And we start in the year 1799. It was on this day that the Rosetta Stone, a tablet with hieroglyphic translations into Greek, was found in Egypt. 1948, the women's suffrage movement in the United States was launched with the opening of the Seneca Falls Convention, which sought to gain certain rights and privileges for women, notably the right to vote. 1909, the first unassisted triple-play of Major League Baseball was made by the Cleveland Indian shortstop Neil Ball in a game against Boston. 1946, Marilyn Monroe acted in her first screen test in 1985. On this day, George Bell won first place in a contest. It was the biggest beat in the contest. His shoe size? 28.5. Oh my bell in age of 26. Stood seven feet ten inches tall. Alan Collins, a founding member of Leonard Skinner, was born on this day in 1952. Alan Gorey, founding member of Average White Band, he is turning 80 years old today. Ryan Harold May, lead guitarist with Queen, is turning 79. Bernie Leadon, singer and guitarist with the Eagles, is turning 79 as well. And Commander Cody, real name George Frain IV, he was born on this day in 1944.

Remember Commander Cody and his lost planet Airmen. My papy said, son, you're gonna drive me to drinking if you don't stop driving that hot rod Lincoln. Have you heard the story of the hot rod race with the Fords and Leggets was setting the pace? That story is true. I'm here to say I was driving that Model A. It's got a Lincoln motor, and it's really souped up. That Model A body makes it look like a pup. Got eight cylinders and uses them all. Got overdrive, just won't stall. With a four-barrel carbon and dual exhaust. With four living gears, you can really get lost. Got safety tubes, but I ain't scared. The brakes are good, the tires fair. Pulled out of San Pedro late one night, the moon and the stars was shining bright. We was driving up great fine hill passing cars like they was standing still. All of a sudden, in a wink of an eye, a Cadillac sedan passed us by. Said, Boys, it's marked for me. By then the tail eye was all you could see. Now the fellas ripped me for being behind. So I thought I'd make the link and unwind. Took my foot off the gas and man alive. I shoved it on down into overdrive. Round it up to 110. My speedometer said that I hit top end. My foot was blue. I cleaned the floor. That's all there is, and it ain't no more. Now the boys all thought lost my sense. And telephone poles look like a picket fence. They said slow down. I see spots, the lines on the road just look like that. Took a corner, side-swiped the truck. Crossed my fingers just for luck. My fenders was clicking the guardrail post. The guy beside me was white as a ghost. Smoke was coming from out of the back when I started gaining on that Cadillac. Knew it could catch him, I thought it could pass. Don't you know by then we'd be low on gas? We had flames coming from out of the side. Feel the tension, man. What arrived? I said, look out, boys, I got a license to fly in that cat, he pulled over and let us buy. Now all of a sudden she started knocking him down in the gym. She started to rockin'. I looked in the mirror, red light was blinking. The cops was after my hot bod Lincoln. They arrested me and they put me in jail and called my papa to throw my bail. And he said, Son, you're gonna drive me to drinkin' if you don't stop driving that hot rod Lincoln.
