Ditching the Entitlement Mindset
In this episode of The Navy SEAL Mindset, I talk about fighting entitlement and realizing you haven't earned the right to take it easy. I share my experience training for a tough swim event, then catching myself wanting to take multiple days off after.
Just because you do something hard once doesn't mean you deserve a break. I discuss embracing discomfort, doing hard things consistently, and expanding your capacity. Set big goals that require stepping outside your comfort zone.
Entitlement makes us weak - we should always feel there is more to do. I challenge listeners to ditch the entitlement mindset. Do the work, day in and day out, without expectation of reward. Keep pushing your limits through difficult experiences. You'll be surprised how much more you're capable of.
