach your presence with humility. Help us not to take this privilege lightly, for you are the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth, and you are the one who called us to partake with you in your eternal glory.

We are grateful for your promise that after we endure our struggles for a little while, you will restore us, making us strong, firm, and steadfast. This assurance brings us comfort and encouragement.

Lord, you promise that after we have suffered a while, endure our trials and tribulations, you will make us perfect. Your desire is to make us complete, you want to shape our character and enrich our spirit. We recognize that the hardships we face are not in vain but are part of your divine plan for our growth. For through these challenges, you are transforming us into the individuals you want us to be. So, Lord, help us to remain faithful during our struggles and trust in your ultimate purpose.

You will establish us

Lord, as we persevere through difficulties, we hold onto the hope that you will establish us, grounding us in faith and resilience. You will bring us to a place of restoration. You will strengthen us in our weaknesses, confirm our faith, and establish us in your grace. Lord, we are believing that every challenge we face serves a purpose in our growth and brings us closer to the fulfillment of your promises. Thank you for your unwavering presence and thank you for your support through our struggles. Thank you for ultimately guiding us toward greater wisdom and resilience.

Lord, you will strengthen us

Lord, you will come to our aid and provide us with the strength we need. You promise to strengthen us in our moments of weakness and in our moments of despair; you will not only restore us but also fortify our spirits, so help us to rise above our challenges, and help us to remove ungodly resilience in the issues of life. Father, we believe that experiences will strengthen us. Everything we go through if we don’t give up on you will fortify us and deepen our understanding of your love and grace. Through these experiences, we will emerge stronger and will be better equipped to face whatever lies ahead, guided by your unwavering grace.

Lord, thank you for settling us.

Lord, you are reminding us that when we find comfort in the assurance that after this season of suffering, you will restore us. You will establish us, and you will give us grace. Your promise is a source of hope, reminding us that even in our darkest moments, even when it seems to be no hope, there is the promise of renewed strength and establishment. We find comfort in the knowledge that you are our God, and you will settle us, you will provide peace and stability in our lives.

Lord, thank you for your unwavering presence and thank you for your guidance through every trial. Thank you for understanding all the challenges we are facing, and thank you for being aware of our limitations. urging us to cast our burdens on you because you truly care for us.

Father, today, help us to lay everything down at your feet. Give us the ability to remain flexible and lean on your grace, for your power is made perfect in our weaknesses. May our hearts be anchored in the truth of your faithfulness, knowing that nothing can separate us from you.

Lord, when the road ahead seems uncertain or filled with trials, remind us that every step we take is guided by you. You are a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Teach us to walk not by sight but by faith, trusting that your hand will lead and sustain us.

Lord, we cherish this moment. The moment to pray and surrender fully to you. Knowing that our hardships are only temporary, for you walk alongside us each step of the way. You are close to the brokenhearted and bind up our wounds. In the mysterious valleys, you are our light, and in life's storms, you are our shelter. In uncertain moments, you are providing us with peace.

Father, thank you for reminding us that no challenge is wasted in your hands. Every trial offers a chance for growth, and every burden reveals your strength. Each tear we shed is a seed you will nurture, bringing forth fruit in our lives in due time. Help us to face our trials not with despair, but with hope, for you are always working everything for our good and your glory.

Lord, help us to overcome our challenges not through our own strength, but because you are the God who restores, perfects, strengthens, and establishes us in your love.

We close this prayer with confidence and with joy, knowing that you are faithful and still at work in our lives even now and even as we go through this day.

We pray in the mighty and precious name of our Lord, Savior, Jesus Christ… Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a wonderful day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
