Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is February 28, the 59th day of the year, and it's an honor to pray with you on this spiritual journey.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic, located in Salem, New Jersey. It brings me joy to connect with each of you as we embark on this prayer journey together.
As stated in previous episodes, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We start in Genesis and will end in the book of Revelation.
Today, we are going to continue in the book of Psalms, and our scripture will be taken from Psalm 29:1-2, which reads: “Give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
As we pray, let’s reflect on how we can let our hearts be lifted in praise, recognizing the magnificence and splendor of the Lord's divine presence.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Glorious Redeemer and Wonderful Savior.
Father, we come before you with humbled hearts, giving you thanks for another day and another opportunity to come in your presence.
Father, thank you for another moment to pray. It is an honor to worship you, and we do not want to take this moment for granted.
Father, you are reminding us to “give unto the Lord, O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”
Lord, as we go through this day, let us offer praise and reverence to you, recognizing your enormous glory and the boundless strength that you represent. Lord, every day, help us to acknowledge the greatness of your creation and the power that sustains the universe. So, we can honor your presence that guides and protects us.
Father, as we navigate the challenges of each day, we admit that we sometimes grow weary. Life brings uncertainties, responsibilities, and burdens that weigh us down, but you want us to cast all our cares upon you because you care for us.
Lord, help us to turn our eyes toward you every day. Whether in the valley or on the mountaintop, help us to worship you with hearts surrendered, knowing that our praise belongs to you in good times and in difficult times.
Father, teach us to worship not only with our lips but with our lives. Let our actions, our words, and even our thoughts glorify you. As we gather in our services, as we fellowship with others, as we go about our daily work, help us to live as worshippers who reflect your light. May our praise be more than a song, may it be the very posture of our hearts.
Lord, help us to give unto you the glory and strength that is due unto your holy name. Help us to recognize that every blessing, every victory, every breakthrough, and even every lesson comes from you. You deserve all the glory, all the honor, and all the praise. Help us never to forget that we live and move and have our being in you.
Father, teach us to worship you in the beauty of holiness. Strip away anything within us that hinders us from seeing your majesty. Cleanse our hearts of pride, unforgiveness, and distraction.
Lord, sanctify us by your Spirit so that we can stand in astonishment of you with pure and reverent hearts. Help us not to grow casual in your presence but to marvel continually at your wonders. When we consider the heavens, the work of your hands, and the miracles you perform daily in our lives, may our souls be filled with gratitude and reverence.
Lord, help us to praise you for your excellent power in our lives and thank you for healing us when we feel broken, for strengthening us when we feel weak, for sending us peace when our hearts are troubled, and for giving us guidance when we don’t know which way to turn.
Lord, we recognize that without you, we are nothing; but with you, we are more than conquerors. Let us never forget that your power is made perfect in our weakness.
Father, we thank you for your word, which is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Teach us to dwell in your words daily, that our worship may be rooted in truth. Help us to hunger and thirst after righteousness so that we may be filled. Lord, let your word transform us from the inside out, shaping us to look more like you, Christ, each day.
Lord, help us to trust you more deeply, to wait on you with patience, and to believe that your plans for us are good, even when we cannot see the whole picture. Remember our families, our friends, our neighbors, and everyone who is praying and reaching out for your help. Lord, we know you have the power to provide for the needy and bring healing to the sick. Draw us closer to you, Comfort and strengthen each and every one of us. Let your spirit move mightily in our midst so that many will come to know you as their Lord and Savior.
Lord Jesus, let our gratitude be expressed not only in words but in the lives we live that honor you.
We seal this prayer in the magnificent and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
