Welcome to another episode of the EBC’s Prayer Podcast. As mentioned earlier, our prayers throughout the year will be taken from the 66 books of the Bible. We began in the book of Genesis and will conclude in the book of Revelation.

Today, we are diving into the book of Zechariah. Our scripture will be taken from Zechariah 2:10, and it reads: “Shout and be glad, Daughter Zion. For I am coming, and I will live among you,” declares the Lord.”

Let us pray without ceasing and shout with gladness. For the Lord is coming soon. Let us lift our voices in joy and celebrate, the Lord wants to dwell among us. He will bring comfort, hope, and restoration, transforming our lives into a living testimony of his love and faithfulness.

As we pray, let us embrace this assurance, for the dawn of a new mercy is at hand. The Lord's desire is for us to establish a new beginning, where peace reigns, and joy fills our hearts.

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Redeemer.  Father, we come before you in this sacred moment, filled with gratitude and humility. Thank you for the gift of prayer, a powerful moment through which we can connect with you. Today, we are lifting our voices in joyous celebration, for you want us to shout and be glad. You are coming, and you will live among us.

Lord, what a comfort it is to know that you are not a distant God, but rather a loving Father who desires to dwell intimately with us, your children. We rejoice in the knowledge that we are never abandoned. Even when life’s burdens feel overwhelming and trials attack us from every side, you are ever-present. Your Spirit resides in us, offering a peace that the world cannot provide, a joy that transcends our circumstances, and a hope that remains unshaken.

Lord, we acknowledge that there are times when we forget to embrace gladness. We allow fear, doubt, and the relentless cares of this world to silence the joyful song within our hearts. Forgive us for highlighting worry over worship and silence over praise. Today, we are lifting our voices and praising you during our prayer.

Lord, help us to shout praises and rejoice because you are steadfast in your faithfulness. You have promised to be with us, and we know your promises are unbreakable.

Lord, we are praying for everyone who feels distant from you at this moment. Help all of us to experience the reality of your presence. To the lonely, be their constant companion. To the weary, offer them rest that renews their spirit. To the anxious, be their calming force. And to those who grieve, be their ever-present comfort.

Lord, may every heart be awakened to the joy of your presence. May we sense you dwelling within every circumstance and lighting every dark shadow with your radiant light.  As you dwell among us, allow your presence to transform our lives. Help us become signals of peace in a world that is often tumultuous, vessels of hope in times of despair, and embodiments of love in a world by division. Let our lives serve as living testimonies of your abiding presence, that others might see your goodness reflected in our compassion, patience, and kindness.

Father, bring healing to places of injury, restoration to areas of devastation, and reconciliation where anger lingers.  As we eagerly await that glorious day when you will return to dwell with us forever, keep our hearts anchored and steadfast. Help us to embrace each day with expectant joy, reminding us that this earthly realm is not our ultimate home. We look forward to the day when every tear will be wiped away, every sorrow will cease, and we will dwell in your glorious presence for eternity.

Lord, with hearts brimming with gladness, we shout for joy because you are here, and you are ever coming. Our hearts sing in exultation, for we know we are never alone. We praise you for your unwavering faithfulness, boundless love, and the enduring hope we possess in you.

We offer this prayer with overflowing gratitude and joy, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Emmanuel, God with us...Amen.

Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
