Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.

Today, we are diving into the book of Obadiah. Our scripture will be taken from Obadiah 1:17, which reads: “But on Mount Zion, there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.”

The Lord brings deliverance and holiness into our lives. He wants us to return to a state of purity and integrity in our covenant relationship with him. On Mount Zion, a place of divine promise and hope, there shall be deliverance for all saints, a deliverance from all struggles and challenges. This sacred ground will proceed with holiness, a purity that sets it apart and invites the faithful. The descendants of Jacob, representing the tribes of Israel, will cherish their rightful heritage, securing not just their land but also their identity and blessings.

The Lord is assuring us that, despite the trials we face, we can regain our rightful place and inheritance. For he is giving us deliverance from oppression and the ability to reclaim what has been taken from us.

Today, as we pray, let us reflect on resilience, faith, and divine justice, which remain significant in our lives today.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we cherish the precious gift of prayer. Thank you for allowing us to come before your throne of grace. Thank you for your endless mercy, for your love that never fails, and for the hope we have in you.

Lord, you are reminding us that, “On Mount Zion, there shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.” Lord, we hold fast to this promise. We believe that in you, there is freedom. In you, there is holiness. In you, there is the inheritance of every blessing you have set aside for us, your children.

Lord, we are seeking your deliverance and guidance in our lives. Please free us from every ungodly thought that seeks to trap our minds and lead us astray. Purify our hearts and cleanse us from negativity. Help us to let go of any doubts or fears that may cloud our judgment. Shape us into instruments of honor, so we may serve you and others with love, integrity, and compassion. Let your spirit dwell within us, guiding our actions and thoughts as we strive to walk in your light and reflect your grace to the world around us.

Lord, on our own, we are weak. We stumble. We fall short. But through Your Spirit, we are made strong. Help us to stay clear of sin, resist temptation, and choose the path of holiness that leads to freedom and peace. Teach us to accept righteousness and increase our faith in you, Christ Jesus.

Father, bestows upon us the courage we need to face the challenges of life with boldness. May our actions reflect a commitment to holiness, help us to live with integrity and purpose in all that we do. When the road feels uncertain, and the weight of trials presses in, remind us that you are with us. Remind us that you go before us and pave the way. Help us to hold tightly to the path you have laid out before us, never returning to a life of sins but remaining anchored in your presence. Keep us standing firm in holiness and in truth.

Lord, strengthen our faith and deepen our trust in you. Help us to recognize the abundance you have bestowed upon us and to fully embrace the blessings we are meant to possess. Give us the courage to seek your guidance in all aspects of our lives, knowing that you desire us to flourish in our struggles and triumphs. As we journey through life, remind us that our true possessions are rooted in your love and grace, encouraging us to hold onto our faith in times of uncertainty. Especially in circumstances that seem overwhelming. Fill us with certainty that you are faithful, that you are good, and that you are working all things together for our good and for your glory. Teach us to live each day for your glory, offering up our lives as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable in your sight.

Father, you know every challenge that weighs heavily on our hearts. The struggles in our minds, the burdens in our families, and the pain in our bodies. Help us to release control, to surrender fully, and to rest in the knowledge that you are sovereign over every detail of our lives.

Father, soften our hearts toward others. Give us compassion for those who are hurting, patience with those who misunderstand us, and grace for those who fall short, as we also have fallen short. Teach us to forgive as we have been forgiven, and to walk in unity with all saints. Father, we are also praying for protection. Shield us from the attacks of the enemy. Cover us under your blood.

Lord, as we close this prayer, thank you for the gift of salvation, for the hope of eternity, and for the promise that nothing can separate us from your love.

In the holy and mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray…Amen.

Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
