Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of our EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is February 25, the 56th day of the year, a reminder of the precious gift of prayer and what God is doing in our lives.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It fills my heart with great joy to connect with each of you as we embark on this spiritual journey through prayer.

As stated in previous episodes, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Starting in Genesis and ending in the book of Revelation.

Today, our focus continues in the book of Psalms, and our scripture will be taken from Psalm 27:1, which reads: “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

The Lord is asking us a great question: How can we be afraid if God is our light? He is reminding us of the unwavering protection and guidance we will receive from him. In moments of uncertainty and fear, we can lean on Him as our steadfast light, a beacon illuminating our path and granting us the courage to face any challenge that arises.

As we pray, let us reflect on these words together and invite the Lord into our hearts.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.

Father, thank you for this precious moment to bow our hearts before you in prayer. Thank you for the strength in our bodies and the awareness that it is by your grace that we are here.

Lord, help us not take the privilege of prayer lightly, nor the ability to lift our voices, our burdens, our praises, and our hopes directly to you through prayer.

“Lord, you are our light and our salvation; whom shall we fear? You, Lord, are the strength of our life; of whom shall we be afraid?”

Heavenly Father, we are praying to you in faith, asking for your guidance as we strive to cling to the promises you have made to us. You are our guiding light and our source of salvation; with you by our side, who can we truly fear? In your presence, there is no darkness or shadow to overwhelm us, and no despair that can consume our hearts. You are the unwavering strength of our lives, and you are instilling in us the courage to face our challenges. With your hope, love, and support, of whom shall we ever be afraid?

Lord, you see clearly each and every one of us; many times, our hearts grow heavy. Life’s storms can rise suddenly, and confusion, grief, uncertainty, and disappointment can surround us. But you remain unshaken. You are our refuge, our safe haven, the solid rock upon which we can stand. So, teach us to lean not on our own understanding but to trust you with all our hearts.

Father, today, help us not to carry burdens, help us not to worry about our families, our health, our future, and even our faith. Help us to lay everything at your feet during our prayer, knowing that you care for us more deeply than we could ever imagine, and you will take care of us. Thank you for inviting us into your presence, not with condemnation, but with compassion, understanding, and love.

Lord, where there is fear, replace it with courage. Where there is anxiety, bring healing. Where there is loneliness, bring comfort.

Father, strengthen us when trials come, and remind us that adversity does not define us; for You are always writing redemption into every chapter of our lives.

Lord, bless our loved ones, near and far. Protect them from harm. Guide our decisions. Surround us with your peace. If there are divisions, bring reconciliation. If there is hurt, bring forgiveness. May our homes reflect your love.

Lord, there is so much pain in this world: violence, division, injustice, and despair. But you are still the God of hope. Teach us to love, to extend kindness, and to be patient with everyone.

Lord, as we prepare to face the days ahead, clothe us with your armor. Guard our hearts with righteousness, fill our minds with truth, and equip us with the shield of faith. Let our lives reflect your love and draw others to the hope found in you alone.

Father, in closing, help us to rest in you. Not to strive endlessly in our own strength, but to abide in your presence, and to remember that you are God, and we are held securely in your hands, for you are the strength of our lives.

We give you all glory, honor, and praise, both now and forevermore.

In the holy, precious, and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
