Jan 6 – Day 6. God is Our Strength
“The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him a habitation; my father's God and I will exalt him.” (Exodus 15:2)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Pray with gratitude and exalt the Lord during your prayer. The Lord is our unwavering strength and the melody of our hearts; He has become our source of salvation and hope in times of trouble. He is our God, deserving of our utmost devotion, and we are committed to preparing a sacred space to honor Him. He is not only the God of our forefathers but also the guiding light of our lives, and in His presence, we will rejoice and lift our voices in exaltation.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is January 6, the 6th day of the year.
I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It gives me great joy to connect with you another day on this spiritual journey.
Our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in Genesis and working all the way to Revelation.
Today, we are continuing in the book of Exodus, and our scripture will be taken from Exodus 15:2, and it reads: “The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him a habitation; my father's God and I will exalt him.”
The Lord wants us to realize that he is our God, he is our strength, our song, and our Salvation. So, today, as we pray, let us exalt him and surrender fully to him.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Savior. Father, we come before you with our hearts bowed in gratitude and reverence. We thank you for this precious moment to seek you, and to lift our voices to you in prayer.
Lord, thank you for granting us the strength to rise today, and most of all for the salvation you have freely given us through your son, Jesus Christ.
Father, as we enter into this time of prayer, we want to honor your holy and matchless name. You are worthy of all praise. Help us to glorify, to exalt, and to worship you, not only in moments of joy but in moments of struggle, in seasons of clarity, and in times of confusion.
Lord, you remain the same yesterday, today, and forever. You are our rock, our refuge, and our strong tower, and without you, we are nothing, but with you, all things are possible.
Lord, thank you for reminding us that you are our strength and our song, and you have become our salvation: you are our God and help us to be willing to prepare you a habitation; for you are our father’s God, and we will exalt you.
Father, every day we can see your hand at work in our lives and know that you are our strength. When we are weak, you lift us up. When we are burdened, you carry us. When our hearts are heavy, you comfort us. When we cannot see the way forward, you shine your light and guide our steps.
Lord, let our lives be a continual song of praise to you. Teach us how to glorify you not only with our words but with our actions, our choices, and the way we love others. May gratitude never be far from our lips. May our hearts be quick to sing your songs of praise, for you are good and your mercy endures forever.
Lord, thank you for the sacrifice you made on the cross. No greater love has ever been known than that you laid down your life for us. Because of your love and the blood that you shed, we are forgiven. Because of your resurrection, we have victory. Because of your grace, we have hope that endures beyond the grave. This hope anchors us when storms rage around us. It reminds us that no matter what this world brings, our eternity is secure in you.
Heavenly Father, we are praying today and asking you to remember our families. Place your hand of protection upon them, guide them with your wisdom, and surround them with your peace. For those who may be walking through trials, grant them endurance and comfort. For those who are weary, renew their strength like the eagle’s. For those searching for answers, reveal yourself to them for you are the way, the truth, and life.
Lord, we also bring our friends before you. You know all of our needs, and you know them better than we do. Some of us need your healing touch throughout our bodies, minds, souls, and spirits. Other healing is needed in our hearts so that we can grow more spiritually with you. Some may need provision, especially those who are struggling financially. Others need courage during uncertainty. Father, be everything we need. Help us to taste and see that you are good and let us find rest in you.
Lord, we are lifting those who feel far from you today. Draw each and every one closer to you. Remove everything that is in our minds that is not of you, and open their eyes to see the hope of your salvation. Remind us that no matter how far they’ve wandered, your arms remain wide open and ready to welcome us back home.
Father, help us to put our trust fully in you as we go through this day. Strengthen us to be a light in this world, a world often filled with darkness, fear, and division. Let our lives reflect your love and your truth. Give compassion to those who are hurting. Help us to be patient and to be kind. So that everything we do can be seasoned with grace, because you are a God of grace. May we always point others back to you.
Lord, teach us to trust in you more deeply. Teach us to surrender everything that we do to you. We want you to be the center of our lives. For you are the God who is in control of what we cannot control and your plans for us are good, even when we cannot see the whole picture. Help us to remember that your timing is perfect and that your ways are higher than our ways.
Lord, this day. Go before us in every decision, every conversation, and every task. So, we can be holy. Give us wisdom to discern what is right, courage to stand firm in our faith, and humility to walk in obedience.
And when the day ends and we lay our heads down to rest, let us look back not with regret, but with gratitude, grateful that you were with us, thankful that you sustained us, and grateful that we belong to you.
Lord, today, we can honestly say we love you, we glorify you, and we exalt you above all other things. For you are our strength and our salvation. You are our God, our Redeemer, our Provider, and our Shepherd.
In the holy name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
