Jan 11 – Day 11. The Lord is Holy
“Thou shalt sanctify him; therefore, for he offered the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctifies you, am holy.” (Leviticus 21:8)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. Believe that God's ears are open to your prayer. He is Holy and will sanctify and make you Holy. The Lord wants us to recognize the significance of this offering and the divine nature of the one who has served in this sacred capacity. Embrace the call to holiness, knowing that it is rooted in the sacred connection between the divine and the faithful.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is January 11, marking the 11th day of the year, and God is still blessing us. Giving us assurance of his great love towards us.
I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It gives me great joy to connect with you another day on this spiritual journey.
As mentioned before, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in Genesis and ending in the book of Revelation.
Today, we are diving into the book of Leviticus, and our scripture will be taken from Leviticus 21:8, and it reads: “Thou shalt sanctify him; therefore, for he offered the bread of thy God: he shall be holy unto thee: for I the Lord, which sanctifies you, am holy.”
As we pray, let's pray for sanctification. The Lord is holy and promises to be holy unto us, for his desire is for us to be holy.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Savior.
Father, we come before you with our hearts bowed in reverence, full of gratitude and admiration for who you are. Lord, thank you for the precious gift of life, for every sunrise, and for reminding us of your mercies that are new each morning. Thank you for the privilege of prayer, the invitation to come into your presence, to speak with you, and to know that you are listening to our prayer with open heart, love, patience, and compassion.
Lord, you are reminding us that we need to be holy unto thee: for you, the Lord, who sanctify us, are holy. Lord, help us to remember daily that you are holy, and you are calling us to holiness. You are pure, and you are calling us to live in purity. You are faithful, and you want us to walk faithfully with you. Lord, we cannot do this by our own strength. Please sanctify us, purify us, and set us apart as vessels for your glory.
Lord, thank you for offering us the bread of life. You are our sustenance, our strength, and our salvation. Through you, we are nourished, in body, in soul, and in spirit.
Lord, every day, let our hearts hunger more for your word, our minds thirst for your truth, and our lives bear witness to your goodness.
Father, you desire for us to live righteously and to be holy unto thee. So, we are praying today, Lord, for holiness. Your desire is to make heaven our eternal home. Lord, we acknowledge that this world is filled with distractions, temptations, and trials, but you, Lord, are our shepherd, guiding us through every valley and leading us toward eternal light. Draw us closer to you. Remind us daily that our true home is not here on earth, but in your heavenly kingdom, where there is no pain, no sorrow, and no tears, only everlasting joy in your presence.
Lord, as we journey through life’s challenges, sometimes our hearts grow heavy. Sometimes fear, worry, or disappointment weighs us down. But today, Father, we are surrendering our doubts, our sins, and our struggles at your feet. Please remove every weight that hinders us from being holy and help us to run the race with endurance. Strengthen us spiritually, so that we can live in freedom, victory, and peace.
Heavenly Father, we pray not only for ourselves but also for our families, our loved ones, and even those who may not know you yet. Please touch our hearts and give us a heart like yours. A heart that will love you, and a heart that will be holy and righteous daily.
Father, heal every broken area of our lives and give us peace to trust you and peace that passes all understanding. Restore our hope, especially to those who are feeling hopeless. Lord, in a world filled with confusion and chaos, help us to be holy saints who are proud to be holy and proud to do the things that are pleasing to you.
Lord, teach us how to intercede daily for others and how to pray daily with joy. Lord, thank you for the cross, thank you for your sacrifice, and thank you for the gift of salvation. Thank you for the resurrection, which assures us of eternal life.
Father, deepen our relationship with you. Help us to pray more sincerely, know you more intimately, trust you completely, and obey you faithfully. Lord, align our desires with your will. Let every decision we make bring glory to your name. Let every word we speak reflect your truth. Let every step we take lead us closer to you.
Father, as we close this prayer, be our comforter in moments of sorrow, our counselor in times of uncertainty, and our strength when we feel weak. Guide us into all truth. Remind us of your promises. Teach us to walk in love and to be grateful.
Thank you for hearing our prayer. Thank you for being a God who never leaves us nor forsakes us. Thank you for loving us, and assuring us that you shalt sanctify us; for we should offer the bread of you, our God: for we shall be holy unto thee: for you the Lord, which sanctifies us, is holy.
Father, we seal this prayer in the glorious, powerful, and holy name of our Lord, and our Savior Jesus Christ…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
