“But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head.” (Psalm 3:3)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. The Lord serves as a protective shield around us, safeguarding our spirit and our heart in times of trouble. He is our source of glory and honor, the One who elevates our spirits and renews our hope, lifting our heads high even in the face of adversity.

Good morning, everyone! Welcome you to another inspiring episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is February 13, marking the 44th day of the year, a beautiful reminder of the new opportunities each day offers us.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad. The First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey, it fills me with great joy to connect with each of you. Together, we are embarking on the spiritual journey and the transformative power of prayer that will uplift and guide us each and every day.

Remember, throughout this year, our prayers will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in the book of Genesis and ending in the book of Revelation. Each step along this spiritual journey will not only enhance our understanding but also deepen the roots of our faith, bringing us closer to God and to one another.

Today, we will continue in the book of Psalms. Our scripture will be taken from Psalm 3:3, which reads: “But You, O Lord, are a shield for me, my glory, and the One who lifts up my head.”

God is reminding us of his protection in our lives. He is restoring our dignity and providing unwavering support during our time of trials.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.

Father, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude and reverence. Thank you for being a God who never abandons us, who has promised never to leave us nor forsake us. Who is faithful, constant, and unchanging.

Father, thank you for reminding us that “You, O Lord, are a shield for us, our glory, and the One who lifts up our head.”

Lord, we are praying and humbly place all our concerns and aspirations into your capable hands. You are our protector, serving as a shield that guards us against the trials of life. You are our source of glory and the one who restores our dignity. Help us to remember that you are our shield, our glory, and the lifter of our heads. You are one who surrounds us with divine protection. You are restoring our hope and confidence.

Lord, with unwavering faith, help us to trust in your guidance and love as we navigate our journey. Help us to recognize the blessings you are constantly pouring into our lives each day. Lord, too often, we overlook them. You strengthen us to rise in the morning, give us the opportunities to grow, and even when you are refining and drawing us closer to you, because you have great plans for us.

Lord, may gratitude fill our hearts, for you see the anxieties that weigh heavily on our minds. You know the unspoken prayers, our worries about the future, and the battles we are fighting in the present. Father, we are placing everything before you. Replace every fear with faith, every anxiety with peace, and every doubt with confidence. Remind us daily that your peace surpasses all understanding. Let your spirit calm our hearts, even when the storm around us is raging.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and guidance in our daily lives. Teach us to seek you first in every decision, to walk in obedience to your word, and to live as a reflection of your grace and love to others. May our words bring encouragement, may our actions reflect kindness, and may our lives point others to you.

Lord, there are so many who have not given their lives to you. Help them to see your light shining and give their lives to you before it is too late.

Father, we place all things in your hands. You are a shield for us, our glory, and the One who lifts up our head. Please cover all our families under your blood. Please keep us safe from danger seen and unseen.

Lord, we are praying for your protection. Protect us, guide us, and draw us closer to you. Remember everyone throughout the world. So many are broken, so many are hurting, and so many are seeking your divine intervention in their lives. But we believe that you are still sovereign, still in control, and still working all things together for our good.

Help us, Lord, never to give up on you, but to pray constantly, knowing that you will never give up on us, but you will intercede on our behalf. Lord, help us to be a light in the darkness. Let our lives reflect your love and compassion to everyone we meet. Teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven, to serve as you desire for us to serve, and to love others the way you love us, and never give up on you.

In the mighty and precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
