Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. Our scripture will be taken from Isaiah 11:4-5, and it reads: “With righteousness, He shall judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, and with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of His loins, And faithfulness the belt of His waist.”

The Lord is reminding us not to stop praying. Pray for righteousness and faithfulness. With unwavering righteousness, the Lord will bring justice to the poor, ensuring that their needs and voices are heard. The Lord will make decisions for the meek of the earth, upholding our majesty and rights. He will bring an end to the wicked and those who do injustice.

As we pray, let us open our hearts to the depths of God's love and invite the presence of the Lord into our lives.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before your throne of grace with reverence, gratitude, and hope. We are lifting our voice before you in devotion, for you are holy and just, merciful and kind.

Lord, you are the one who was, who is, and who is to come. We bow before you in admiration of your majesty, for you alone are worthy of all glory, honor, and praise.

Father, thank you for reminding us that: “With righteousness, you shall judge the poor and decide with equity for the meek of the earth; you shall strike the earth with the rod of your mouth, and with the breath of your lips you shall slay the wicked. Righteousness shall be the belt of your loins, and faithfulness the belt of your waist.”

Lord, thank you for being perfect in righteousness and steadfast in faithfulness. You are reminding us that your righteousness shall be the belt of your loins, and faithfulness the belt of your waist. Lord, we come before you with our hearts full of gratitude for your perfect righteousness and unwavering faithfulness. Your righteousness is like a belt around your loins, securing us in strength and integrity, while your faithfulness is like a girdle around your waist, fastening us with trust and assurance.

Lord, you do not grow weary, nor do you turn away from your promises. We are grateful that we belong to such a God, one who clothes himself in truth, justice, and mercy. Thank you for instilling in us the understanding that these qualities not only define who you are but also shape our lives as we seek to follow your character. Help us to express your righteousness in our actions and your faithfulness in our relationships, so that we can reflect your glory in all we do.

Lord, help us to live each day in a way that reflects your love. Teach us to put on righteousness as our garment, to let truth guide our step, and help us to remain steadfast in our faithfulness even when life is not perfect. Lord, help us never to forget that we are called to be your children in this world. Help us to live a life that is pleasing to you, so that others can see your light shining through us.

Father, grant us compassion in abundance. Break our hearts from what is wrong. Open our hearts to seek you during our time of suffering. Give us the courage to speak words of encouragement to the oppressed, the wisdom to stand for what is right, and the love to embrace those who are going through a sorrowful moment. May our words bring healing and our actions bring excellence to those who have been silenced.

Lord, help us not to fall short. Not to become distracted, not to grow weary, and not to choose comfort over the spiritual things of God. Father, help us not to remain silent when we should speak. Help us not to withhold compassion when we can extend your mercy. Lord, wash us clean and restore us in obedience.

Lord, strengthen our faith during our time of weakness. Teach us to rely not on our own understanding but to trust you fully. When the burdens of life feel heavy, remind us that your yoke is easy and your burden is light. When our faith wavers, remind us that you are faithful even when we are not. When we feel surrounded by darkness, remind us that the light of Christ shines brighter than any shadow.

Father, remember everyone who is battling illness, everyone who is carrying grief, and everyone who is wrestling with fear. Let your healing hand rest upon each and every one of us, let your peace that surpasses understanding guard our hearts, and let your Spirit bring hope into our lives.

Father, remove division, violence, and suffering that is flowering on every side throughout the world.  Lord, let your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Raise up leaders who will act with justice and humility, and help us to fill our communities with love and reconciliation.

Lord, teach us to be faithful in our prayers, not just in times of need, but in every moment of our lives. Let prayer be the rhythm of our hearts and the joy of our souls so that we can give thanks always.

Father, may our lives be a reflection of your love, grace, and integrity.

In the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
