We're setting the Wayback Machine to music history. And our first stop on the Wayback Machine, the year 1966. It was on this day that the theme song to the Monkeys TV series was recorded at RCA Studios in Hollywood. Here we come.

There it is, the theme song to the monkeys TV series, recorded on this day in 1966 at the RCA studios in Hollywood. And the only monkey present, and the one who was singing, was Mickey Dolans. On that same day, 50-year-old Frank Sinatra married 20-year-old Mia Farrow. 1981. The mayor of Odessa, Texas, declared today Roy Orbison Day. 1985. On this day, Joan Jett called boxer Mike Tyson before his fight with Larry Sims, which Tyson won handily. Tyson insisted from then on on getting a call from Joan Jett before every fight. He broke tradition for his batt against Buster Douglas in 1990, Tyson's first loss. In 1990, on this day, Vicky Carr opened the ceremonies for the dedication of the Nixon Library.
