Jan 7 – Day 7. God is Guiding Us With His Strength
“Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.” (Exodus 15:13)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. The Lord will strengthen you in his holy habitation. In your boundless mercy, you have brought forth those whom you have redeemed, leading them with unwavering strength as they journey toward your sacred dwelling place. You have guided your people with care, ensuring their safety and fostering their faith as they move toward the sanctity that you have promised.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is January 7, the 7th day of the year, and God is still blessing us and still giving us the desire to pray and surrender to him.
Remember that I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It gives me great joy to connect with you on this spiritual journey.
Remember that our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in Genesis and ending in the book of Revelation.
Today, we are continuing in the book of Exodus, and our scripture will be taken from Exodus 15:13, and it reads: “Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.”
As we pray, let’s give God thanks for leading, redeeming, and guiding us with his strength. He wants us to dwell in the holy habitation that he has in store for us.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Savior.
Father, we come before you this day with grateful hearts, submitting ourselves fully to your divine will. Thank you for reminding us that: “Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation.” Lord, how deeply we cherish that truth that you, in your mercy, you are leading us, you sustaining us, and you drawing us into your holy presence.
Father, as we step into this day, we acknowledge our need for you. Life sometimes presents challenges, distractions, and burdens, yet we know that nothing is too difficult for you. Lord, you have the power to strengthen our faith, and when doubts arise, keep us close to you. Steady our steps when the path feels uncertain. And remind us that you are not only the God of yesterday and tomorrow but also the faithful God of today, right here, right now, walking with us through every trial and through every triumph.
Father, be our guide on this journey of life. Just as you led Israel through the wilderness, guide us through the twists and turns of our lives. Lead us to your dwelling place, where we can find the peace our hearts so desperately need and the refuge that shields us from the storms that are raging around us.
Lord, we long for your holy presence, for in your presence there is fullness of joy, and at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore. That’s why we are praying and surrendering to you, Lord, because we know you have the power to rescue and help us.
Lord, we are bringing before you the responsibilities you have entrusted into our hands. Remember our families, remember our work, remember our communities, and remember our ministries. These are not small tasks, but divine callings. Give us the strength to carry them with diligence, wisdom, and love. May we not grow weary in well-doing, but persevere with purpose, knowing that in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Help us to do everything as unto you, because you are our Lord. Help us not to do it for the applause of men but for the glory of your holy name.
Father, we ask not only for strength but also for your protection. You know the dangers, both seen and unseen, that surround us. Some come in the form of trials, some in the form of temptations, and others in ways we cannot perceive. Yet you are reminding us daily that you are our shield, our fortress, and our strong deliverer. Cover us with the shadow of your wings. Place your hedge of protection around our loved ones. Guard our minds from fear, our hearts from despair, and our bodies from harm.
Lord, we plead for your guidance in our personal growth. We want to become more like you, and we know you have called us to transformation, not to remain as we are. Teach us to surrender daily, to lay down our pride, our selfish desires, and our stubborn wills. Redeem our hearts from bitterness, anger, and sin. Shape us in your likeness, to become people of humility, compassion, integrity, and love. So we can serve you fully with all our hearts, minds, bodies, souls, and spirits. Help us to forgive as you have forgiven us, to love as you have loved us, and to serve as you have served us.
Lord, remember those who are weary, those carrying burdens too heavy for their shoulders, those who feel unseen, forgotten, or unloved. Remind us daily that you are always near to the brokenhearted and will save those who are surrendering to you. Lord, use us as vessels of compassion that we might bring encouragement, hope, and light to everyone we meet.
Father, remind us daily that this world is not our final home. Our ultimate hope is in you and the eternal dwelling you have prepared for us. Help us to live with eternity in view, storing up treasures in heaven rather than clinging too tightly to the things of this earth. Give us a holy longing for your kingdom, where every tear will be wiped away, where death and sorrow will be no more, and where we will behold your glory face to face.
As we embrace this day, we ask for the calm assurance that you are our protector, our provider, and our peace. May our hearts rest secure in you, knowing that nothing can separate us from your love, not tribulation, not distress, not persecution, not famine, not danger, not sword. Truly, in you, Christ Jesus, we are more than conquerors.
Lord, we end this prayer as we began it, with gratitude. Thank you for hearing us, thank you for loving us, thank you for redeeming us. Thank you for the cross, thank you for the resurrection, thank you for the living hope we have because of you, thank you for being our Father, thank you for being our Savior, and thank you for being our Friend.
In the most powerful, precious, and holy name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
