G'day everybody, it's Mitch here. Holy shit, 2024, I can't believe we've made it. First and foremost, I was going to say a massive thank you to every single person that was on board last year.
What ended up happening with Straight Out It was something that I could have never imagined that it would get to when I first rocked up to the Oslo Diamond League with not even a business created and sat in the press box and thought, should I better start something here?
Some people will know my NCAA experience and story. Naturally, I went to Wake Forest for three years, had a great time. Certainly wasn't the most switched on athlete but nonetheless got so much out of it from the life perspective.
A guy called Scott McKenzie who you're about to listen to is currently at Lipscomb. He's got his undergraduate, his masters, he's working on his PhD at the moment. He's lowered his times from late 14s, early 15s down to that sub -14 minute marker.
Just an incredible guy and starting a business together that is essentially trying to partner young athletes with the right college coaches, the right college environment and also show that even though you haven't won a national medal even though you haven't maybe hit the criteria that you think you need to go to the NCAA, it's still very possible to do so.
