Cheyne Stilwell:

Hey, there you're listening to the royal awakening podcast. I'm Shane Stilwell, and this is the royal awakening podcast, where we are all about waking up the royal family to who they really are, unifying them as one and partnering together with the original royal family to see breakthrough transformation and restoration in hearts, minds and lives all over, no more living like an orphaned pauper. You are meant to live, move and be a royal so let's get into it. Hey there. Thanks for stopping by today. This podcast episode is going to be a little different than what I've been doing. It's still about royal living. But today I'm also going to incorporate an element you haven't heard on this podcast, and possibly any podcast you're used to listening to these days, I have a little to talk about before I open up the box so you can hear what I'm talking about, but stay tuned. We'll get there. I shared in Episode Seven about how a number of people hear God's invitation to move to a new area and moving there, God has them in a period of simply waiting. They're not used to getting a message of wait here, don't go anywhere, and await further instructions, but during that waiting period, they learn a lot about listening. I invite you to go back and listen to that episode. There's some powerful stuff in there. Well, there does come a time when you are called out of that place of waiting. And sometimes it's not an easy thing, but it's necessary. In the case of Elijah, who I talked about in episode seven, in first king 17, we learn that he was called out of that place of hiding, that place by the KERA Brook, after being there nearly three years. According to research, if you know the account, then you know that God provided for Elijah through a widow in her son. On the surface, we wouldn't consider that to be a shining example of abundance. But when you read on in there, it says that this single jar of oil and this little bit of flour in the house sustained Elijah, the widow and her son until the rains returned to the land. That means it lasted for three years. Something God has highlighted to me recently was how he showed them his supernatural provision as a part of their willingness to follow his instructions, no matter how illogical they might have seemed to them. More recently, God has been taking me to Jehoshaphat and the battle account found in Second Chronicles, chapter 20, which is another significant example of God showing his provision in response to his people following his instructions. I'm going to focus on this one for this episode because of what I'm planning to share with you toward the end. We don't really have time to get into Jehoshaphat full backstory, but you can read about it starting in Second Chronicles, chapter 17, suffice it to say he became very strong during his reign as king of Judah. But in chapter 20, some enemy tribes were planning to make war against Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah. Jehoshaphat was scared to hear this, and immediately began to seek the Lord about it, calling Judah to a fast and then initiating a public conversation with God, with Judah there to listen. I'll let you read the details. But in essence, these other tribes were fixing to evict the people of Judah from as Jehoshaphat put it, the possession that you gave us as an inheritance. Have you ever found yourself in a desperate situation, feeling like your back is against the wall? I believe this is how Jehoshaphat was feeling, based on what he was saying to God in this passage, as you read on in that chapter, you learn that God had them go out to face the army, telling them, listen, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem, listen King Jehoshaphat. This is what the Lord says. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army, for the battle does not belong to you, but to God. Tomorrow you are to march down against them. You will see them coming up the ascent of ZIZ, and you will find them at the end of the valley facing the wilderness of jeruel. You need not fight this battle. Take up your positions. Stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf. O Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid or discouraged. Go out and face them tomorrow, for the Lord is with you. Second. Chronicles, 20 verses, 15 through 17. And as a worship leader, this next part gets me. They all praised and worshiped the Lord, shouting with a loud voice. Notice it says, voice. Singular, the praises were with one voice. I think I'm just going to read straight from Scripture what follows after this. You can find all this in verses 18 through 30. Then Jehoshaphat bowed face down, and all the people of Judah and Jerusalem fell down before the Lord to worship Him. And the Levites, from the Kohathites and the korehites stood up to praise the Lord the God of Israel, shouting in a very loud voice. Early in the morning, they got up and left for the wilderness of Tekoa. As they set out, Jehoshaphat stood up and said, Hear me, O people of Judah and Jerusalem, Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be upheld. Believe in his prophets and you will succeed. Then, Jehoshaphat consulted with the people and appointed those who would sing to the Lord and praised the splendor of His Holiness. As they went out before the army, they were singing Give thanks to the Lord for His loving devotion endures forever. The moment they began their shouts and praises. The Lord set ambushes against the men of Ammon Moab and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah, and they were defeated. The Ammonites and Moabites rose up against the inhabitants of Mount sair, devoting themselves to destruction. And when they had made an end to the inhabitants of Seir, they helped to destroy one another. When the men of Judah came to a place overlooking the wilderness, they looked for the vast army, but there were only corpses lying on the ground. No one had escaped. Then Jehoshaphat and his people went to carry off the plunder, and they found on the bodies an abundance of goods and valuables, more than they could carry away. They were gathering to plunder for three days because there was so much. On the fourth day, they assembled in the valley of barakah, which means blessing, where they blessed the Lord. Therefore that place is called the Valley of barakah to this day, then all the men of Judah and Jerusalem, with Jehoshaphat at their head, returned joyfully to Jerusalem, for the Lord had made them rejoice over their enemies. So they entered Jerusalem and went into the house of the Lord with harps, lyres and trumpets. And the fear of the Lord came upon all the kingdoms of the lands when they heard that the Lord had fought against the enemies of Israel, then Jehoshaphat kingdom was at peace, for his God had given him rest on every side for a while. Now, this has been one of my favorite accounts in Scripture. It was a participatory miracle. God invited Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah to step forward and face their fears, and he showed himself to be faithful.

John 14:

20 says, On that day, you will know that I am in my Father, that you are in me and that I am in you. Essentially, this means that because of what Jesus has done, we can now see that the kingdom of God is alive and well, dwelling and living inside each one of us. It says in the book of Revelation that because of what Jesus has done, we are kings and priests. God is love, and the heart of love is for us to reign with love on the earth. It also says in Luke 24 how Jesus showed the men on the way to Emmaus, the different places in the Hebrew Scriptures where he showed up, the men talked about how their hearts burned within them, as Jesus shared with them. This was the revealing of something that the apostle Paul refers to, in Colossians as the mystery that was hidden for ages and generations. And so with all of that I read, when we go back and we look at Second Chronicles 20 when we read it through a certain lens, I believe God would have us see that on that day when Jehoshaphat and the people went out as God instructed, and when they began to sing, they were releasing the kingdom of God from inside of them, right where they were. They released their salvation into the earth. That day, the Lord was their salvation. Did you know that salvation is a person? The name Jesus literally means the Lord is our salvation. So without any further ado for this episode, I felt like I was supposed to put a song out here. This song is inspired not only by the story of Jehoshaphat, but by some other things as well. And this is a song that God gave me to write down. So as you listen to what the songwriting world calls a work tape version of this song. My prayer is that it encourages you in whatever circumstances you may be facing to lean in, turn your gaze to God, and like Jehoshaphat and Judah did, give thanks in the middle of the challenge, trusting that not only has he got you, but he's inside you the time. Title of this song is the same as the title of this episode. Awareness, when I feel like my back's against the

wall, when I think there's no strength to even draw here you say it's time to lift my voice and give thanks. Oh, oh Lord, when what I see seems to contradict you, even though I may not understand you, I hear you say it's time to lift my voice and give thanks. Oh Lord, so I give thanks to You, Lord, Your love endures forever. I give thanks to You, Lord, love endures forever. Forever, and your truth dismantles the lie that, If possible, priestly, giving thanks. Oh, love endures forever. You raise my awareness. You raise my awareness that you are always present. You were never absent. You. Raise my awareness. Raise my awareness. But you are always present. You will never absent. Holy, only holy Lord, God, Almighty, Father, Son and Spirit. Oh, God. Almighty, Father, Son and Spirit I give thanks. To you, Lord. I give thanks to love endures forever. Love endures forever. Love endures forever.

Cheyne Stilwell:

For anyone asking, I do hope to create a full studio recording of that song sometime. It's one of several. Actually, I hope you enjoyed that, and if you found today's episode and or that song to be encouraging or of any value for your life in any way, I'm going to make a bold ask that I normally do not explicitly make on this podcast, but it's one that I feel I have a green light from the original royal family that is Father, Son and Spirit to make. I'm going to ask you to please consider giving your treasure today, whether that's $1$5, $10.20, dollar, $20 $50 I'm not going to put a limit on it. This ask is not just for keeping the podcast going. It's also to help keep the lights on and a roof over our head. I'm just being real. We greatly appreciate any amount you may be considering. I'll provide a few different ways in the show notes on how you can give electronically, and many thanks in advance for your help in this way. And if you cannot do that today, then I ask that you simply stand with us in prayer. We are firm believers that prayer is very effective when it's offered by faith, whether it's through prayer, through giving or other ways, we continue to be amazed in unexpected and mysterious ways, how God reminds us all and renews our awareness of his eternal and continual presence with us and in us when we partner with him and participate as the Father does his thing and performs His work. Thank you so much for considering my special urgent ask today, and as always, thank you for listening. Thanks again for listening to this podcast, episode of royal awakening with Shane Stilwell.
