Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Song of Solomon 2:16, and it reads: “My beloved is mine, and I am his: he feeds among the lilies.”

The Lord is reminding us of his love and the intimate relationship we can have not only with our beloved but also with God Himself. As we reflect on this scripture, let us open our hearts to the depths of love that God is offering and the sweet communion we can have in His presence.

So, let us pray and invite the presence of the Lord into our hearts and our conversation.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior.

Father, we bow before you with reverence and gratitude. It is truly a privilege to approach your throne of grace in prayer. In this sacred moment, help us to set aside every distraction, seek only to be with you, to hear from you, and to rest in your unfailing love.

Lord, thank you for the gift of prayer, the gift of communion with you. You are reminding us that: “My beloved is mine, and I am His: He feeds among the lilies.”

Father, what a precious truth it is to know that you call us your beloved, and you claim us as your own. There is no greater security, no greater comfort, than knowing we belong fully to you. In turn, you are ours, not because we have earned such a gift, but because of your mercy and your sacrifice. You nourish us gently, like a shepherd leading his flock, like a gardener tending his lilies with patience and care.

Lord, may our spirits always find rest in your embrace. Fill our hearts with joy that cannot be shaken by circumstances, for your love is constant, through seasons of abundance and seasons of lack, through times of laughter and times of tears. Help us to remember that you sustain us when we are serving you uprightly, and that your grace is sufficient. Teach us to rest not in our own understanding, but in your perfect wisdom and power.

Lord, we acknowledge that this bond we share with you is priceless, unbreakable, and eternal. It was crafted not by our works, but by your blood and mercy on the cross. May we never take it for granted. Instead, help us to walk daily in gratitude, living out our faith with love, kindness, and humility. Let our lives be a testimony that we are yours, and may others see in us your light and draw closer to you.

Father, we bring before you our burdens and our struggles. We know that you see the hidden places of our hearts, the wounds that no one else sees, and the fears that try to silence us. Lord, we surrender all to you now. Heal what is broken, comfort what is weary, and strengthen what is weak. Remind us that we are never alone, for you are Emmanuel, God with us. When the storms of life rage around us, let us cling to you, our Rock and our Refuge.

Lord, thank you for the blessings you have poured into our lives, the daily provisions we often overlook, the moments of joy that lift our spirits. Thank you for every sunrise, for every breath, and for every opportunity to draw closer to you. May we never cease to give you thanks, because all good gifts come from you.

Lord, guide our steps. Lead us in paths of righteousness for your name’s sake. Help us to discern your will, and follow it, even when it is difficult. Teach us to love others as you have loved us. Help us to be patient, forgiving, and selfless. Let us be instruments of your peace in a world that so desperately needs you.

Father, help us to keep our eyes fixed on you. Thank you for reminding us that this world is not our final home. One day, we will relax in your glory forever, free from pain, sorrow, and sin. Until that day, help us to remain faithful, steadfast, and hopeful, trusting that every trial we endure will be light in comparison to the eternal joy that awaits us in your presence.

Lord, with hearts full of gratitude, humility, and love, we surrender this prayer to You, trusting in Your goodness and faithfulness. “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come.”

Thank you for reminding us that “My beloved is mine, and I am His: He feeds among the lilies.”

We pray all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord…Amen.

Everyone. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
