“As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.” (Psalm 55:16-17)
Welcome to another daily prayer. Don’t stop praying. Pray in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. "In my heart, I have made the decision to earnestly call upon God, believing with unwavering faith that the Lord will be my salvation. I will dedicate myself to prayer at all times—morning, noon, and evening. My voice will rise in fervent cries to Him, and I trust that He will hear me, embracing my pleas with compassion and grace."
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. I hope you are having a great day and still rejoicing. Today is March 14, marking the 73rd day of the year. Today, let us keep on praying for prayer works.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. It fills my heart with joy to connect with each of you during our daily prayer.
As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers this year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. Started in Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.
Today, our scripture will be taken from Psalm 55:16-17, which reads: “As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.”
Today, the Lord is encouraging us to pray in the morning, at noon, and in the evening. He wants us to develop a stronger relationship with him.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Almighty and Sovereign God. Father, we come before you overflowing with gratitude and reverence. Thank you for encouraging us to pray without ceasing, to lift our hearts and voices to you continually in prayer and surrender fully to you.
Father, as your servant David proclaimed, “As for me, I will call upon God, and the Lord shall save me. Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and He shall hear my voice.”
Lord, today, we are giving you thanks. Thank you for hearing our voice. Today, we are echoing these same words. We want our lives to be bathed in prayer, and anchored in communion with you. So, teach us how to truly to pray and set our hearts upon you from sunrise to sunset. Teach how not to get discourage nor disappointed.
In the mornings, Father, awaken our spirits to greet the dawn with joy. Before the noise of the day begins, teach us to turn our eyes to you, aligning our thoughts, our plans, and our intentions with your will during our prayer. Lord, may the first words from our lips during our prayer be praise, and may the movements of our hearts be toward obedience. Let us seek your presence before we seek the things of the world, that every step we take throughout the day would be guided by your spirit and bring joy to your heart.
Lord, you want us to pray at noon. When the day is busy, and the world demands our attention, help us not to forget about who you are. In the middle of work, conversations, decisions, and distractions, let us pause, take a break, even if only for a moment, to lift our eyes to heaven, surrender our hearts, and to pray earnestly. Remind us that wisdom flows from you, that strength is found in you, and that peace is sustained in you alone.
Father, in the evenings encourage us and remind us to pause and reflect on your goodness. As the world quiets down and the shadows lengthen, help us to look back on the day with hearts that remember your faithfulness. Where we have stumbled, let us find your forgiveness. Where we have seen your blessings, help us to lift up thanksgiving and shout with praise. And where we have experienced sorrow or trial, help us to rest in the assurance that you were with us in every moment.
Father, you are our refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. Teach us to pour out our hearts thoroughly to you, holding nothing back. Help us to trust you enough to bring our deepest fears and our unspoken desires before your throne. For you, O Lord, you are listening. You notice everything has promised never to leave us nor forsake us, and in that promise, we find comfort in the God in whom we serve.
Lord, remind us daily that deliverance comes from You. You are the God who heals, who restores, who redeems, and who provides. When we cannot see the way forward, remind us you are the light that guides us. When we are weary, remind us you are the rest our souls in you are pray three times a day. When we are broken, remind us you are the one who bounds up our wounds with gentleness and care.
Father, even in times of joy, keeps our hearts humble and grateful. Help us to never take you for granted.
Lord, we pray not only for ourselves but for those around us. For the hurting, we ask for healing touches throughout our lives. For the anxious, we ask for peace. Let us be instruments of your love and encouragement to those you place in our path.
Father, may our prayers rise before you as incense, day and night, a continual offering of trust, faith, and worship. And may we learn to listen as much as we speak.
Lord, we thank you for the gift of prayer and for the privilege of approaching you with faith and with humility.
In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord, we pray…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow. Bye-bye.
