For Whom Did Christ Die? (The Doctrine of Limited Atonement)

Cedar Crest BFC Season 1 Episode 104

Who did Jesus die for? At first glance, the answer to this classic Sunday school question seems like it would come straight from John 3:16. However, the whole of Scripture gives an answer that is less broad, though far more enriching to one’s faith and assurance.

The doctrine of Limited Atonement is the “L” in the Calvinist acronym TULIP. While not the most popular teaching, it seeks to protect the sanctity and effectiveness of the cross.
