Welcome to another episode of the EBC's Prayer Podcast. Our prayer will be aligned with the scripture taken from Matthew 11:28, and it reads: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

The Lord wants us to embrace the power of prayer as a source of strength and comfort. God will give us peace during life's difficulties. Bring your challenges, doubts, and the weight of your concerns during your prayer, and God will offer you the relief and peace you are seeking.

As we pray, let us remember that in the presence of the Lord, we will find rest for our souls, comfort in our troubles, and renewal for our spirits.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, with humble hearts, fully overflowing with gratitude, we thank you for the blessed and astonishing gift of prayer. Through this divine practice, we can draw near to your magnificent presence. You are the creator of the heavens and the earth, the one who holds all things together in perfect harmony. What a remarkable honor it is to be welcomed into your holy sanctuary, not because of our own deeds, but solely because of your boundless love and the incredible grace you are pouring out upon us.

Lord, in you, we find our refuge, a secure shelter in times of trouble, a beacon of hope in moments of despair, and a source of peace that surpasses all understanding. During the sacred moments of our prayers, we intentionally lift our eyes away from the chaos and noise of this world and set them upon you, the eternal and unchanging source of comfort. You are the one who promises to be with us through every storm and trial, assuredly alongside us even to the very end of the age.

Lord, you are inviting us to “Come to you, all who are weary and burdened, and you will give us rest.” Here we stand before you, fervently praying and earnestly crying out for your assistance. We, your cherished children, often find ourselves weary, battered by the burdens we carry, and overwhelmed by the weight of life’s challenges that seem insurmountable. In this sacred moment, we do not come relying on our own frail strength; rather, we come in faith, believing that you are the lifter of our weary heads, the restorer of our fragmented souls, and the tender healer of our aching hearts.

You see the numerous worries that distort our thoughts and the creeping doubts that wear down our spirits. You know our struggles intimately, for nothing in our hearts is hidden from you. So now, we lay everything bare before you, every worry that gnaws at our peace, every fear that entangles our hearts, every pain that weighs us down. We surrender it all into your capable hands, trusting wholeheartedly that you are working all things together for our good, just as you have promised to those who love you.

When we feel weak and hesitate under the pressure of our circumstances, please revive our spirits; when we sense loneliness pressing down upon us, surround us with your comforting presence. Pour out your divine wisdom upon us so that in moments of confusion and uncertainty, we might walk with clarity and confidence. Bestow your peace upon us, enabling us to remain steadfast and resolute amidst unrest. Fill our hearts with your joy, that even in the face of trials, we may rejoice, knowing that you are ever near to us.

Lord, we are also lifting those who are suffering, those dealing with grief, those lost in despair, and those tirelessly searching for hope in the shadows of life. Please bind up our wounds, grant us the rest we desperately seek, and fill us with a peace that surpasses human understanding. Use us as instruments of your love, so that through our words, actions, and heartfelt prayers, others may encounter your grace and the transformative power of your kindness.

Lord, thank you for the daily reminder that your mercies are new every morning, filled with fresh hope and boundless love. Teach us to lean not on our limited understanding but to trust you completely with every aspect of our lives. Help us to walk by faith, fully relying on you and confident that you are guiding each step we take, no matter the path ahead.

As we draw this prayer to a close, may our hearts remain anchored in your unchanging love, our minds be securely guarded by your eternal truth, and our spirits be richly filled with your glorious presence.

We seal this heartfelt prayer in the gracious, mighty, and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior… Amen.

Everyone. Please have a great day, and by God’s grace, we will pray again tomorrow…Bye-bye.
