Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is March 13, marking the 72nd day of the year. Today, let's pray with thanksgiving for the gift of life and for the opportunity to come together in prayer.

I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It fills my heart with joy to connect with each of you during our daily prayer.

As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers this year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We started in Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.

Today, we are continuing in the book of Psalms. Our scripture will be taken from Psalm 54:2, which reads: “Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth.”

Today, as we pray, let us ask the Lord to hear our prayers and be attentive to our supplications. Ask him to show us his mercy and purify our hearts with thanksgiving.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father, our Loving God and Faithful Savior.
Father, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude and reverence. We are pleasing and begging you to “Hear our prayer, O God; and give ear to the words of our mouth.” knowing you are near to all who call on your name in truth and holiness.

Father, thank you for the ability to gather in your presence. Thank you for our family and friends, thank you for the shelter and for food. You are so generous and faithful, even when we fall short, we acknowledge that every good thing in our lives comes from you.

Lord, thank you for reminding us that you are the source of wisdom, and your understanding goes far beyond what we can comprehend. In a world filled with uncertainty, we cling to the truth that your thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and your ways higher than our ways. Lord, give us the courage to persist in prayer and help us stand firm in faith when the world around us feels shaky and unstable, help us not to lose faith on you.

O Lord, we hold fast to your promises that no obstacle is greater than your power, no darkness can overcome your light, and no trial is beyond your reach.

Father, hear our prayer, and give ear to the words of our mouth. Father, listen closely to our hopes and the desires of our hearts. Fill us with a spirit of joy and contentment, even in trials. Lord, you see those who are sick, and those who need healing. We are praying for those who are grieving, bring comfort. For those who are burdened by poverty or injustice, provide relief and hope.

Lord, use us as instruments of your peace and compassion, that we may reflect the love of Christ to all we encounter. Help us to walk in forgiveness, both receiving it from you and extending it to others. Where there is division, bring unity. Where there is bitterness, bring healing. Where there is despair, let hope arise. May our lives be marked not by fear, anger, or resentment, but by love, patience, and kindness that testify to your Spirit at work within us.

Father, guide us in our daily decisions, both great and small. Let our choices align with your will and bring us closer to your heart. May our work be done with integrity, our relationships be built on love, and our words bring encouragement and truth. Let every aspect of our lives be a testimony to your goodness.

Lord, we ask that you fill us with the peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Keep us steadfast in prayer, faithful in service, and joyful in our hope in you. May we continue to walk by faith, not by sight, knowing that your hand is upon us and that you will never leave us nor forsake us.

We seal this prayer in the mighty and gracious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior…Amen.

Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
