“What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord.” (Psalm 116:12-13)
Welcome to another daily prayer. "What can I offer in gratitude to the Lord for all the countless blessings and benefits He has graciously bestowed upon me? In response to His generosity, I will raise the cup of salvation in a heartfelt acknowledgment and call upon the name of the Lord, seeking His guidance and support."
Good morning, everyone! Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Today is March 31, the 90th day of the year.
I’m your host, Dr. Victoria Haddad, the First Lady and Prayer Leader at Elyon Bible Church Apostolic in Salem, New Jersey. Thank you for joining us another day, as we gather in prayer.
As mentioned in previous episodes, our prayers throughout the year will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We began our journey in Genesis and will conclude in Revelation by the end of the year.
Today, we are delving deeper into the book of Psalms. Our focus will be on Psalm 116:12-13, which reads: “What shall I render to the Lord For all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord.”
The Lord is inviting us to consider the countless blessings we receive from him, a source of love, guidance, and strength in our lives.
As we pray, let us take this moment to reflect on our own lives and think about how we can honor God for all He has done for us.
Let’s Pray
Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.
Father, we come before you with reverence, humility, and thanksgiving. we gather in this moment not out of routine, but out of a deep longing to be near you, to rest in your presence, to acknowledge your greatness, and to pour our hearts out to you in prayer.
Lord, “What shall I render to the Lord for all His benefits toward me? I will take up the cup of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord”
Truly, you have blessed us beyond measure. You are our gift of your mercy. Every morning we awaken is a testimony of your unfailing love, and every trial we endure becomes an opportunity to witness your sustaining grace.
Lord, thank you for the gift of salvation. Thank you for your sacrifice on the cross, for the blood that cleanses us from all sin, and for the empty tomb that proclaims victory over death. We praise you for the holy spirit, who comforts us, guides us into truth, and empowers us to live as children of light. Without you, lord, we are lost. But with you, we are more than conquerors.
Lord, give us the courage to pray without ceasing. Teach us to seek you not only in times of desperation but also in moments of joy, peace, and abundance. Remind us that prayer is not merely a duty, but a continual conversation with the one who knows us. Stir in us a hunger for prayer, that we may find joy in your presence day and night.
Father, help us not to contemplate what we owe you in return, for you are reminding us that our gratitude doesn’t need to be expressed only through grand gestures but also through our willingness to accept the gift of salvation.
Father, calling upon the name of the Lord reinforces our relationship with you and reminds us that we are never alone in our struggles. Help us to acknowledge the grace offered to us and be committed to living out our faith. By “taking up the cup of salvation,”
Lord, our world often chooses darkness over light, pride over humility, and division over unity. Pour out your mercy upon the nations. Guide us with wisdom, soften our hearts, remove anger, and raise us up as peacemakers. In the midst of uncertainty and turmoil, may we, your people, shine as beacons of hope and carriers of your peace.
Father, help us to worship and praise you with genuine devotion. Strip away any hypocrisy, distraction, or complacency in our hearts. Replace it with purity, sincerity, and reverence. May our lives become living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to you. Let our words, thoughts, and actions testify of your goodness.
Lord, let our hearts burn with fervent prayer. Fan the flame of our faith so it never grows dim. Help us to remain steadfast, unshaken, and anchored in your promises. When we are tempted, remind us that your grace is sufficient. When we stumble, lift us with your mercy. When we are weak, let your strength be made perfect in us.
Father, we offer all glory, honor, and praise to you. Keep us faithful until the day we see you face-to-face, when every tear will be wiped away, and we will worship you forever in your kingdom.
In the precious name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.
Everyone. Keep on praying, keep on trusting God. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
