“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore, my heart greatly rejoiced. and with my song will I praise him. The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up forever.” (Psalm 28:7-9)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Don’t stop praying. The Lord is our strength and shield; he is providing us with protection and courage in times of uncertainty. Our hearts should place their trust completely in Him, and as a result, we should find ourselves supported and uplifted in our moments of need. This profound trust should fill our hearts with immense joy, leading us to express our gratitude through song and praise. The Lord stands as our strength, a refuge for His chosen ones, guiding and empowering us. We beseech Him to save His people and bless them abundantly in our journey. May He nourish our spirits and elevate us, lifting us up with grace and love for all eternity.

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is February 27, marking the 58th day of the year, and it's an honor to pray with you on this spiritual journey.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic, located in Salem, New Jersey. It brings me great joy to connect with each of you as we embark on this prayer journey together.

As stated in previous episodes, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Started in Genesis and will end in the book of Revelation.

Today, our focus continues in the book of Psalms, and our scripture will be taken from Psalm 28:7-9, which reads: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore, my heart greatly rejoiced; and with my song will I praise him. The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up forever.”

In these verses, the Lord is reminded of the profound relationship we can cultivate with him. The descriptions of the Lord as our strength and shield reassure us that, regardless of the challenges we face, we can trust in God's protection and support. This trust fills our hearts with joy so profound that it compels us to express our gratitude through song and praise.

As we pray, let’s reflect on how we can draw closer to God in our daily lives. Let us pray for His guidance and blessings upon us, and also those around us. Let’s seek His strength and nourishment as we navigate our daily tasks.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.

Father, we come before you with our hearts bowed low, humbled by your majesty, and lifted high in gratitude for the precious gift of this new day. Lord, you are the light in our path and the anchor for our weary souls. Thank you for awakening and giving us another opportunity to pray and surrender to you.

Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding us that “the Lord is our strength and our shield; our heart trusted in you, and we are helped: therefore, our heart greatly rejoiced; and with our song we will praise you. The Lord is our strength, and he is the saving strength of our anointed. Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up forever.”

Lord, we come before you with grateful hearts, acknowledging your unwavering presence in our lives. You are our ultimate source of strength and protection, a steadfast shield in times of trouble. We place our trust in you, knowing that in doing so, we will find solace and assistance. Our hearts overflow with joy because of your goodness, and we express our gratitude through our songs of praise.

You, O Lord, are not only our strength but also the embodiment of salvation for your chosen ones. We are eternally thankful for your commitment to saving your people and blessing our inheritance. Please nurture and sustain us, lift us up in your boundless love.

Lord, we place our trust completely in you, because you have proven yourself faithful in every generation. You have been faithful to our ancestors, you have been faithful to us, and you will be faithful to those who come after us.

Lord, we are praying and lifting our voices in praise, not because everything in our lives is perfect, but because you are perfect. We praise you not because we have all that we desire, but because you are all that we need. Our songs of worship rise from grateful hearts that recognize your goodness in every season.

Lord, even in times of trial, you are present. Even in times of silence, you are working. Even in moments of sorrow, you are holding us close.

Father, you are our refuge, our shield, and our strong tower. When the storms of life rage around us, you are steady. When fear creeps into our hearts, you are reminding us that you are near. When we stumble and fall short, your mercy catches us, and your grace lifts us up again.

Father, help us not to resist your will, nor cling to our own plans, nor cling to our own understanding, nor cling to our own strength. Teach us to let go of what we cannot control and to rest in the knowledge that you hold all things in your hands. Help us to serve you not out of obligation, but out of love, out of joy, and out of faithfulness.

Lord, you are the saving strength of your anointed. Please pour out your blessing on us, your people. Save us from the snares of the enemy, deliver us from the burdens of life, and strengthen us to be bold in the call you have placed upon our lives. Bless us not just with material things, but with wisdom, peace, and faith. Help us when we grow weary, when we falter, and when we forget that your power is made perfect in our weakness.

Lord, be the balm of healing where there is hurt, the bridge of reconciliation where there is division, and the light of truth where there is confusion.

Father, surround us with your divine protection. Keep us safe from harm, shield us from danger, and guard our hearts from fear. Let your angels encamp around us, watching over our steps as we go about our days. Protect our homes, our loved ones, and our futures.

Lord, teach us to rejoice always, to pray without ceasing, and to give thanks in all circumstances. Put a new song in our hearts, one that declares your greatness and testifies of your goodness. May our words, our actions, and even our thoughts bring glory to you.

Father, as we go through this day, help us to remember that we are never alone. You go before us.

Lord, may our faith grow deeper, our love grow wider, and our hope shine brighter as we wait for the day when we will see you face to face.

In the mighty, precious, and holy name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
