“For this shall everyone that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.” (Psalm 32:6-7)

Welcome to another daily prayer. Keep on praying. The Lord will protect and safeguard you from all trouble. In times of distress, every righteous individual will earnestly seek the Lord, knowing that He is a refuge in moments of trouble. When the torrential waters of adversity rise and threaten to overwhelm, they shall not come near us, for the Lord provides safety and solace. The Lord is our sanctuary, our place of refuge; He promises to safeguard us from the challenges that life may bring. Surrounding us are the melodies of freedom and hope, a chorus of deliverance that reassures our spirit and lifts our burdens.

Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is March 2, the 61st day of the year. Let us take a moment to give God thanks for another day and another opportunity to surrender to him.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It brings me great joy to connect with each of you during our prayer.

As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers this year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Beginnings in Genesis and concluding in Revelation.

Today, we are continuing in the book of Psalms. Our scripture will be taken from Psalm 32:6-7, which reads: “For this shall everyone that is godly pray unto thee in a time when thou mayest be found: surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come nigh unto him. Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.”

The Lord is our hiding place, and he will preserve us from trouble. Let us pray with songs of deliverance, so that even amidst life’s challenges, our hope in the Lord will bring us strength.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Glorious, Wonderful, and Miraculous Savior.

Father, we come before you with humble and grateful hearts. Thanking you for the gift of life, and for this precious moment to gather in prayer. Thank you for reminding us that “everyone that is godly should pray unto thee in a time when you may be found; surely in the floods of great waters they shall not come near.” Lord, you are our hiding place. You are the one who preserves us from trouble and surrounds us with songs of deliverance.

Father, we are in constant need of your presence. Without you, we are weak, but with you, we are strong. Without you, we are lost, but with you, we will find direction, peace, and joy.

Lord, today we are praying and lifting our voices in praise, asking you for deliverance not only from the visible dangers around us but also from the hidden battles within us. Deliver us from fear, doubt, and despair. Deliver us from the snares of the enemy and from the temptations that seek to pull us away from you.

Lord, you see every burden we carry. You know the pain that sometimes weighs heavily on our hearts, and the worries that keep us up at night. But you are faithful, Father. You are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. And so, we lean on you. We rest in your promises, for you are assuring us that you will never leave us nor forsake us.

Gracious Lord, we desire a deeper, richer relationship with you. We want you to draw us closer to you. Father, remove every distraction and every barrier that keeps us from fully experiencing your presence. Teach us to love you with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength. May our relationship with you not be based only on asking for help in times of trouble, but rooted in constant fellowship, worship, and devotion.

Lord Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice on the cross. Thank you for bearing our sins, our shame, and our pain. Through your blood, we have redemption and forgiveness. Through your resurrection, we have the assurance of eternal life. Help us to never take that gift for granted. Help us live each day in gratitude and obedience, honoring you in our thoughts, words, and actions.

Father, cover our families with your protection. Place a hedge of protection around our homes. Guard our coming in and our going out. Preserve us from dangers seen and unseen. Remind us that no weapon formed against us shall prosper, for you have not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Lord, fill our hearts with songs of deliverance. Replace our desires with shouts of praise, our tears with testimonies of your goodness. Teach us to worship you even when we are weary, to give you thanks even in moments of trials, and to rejoice always in the knowledge that you are working all things together for our good.

Lord, as we close this prayer, help us to surrender everything into your hands. Our worries, our fears, our hopes, and our dreams. Help us to lay them at your feet. Knowing that you are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think. And so, we rest in your love, we rest in your faithfulness, and we rest in your promises.

In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Deliverer, our Savior, and our soon-coming King, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
