Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is March 12, marking the 71st day of the year. Let us take a moment to express our gratitude to God for the gift of life and for another opportunity to come together in prayer.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It fills my heart with joy to connect with each of you during our daily prayer.
As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers this year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We started in Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.
Today, our scripture will be taken from Psalm 51:1-2, which reads: “Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity and cleanse me from my sin.”
Today, as we pray, let us ask the Lord to show us his mercy, purify our hearts, and wash with his blood.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father, our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with humble hearts, offering you thanks. Thank you for waking us up this morning, and for the ability to see with our, to hear with our ears, and to feel with our hands.
Lord, “Have mercy upon us, O God, according to Your lovingkindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out our transgressions. Wash us thoroughly from our iniquities and cleanse us from our sins.”
O God, you are filled with lovingkindness. May your lovingkindness surround us, guard our hearts and actions, and help us find solace and strength in your grace during times of trial and need. Lord, show us your mercy, forgive us, and make us new.
Father, in recognition of your compassion, steadfast love, countless grace, loving kindness, and the countless mercies you are bestowing upon us. Lord, please cleanse us completely from the burdens of our iniquities, erase our transgressions. and remove the weight of our sins from our minds. Purify our hearts and wash away our iniquities, shortcomings, and faults. So, we can be cleansed and restored from the weight of our sins. Help us to seek your forgiveness and the chance to start anew and walk in the light of your forgiveness and embody your grace in our daily activities.
Father, we are asking not only for forgiveness but also for transformation. Renew our spirits and help us to walk in holiness. Remove bitterness, anger, and fear, and replace them with patience, love, and peace. Teach us to forgive others as you forgive us. Help us to extend grace to those who may have wronged us, to love our neighbors, and to see others through with compassion.
Lord, we pray for strength in times of trial. Life can feel overwhelming, the burdens heavy, and the path unclear. Father, we are praying and asking you to help us to hold fast to your promises. grant us courage to face challenges with faith, wisdom, and perseverance to keep moving forward even when the way is hard. Help us to remember that your strength is made perfect in our weakness, and that your grace is always sufficient.
Lord, remember everyone who is in need. Let your healing hand touch our bodies and bring us comfort. May our hearts be opened to your truth, and may we know you as our Savior.
Lord, deepen our relationship with you. Draw us closer to you in prayer, and let us be satisfied with our faith, and thirst for righteousness. Help us to surrender fully to you, trusting that you know the plans you have for us and that you are working all things for our good.
Father, in closing, fill us with hope. In a world filled with uncertainty, thank you for reminding us that our hope is anchored in you. Help us to remember that no matter what we face today, our future in you is secure. Let this hope give us courage to endure, and faith that never wavers at your promises.
Lord, we offer this prayer in the holy and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. To Him be all glory, honor, and praise, now and forevermore…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
