Jan13 – Day 13. God Bless & Keep
“The Lord will bless and keep you. The Lord makes his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift his countenance upon thee and give thee peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. The excitement of blessing will stir the air. The Lord will bless you, keep you safe, and make His face shine upon you. “The Lord will bless and keep you, granting you strength in every challenge you face. May the Lord's radiant light shine upon you, illuminating your path and showering you with grace and kindness. As the Lord lifts His countenance upon you, may you feel His loving presence, bringing you comfort and a deep sense of peace in your heart.”
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is January 13, the 13th day of the year. God is still with us, still blessing us, and still taking care of us.
I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It gives me great joy to connect with you another day on this spiritual journey.
As mentioned before, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in Genesis and ending in the book of Revelation.
Today, we are diving into the book of Numbers, and our scripture will be taken from Numbers 6:24-26, which reads: “The Lord will bless and keep you. The Lord makes his face shine upon thee and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift his countenance upon thee and give thee peace.”
Today, as we pray, let's give God thanks for blessings, keeping, and giving us peace.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, our God, and our Blessed Savior.
Father, with our hearts filled with gratitude and reverence, we lift this prayer to you. We come before you in this sacred moment with a grateful heart. Thank you for the gift of prayer and for allowing us to communicate with you. We know that every good and perfect gift comes from you, for it is in your presence that we find strength, hope, and peace.
Lord, thank you for reminding us that you “will bless and keep you. You make your face to shine upon us and be gracious unto us: You will lift up your countenance upon us and give us peace.” Lord, we hold onto this promise knowing that you are not a God who fails.
Father, you are faithful, steadfast, and accurate. When the world feels uncertain, your word remains our anchor. We praise you for the countless blessings you have bestowed upon us, blessings both seen and unseen. Thank you for the protection that surrounds us, even in moments we are not aware of it. Thank you for the freedom you grant us each day, freedom to worship, freedom to love, freedom to walk in the calling you have placed on our lives. Thank you for family and friends, for provision and shelter, for the strength to face each new morning.
Lord, you promise to bless and keep us even during our moments of weakness. Times when fear rises in our hearts, when doubt whispers into our minds. Father, help us cling tightly to faith. Remind us that we are never alone, for you have promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Teach us to trust in the blessings you are continually pouring upon us, even when we cannot see the full picture of what you are doing in our lives.
Lord, you are ever-present. You will continue to make your face shine upon us and be gracious unto us, for you are the Good Shepherd who leads us beside still waters and restores our souls. When the storms of life rage around us, help us to take refuge under your mighty hand. Be our shelter, our shield, and our strong tower. Let us not be shaken by the trials we face, but instead be rooted in the assurance that you are working all things together for our good.
Father, you promise to lift your countenance upon us and give us peace. Today, we are praying for peace within our homes, peace for our families, peace on the jobs, and peace within our communities. Let everything that has breath praise you and glorify your holy name.
Lord, bless our decisions and give us peace to deal with everyone we encounter. Please shape our futures according to your perfect will. Let your light shine brightly upon us, so we can walk in wisdom, kindness, and peace. Help us to know you intimately, trust you deeply, and serve you faithfully.
Lord, you are the Great Physician, the Comforter, the Provider, and the Prince of Peace. Please send peace to those who are feeling sick, those in the hospital, those at home, and those who are suffering in places that we don’t even know. Send comfort where there is grief, and provision where it is lacking. We place every burden, every worry, every fear at your feet. Teach us to release control, to surrender fully, and to rest in your promises.
Father, surround all of us with your presence. Remind us that we are precious in your sight, chosen, redeemed, and never abandoned. Help us to find hope in you, strength in your word, and courage to keep pressing forward.
Lord, teach us to extend grace as you have extended grace to us. Give us eyes to see the needs of others, ears to listen with compassion, and hands willing to serve you so that we can point others back to you.
Father, because of you, we can face tomorrow without fear. May your will be done in our lives, in our families, and in this world. Keep us steadfast in faith, unwavering in love, and rooted in your truth.
In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
