SPEAKER_01And our first stop in the Wayback Machine, the year 1965. It was on this day that the Beach Boys released California Girls.
SPEAKER_02Well, East Coast girls are hit by really dick those styles they wear. And the southern girls with the way they talk, they knock me out when I'm down there. Elvis Presley signed his first recording contract and quit his job as a truck driver. The contract that was with Sun Records. 1979. Disco Demolition Night at Kaminsky Park with a White Sox Tigers double hatter. The plan was to blow up disco albums between games, but fans became unruly and rushed the field. And 2023 on this day, Sheila E becomes the first female solo percussionist to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Alright, that is music history for the 12th of July.
