This is Ronnie and Lane with Wowie Radio, and I have guests in the studio. I have Beth and Jen. They are both from Changemaker Collective, and you guys have an event coming up soon. And I am so excited about this because it just sounds like a great event. And your program, what you do, your organization is amazing as well. So tell us what's coming up.
SPEAKER_00So hey Ronnie, thanks so much for having us. And we have Changemaker Collective Hits East End Social coming up on July 27th. And that's a Monday evening. What better to do than to come out, have some food, have some fun, and connect and change makers showing up in different ways. So we can all meet there. It goes from 5 30 to 8 p.m. And our rain date will be Tuesday, the 28th. We've got anchor and arrow and food from Anti-Fragile and University Wine. A lot of people are showing up and showing out. So come on, come all. We'd love to have you. Is there a fee for this event?
SPEAKER_02No, no fee for this event or just to be members of the collective. We really feel like we want people to come as they are. Show up, show out, let's go. We're not about that. We really want people to come forward that just say, I want community. I want to be a part of something cool. I don't know if you've checked out the East End Social yet. Have you, Ronnie? I have a little bit. Yes, I've been scoping you guys out.
SPEAKER_01So tell us, what is Changemaker Collective? Tell us what your organization is all about.
SPEAKER_02The Changemaker Collective was created out of women that wanted to come together. They have a passion, they have a skill, they have an interest, they have an ability, and maybe a need. Maybe they want to see something happening in the community. So, Ronnie, earlier you were saying we need to strengthen each other's crowns, position each other's crowns, uh, encourage each other, be cheerleaders for each other. Women can often be our worst enemies, and there's a lot of competition. And we're not about that. We're about how do we rise with the tide together? How do we create spaces where women can come together when they have an interest or a passion and create together, make impact together, not only find their inner leader, but lead in our community. Because we know that when women get behind something and want to rock, there's no stopping us. And that's what the changemaker's about. You agree with me wholeheartedly on that one.
SPEAKER_01Wholeheartedly on that one. Tell us one more time. Your event is Monday, July 27th. Where?
SPEAKER_02The Downtown Improvement District has created the East End Social. It's on Heister Street between College and Calder. It's a beautiful space if you haven't checked it out. 5 30 to 8 on July 27th. It's a Monday. What do you got going on on Monday? Be with us. It's a place to be. If you have questions about Changemaker, you just want to get a feel. You know, I had somebody say the other day, Beth, I'm going out on a limb, I'm coming by myself. And I said, No, you're not. You're coming with us. And that's the attitude we have at Changemaker. We're all one and we come together and we bless each other. Come, check us out. I just love that. I want more information.
SPEAKER_01Where do I go?
SPEAKER_02Our website. Obviously, we have our mission on there, information on each of the collectives within Changemaker. We also have all of our events that are going on. We do 12 to 15 events a month. hvchangemakers.com or check us out on socials, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, all that.
SPEAKER_01Repeat that website one more time for us. HVCHangemakers.com. Thank you so much, ladies, for coming in. Beth and Jen, it's been a pleasure. I'm looking forward to this because I think I'm gonna show up.
SPEAKER_02Yes, girl, we all need this kind of an environment. So we'd love to see you. Absolutely.
SPEAKER_01Have a great afternoon.
SPEAKER_02Thank you too.
