Jan14 – Day 14. God Forgive
“Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now. The Lord said I have pardoned according to thy word: But truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.” (Numbers 14:19-21)
Forgive me, I earnestly implore you, for the sins and transgressions of this people, in light of the immense compassion that you possess. Just as you have shown mercy and granted forgiveness to them from the time they were brought out of Egypt until this very moment, I ask that you do so again. The Lord responded, affirming, 'I have indeed granted pardon as you have requested.' However, I solemnly declare that as long as I exist, the glory of the Lord shall fill the entirety of the earth. Keep on praying. The earth is filled with the glory of the Lord, and your life will be filled with His presence.
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is January 14, the 14th day of the year. God is still blessing us, still with us, and still covering us.
I’m Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It gives me great joy to connect with you another day on this spiritual journey.
As mentioned before, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in Genesis and ending in the book of Revelation.
Today, we are continuing in the book of Numbers, and our scripture will be taken from Numbers 14:19-21, and it reads: “Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now. The Lord said I have pardoned according to thy word: But truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the Lord.”
The Lord promises to pardon us and fill the earth with his glory.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.
Father, we come before you today with hearts full of gratitude, reverence, and admiration. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the One who holds the entire universe in the palm of your hand, and yet you bend down to hear the humble prayers of your people. Lord, we pause in this sacred moment to acknowledge your majesty, your sovereignty, and your endless compassion toward us.
Father, we lift our voices to you in this prayer with confidence, not because of our own worthiness, but because of the blood of Jesus Christ that makes us whole, that cleanses us, and that grants us access to your throne of grace. We recognize your power that continues to transform our lives day by day. You are not a God who is far away from us, but a God who is near, who walks with us through valleys and rejoices with us on mountaintops.
Lord, you are a God who forgives, a God who pardons, and a God who restores. Just as you showed mercy to Israel when they faltered, you are also extending the same mercy to us. And as you declared according to your word: you will pardon our iniquity, you have forgiven us your people, from Egypt even until now. Lord, according to thy word: all the earth shall be filled with your glory.
Father, help us to grasp the depths of your mercy. It is easy for us to forget how patient, long-suffering, and compassionate you are. In our weaknesses, in our failures, in our shortcomings, you have not cast us aside. Instead, you invite us to repent, to turn back to you, and to be clothed again in your mercy.
Teach us to never take this mercy for granted but to live as people who are deeply aware of the price of forgiveness and the gift of reconciliation.
Lord, plant within our hearts the spirit of forgiveness. Too often, we hold onto grudges, resentment, and bitterness, yet you have forgiven us. Free us from the chains of unforgiveness, for it only weighs us down and robs us of your peace.
Father, help us to forgive not seven times, but seventy times seven, as you taught us in your words. Give us the courage to release anger, the strength to let go of old wounds, and the compassion to see others through your mercy.
Lord, teach us to walk in sympathy. Help us not to be quick to judge, quick to blame someone else, but help to be quick to show kindness. Help us to recognize that everyone we encounter is carrying a story, a burden, or a struggle that we may not see.
Lord, true strength does not lie in power, control, or pride, but in mercy, humility, and grace. Give us a heart that will mirror your love. For you reached out to the broken, the rejected, the weary, and the lost.
Father, teach us to delight in showing mercy, even when it costs us something, even when it stretches us beyond what feels comfortable, for it is in these moments that we will be reunited with you.
Lord, guide us on the path that pleases you. Let your word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path. Fill us with your spirit so that every decision we make, every word we speak, and every action we take, please you. May your presence be woven into every aspect of our lives, our families, our friends, and our communities.
Father, in times of discouragement, remind us of your promises. In moments of fear, remind us of your faithfulness. In moments of weariness, remind us that your strength is made perfect in our weakness. And in moments of joy, help us to remember to lift our praises back to you, the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
Lord, we pray for healing for the brokenhearted, comfort for the grieving, strength for the weary, and hope for those who feel hopeless.
Father, fill us with the desire to seek you above all else. May our hearts hunger for you, may our souls thirst for your presence, and may our lives reflect your light. Let us be salt that point others to the mercy and love that we ourselves have experienced in you.
Lord, as we leave this moment of prayer, let it not just be words spoken in passing, but a gratefulness in our hearts. May we carry your presence with us, walk in humility and gratitude, and live in a way that others see you Jesus Christ in us.
In the precious and powerful name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
