July 18 – Day 199. Pray and Believe

Welcome to another episode of the EBC's Prayer Podcast. As discussed in our previous episodes, our prayers will be rooted in the 66 books of the Bible. We began in Genesis and will conclude in Revelation by the end of the year. 

Today, we are delving into the book of Mark. Our scripture will be taken from Mark 9:23, and it reads: “Jesus said to him, 'If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” 

The Lord wants us to embrace the power of prayer, for when we pray and truly believe, the impossible becomes possible. 

As we pray, let us remember that the Lord is emphasizing the power of faith, reminding us that with belief, challenges can be overcome and the impossible can be achieved.

Let’s Pray

Dear Heavenly Father. Our Lord, God, and Savior. Father, we come before you with grateful hearts, thanking you for this precious moment to connect with you in prayer. It is never something we take lightly, for you respond with love, mercy, and wisdom beyond our comprehension.

Lord, thank you for reminding us that “If we believe, all things are possible to everyone who believes.” You know how often belief feels easy with our lips but difficult in our hearts. You know the places where faith feels strong, and the places where doubt still lingers. You see what we are carrying today. The prayers we have prayed again and again. The hopes we have almost given up on. The fears that linger in our hearts.

Lord, we are bringing all of these to you now. We do not want to pretend that we are stronger than we are.
 We do not want to hide our desires. We want to trust that you will meet us at the points of our needs.

Lord, sometimes we falter. Sometimes the weight of our struggles feels heavier than our faith. Sometimes we pray, but deep inside we still wonder if you will truly come through. Father, forgive us for those moments. Meet us in our weakness and transform it into strength. Replace fear with courage, despair with hope, and hesitation with bold trust. Help us to believe not only with our minds, but with our hearts and with every step we take.

Lord, for the countless times you have proven yourself faithful. For the doors you have opened that we could never have opened ourselves. For the miracles that surround our lives daily, often unnoticed. For the gift of salvation, for the comfort of the holy spirit, for family and friends, and for protecting us even when we didn’t realize it. 

Jesus, help us to be people who believe. Help us believe when circumstances look impossible. Help us believe when the waiting feels long and unanswered. Help us believe when we feel tired, discouraged, or confused. Teach us to trust in you, even when we do not understand your timing.

Lord, you are the same yesterday, today, and forever. Help us to draw nearer to you every day. We do not want to live on yesterday’s faith; we long for a fresh outpouring of belief and assurance today. The miracles you performed, the power that healed the sick, restored the weak, and raised the dead, are still alive today. Nothing is too hard for you, no situation is beyond your reach, and no heart is too wounded for your healing.

Jesus, we bring before you every need. Physical needs and spiritual needs. Restore joy where sorrow has taken root. Renew strength and remind us that you are working even when we cannot see it. Forgive us for limiting you with our doubts. Forgive us for assuming that our situation is too complicated, too far gone, or too broken.

Lord, help us to place our trust in you today. Not because everything makes sense, but because you are faithful. Not because we have all the answers, but because you are good. Help us to believe that you are able, you are willing, and you are present with us right now.

Jesus, strengthen our faith one step at a time. Help us trust you and see your hand in everyday blessings.
 Help us remember past victories and let our faith grow deeper and more rooted in your truth.

Lord, protect us, let our faith grow deeper. Let our lives reflect the faith we have in you. Teach us patience, and remind us that your timing is perfect. What we see as delays, you see as preparation. What we see as setbacks, you use as setups for greater blessings. Help us walk in trust, speak with hope, and act with love.
 Let our belief draw others closer to you. Use our testimony, even in the waiting, to glorify your name.

Jesus, thank you for hearing this prayer. Thank you for loving us beyond measure. Thank you for reminding us that nothing is impossible with you. Help our unbelief and trust that all things are possible through you.

In the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray…Amen.
