The Hidden Cost of Not Going All In
today's breakfast club session is going to be on the hidden cost of not going all in, whatever that looks like for you. So whether that be your personal dreams, your relationships, all of that stuff and we have a lot of different things that we're gonna be covering here today. For those of you who would like to engage with us live, you can do so@dnbreakfastclub.com. So hop over to dn breakfast club.com and you can engage with me live pretty much every single week if you're new to the Breakfast Club, welcome. So I know we have people, uh, who tune in from different cities all around the world. The Breakfast Club is where we gather together every single week with our community and we cover everything centered around personal development, life coaching, anything that could essentially make your life better. So every single week is something different, and you can watch past episodes of The Breakfast Club on pretty much all of my social media platforms. You guys can find me all over the internet. So with that being said, let's jump right into it. Typically to get us kick started, we share different life hacks and fun facts that could make your life a little better. And we have a few that I would like to share with you here today. So, here we go. Let's jump into it. The very first life hack that I'm going to, uh, share with you guys is the 5 5 5 focus rule. So the 5, 5, 5 focus rule. And if you're wondering what in the world is that, basically the way it works is you set a timer for 15 minutes and break it into three chunks. Five minutes for planning, where you write down exactly what you'll do. Five minutes for execution, where you're laser focused, and five minutes for reflection what worked, what didn't. And the purpose of this exercise is it trains your brain for short bursts of high performance and builds momentum. So sometimes we get a little bit overwhelmed because we're inundated with a lot of different things that we have to do that we have to take care of. And it does help to just have those little small micro goals, things that you can do to build momentum throughout the day so that you can do a lot more, uh, things that are, that require a lot more of your effort. So let's share, uh, here we have the next one, and that is, name it, to tame it. Uh, this is a hack for overwhelm and I'm sure all of us here can relate, uh, to going through some degree of overwhelm with whatever it is that we have going on. And I know I most certainly have my moments, so. The way it works is, uh, when you feel anxiety or procrastination creeping in, stop and literally say out loud, I'm feeling blank because blank. And the, the purpose of this is, uh, research shows that naming your emotions activates the logical part of your brain and calms your nervous system. So it may be, for example, I'm feeling overwhelmed because I have this, this, and this to do. And just the process of actually naming your emotion can definitely help in a lot of different ways. So really great share. We have one more. We have one more, uh, life hack here, and it's the future self filter. So before making a decision ask, what would the version of me five years from now thank me for? This creates distance from impulsive decisions and aligns you with long term vision. So I know, uh, I, I have shared different, uh, I guess different versions of this specific life hack, and many of you have heard me talk about the 10, 10, 10 rule where you ask yourself, okay, um, how would I feel about this? Or, um, what, what would I feel about, or how would I feel about this decision in 10 minutes? In 10 hours in 10 days in 10 years? And it's basically kind of. Forecasting the way you would perceive something or, or the way you, you feel like it would have any, uh, consequences on, on your life. So a really great exercise and this, this specific exercise is, uh, really asking you what version of you, five years from now, um, you know, what would it thank you for. So, I know this is a exercise that I do. I do a very similar exercise. Typically in the evenings, I'll ask myself, okay, what did I do today that my future self would thank me for? And take some time to reflect on that. Think about this past week, for example. What did you do this past week that your future self would thank you for? Whether it's 10 months or 10 years, or five days or whatever. But what did you do physically? What did you do emotionally? What did you do spiritually? What did you do in terms of advancing your purpose or what you're called to do? And, uh, when you reflect on it, it it, it does bring a lot of fulfillment if you're productive throughout the course of the week. So, um, really great exercise to reflect on. So, um, let us know what city you are tuning in from, by the way. I know, um, I see we got Memphis, Tennessee in the house. We got New York in the house, we got Texas, we have Georgia. We have the DMV drop, a comment. Let us know what city you are tuning in from and shout out to everybody who's watching, um, all over the internet. I know we have people on LinkedIn, people on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, uh, who are tuning in. Uh, so shout out to everybody on all of the social media platforms, however you tune in every single week. So we have a few more fun facts. The very first one is the brain can process images 60 times faster than text. That's why vision boards and visualization exercises. Actually work. So, uh, thinking in terms of pictures definitely goes a long way. And, uh, if you've never created a vision board, I would, I would highly recommend giving it a shot because, uh, vision boards can be a lot of fun, great exercise to do, and it kind of keeps your, your visions or whatever it is that you wanna bring into fruition in your life. It keeps it at the forefront of your mind every single day. Sometimes we get consumed with just different aspects of life, whether it's parenthood or being in a relationship or just work obligations, and we tend to put those dreams on the back burner. But when you have that vision board that is somewhere that's visible and, and you can notice it every single day, it keeps it fresh at the forefront of your mind. So see, we have people tuning in from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and, uh, shout out to everybody tuning in. I always, I always show love to people tuning in live. From the west coast because you guys are hopping on at 4:00 AM. So, uh, much more of a commitment, I guess, unless you work the, the night shift it would be a little different. But for those of you who actually wake up, uh, at four in the morning, and we do have a a, a lot of people who do, uh, we definitely appreciate it. Uh, so next up we have another fun fact, which is, uh, bees can recognize human faces just like us. They process visual patterns, proof that even tiny creatures have memory and learning ability. A great metaphor for consistency. Even the smallest acts make an impact. Okay, so really interesting fun fact there. And last but not least, the last fun fact is most people have about 6,000, uh, or up to 60,000 thoughts per day. But research says 80% of those thoughts are negative and repetitive. So you're not just thinking you are looping, then it's time to interrupt the loop with intention. So, uh, we always talk about just how you go about your thoughts on a day-to-day basis. And it is important to be mindful of what it is that you're putting into your mind. Um, as you oftentimes hear me say garbage in, garbage out, greatness and greatness out. And, uh, I remember learning years ago when I first started my personal development journey, um, the importance of just being very mindful of the news you even consume. Because news can, uh, you know, it can consume your mind. And, and let's be honest, uh, a lot of content media companies have always known this. Um, a lot of content that you consume oftentimes is negative because it triggers fear and it it actually draws you in and, and you are drawn in to consume the content because it's triggering this emotion. You wanna be aware, you wanna know what's going on. And it wasn't until, um, some really successful mentor of my mine's, uh, um, a few mentors of mine, they had mentioned how, uh, they had gone years and years of not consuming any news. And I remember hearing that for the first time, like. It was just so mind boggling to me that there are people out there that never really consume, uh, news, at least local news, right? With all the craziness happening locally. Now, if you're in business for yourself, it can be very helpful keeping up with the, with the global news or global politics and things like that. But, uh, when it comes to just like a lot of the negative news that's put out there, um, it will have an effect on the quality of your thinking or just the way that you feel throughout the day. You can take on a doom and gloom mental model of the world if you're not mindful of what it is that you're consuming. So, super important to understand. All right, we have some more personal development shares before we jump into the meat and potatoes of today's Breakfast Club session. So welcome, welcome, everyone. Alright, uh, here we go. Next up we have what creates mastery. I. Invariably, masters are simply those who have more references than the rest of us about what leads to success or frustration in a given area. Each day presents another opportunity to take in new references that can help us bolster our beliefs, refine our values, ask new questions, and access the states that propel us in the direction we desire. So it's, uh, it's, it's, you know, interesting. I, I love talking about mastery in particular. And, uh, one of the, uh, studies that I, that I love is this, the studies, uh, censored around people who've mastered a specific craft. And the, the studies of like the 10,000 hour rule. Whereas, um, if you dedicate, let's just say seven to 10 years of your life to a specific craft or a specific profession, or just anything that you're, you're pursuing, uh, typically it takes about 10,000 hours or seven to 10 years of consistent deliberate practice before you finally get to the point where you master something. And you know, it's interesting because today I'll have people, oftentimes they'll come to see me speak live in person, and, um, I'll get a lot of compliments just on, on my, my public speaking skills. And a lot of people don't realize that, uh, for 10 years I was a part of a speaking association, Toastmasters International and I spoke competitively. And every single week you worked on different aspects of your speech. And it, it wasn't like coincidence, it wasn't something that I just was gifted with, per se, even the Breakfast Club. Me talking to you guys for up to two hours every single week doing it for years upon years, when you think about it, that's a lot of hours of practice. And I, I remember I always shared that I had a friend of mine, uh, who came to visit and he, he just was mind blown at the fact that I can sit in front of a camera and nobody is around listening and talk for up to two hours about random things. And, uh, you know, I had to explain to him that I had, I had so much practice because the Breakfast Club initially was in person and it was every day. It wasn't once a week. It was up to six days a week that we would have the Breakfast Club in person. And that's really what built the muscle of speaking for, for so long, you know, and consistently so, um, you know, whatever it is that you wanna master, keep in mind that you have to get your 10,000 hours in. And the people that you're competing with in the marketplace, um, whatever it is. If you're in sports or you're in content creation or anything like that, uh, there are people out there that are putting in a lot of work. And you have to genuinely ask yourself like, are you putting in the sweat equity necessary? Are you putting in your 10,000 hours to be amongst the top 1% in whatever it is that you're doing? Uh, really, really important to understand because I don't think a lot of people realize the amount of time and effort it actually takes to be a master at something. So the last share that we have here is you can immediately make global changes that simultaneously affect how you think, feel, and act in multiple areas of your life. How simply by shifting any one of the five elements of your master system, for example, rather than just con conditioning yourself to feel differently about rejection, you could adopt a new global belief such as I am the source of all of my emotions. Nothing. And no one can change how I feel except me. If I find myself in a reaction to anything, I can change it in a moment. If you were fervently to embrace this belief, could you see how it would eliminate not only your fear of rejection, but also your feelings of anger or frustration or inadequacy? Suddenly you become the master of your fate and really great share. And uh, you know, it's interesting. Uh, the other day I was, I was reading something on, uh, just the idea of, of rejection and the idea of going through. Let's just say judgment, right? And the, the material that I was reading, basically in a nutshell, it was, it was saying how people are so consumed with their own lives, like so caught up in their own lives. We think we tend to think that people are thinking about us all day long. And the reality is like if you do something that's embarrassing, if you do something that you're like, man, I can't believe I did that, and you're feeling a little bit, um, you know, embarrassed by it or you, you're feeling off by understand that the vast majority of the world are so caught up in their own lives. They're not, you know, taking all of this time to just think about you all day long. I can assure you that you are not at the forefront of people's minds. And we tend to think that, right? Uh, we tend to, to think that it's called the spotlight effect in psychology, where let, let's just say you do something that's embarrassing or you go on stage and you bomb on stage and you completely ruin your, your speech. And it, it almost feels as if this big spotlight is pointed at us and the world is able to see what, what we did, or the mistake that we made. Listen, most people. They don't give a damn like about what's going on in your life. It's onto the next. When you think about even with, with content creation, for example, most people now are just scrolling through social media doom scrolling, and you'd be lucky to get more than 10 seconds out of someone's attention. And I know I follow all of the analytics on my content. People are not as interested as you think. Um, and it's always onto the next. You think about this, think about when people pass away, for example, and you'll have a celebrity, um, you know, that people are talking about, like, you know, maybe they're expressing their sentiments about someone passing away, but literally after just a few short days, and this could have been an A-list celebrity, but after just a few short days, people are onto the next thing. You can have things go viral or break the internet. Within a few short days, people are on to the next thing. There are so many companies, so many people out there trying to grab your attention because we are in an attention economy. Attention is the new currency. So you, you have to be mindful of this, especially when you're so consumed about what other people are thinking about you. The reality is they're probably not thinking about you as much as you think they are. And even if they are, it's not going to last very long. So learn to acknowledge the fact that, hey, you're going to do things that you're not always so proud of, or, uh, you're going to make mistakes along the way, or you're going to have those embarrassing moments, but people will probably notice in the moment and then they're on to the next thing. And, uh, it's important to just bounce back and not get so consumed about what other people are thinking about you. This will liberate you because think about this, most of the time, people don't accomplish what it is that they want in life. Not because they don't have the ability to, but it's simply because they're having paralysis of overanalysis. I work with so many clients that they, they get so consumed about what other people are going to think and they never put out the work. And the, the reality of most people who are great, you know, it's the saying that you don't have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great. Most people who are known for their incredible work, their work did not start out so incredible. Right? It's like if you, if you watch Mozart for example, at Mozart was like the quote unquote child prodigy, but most of Mozart's work didn't really happen till after 10 plus years of him refining his craft. If you looked at Mozart's work when he first got started, you would not be so impressed. So this is, this is the case for most people. You have to, uh, you have to put out the work. Like, when I first started the Breakfast Club, it was super scrappy. I was way more scrappy than I, than I am today. And, um, you know, there's a saying in entrepreneurship, like, if you're not embarrassed by your first work that you've put out, then you haven't grown enough. Like you're gonna be drastically better, um, just as a result of starting and deliberately putting in the, the time necessary to refine whatever it is that you're working on. Okay, so before we jump into today's topic, I'm gonna just share this, define outcomes before you act. So a really great, uh, hack for you guys is, uh, from today's schedule. Pick one personal item and one work item and write your end in mind for each one. So maybe your personal item is you going to the gym. The end in mind is you burning a certain amount of calories, or maybe it's leg day and you getting a leg workout in, right? Then you can think of a work item. So maybe your work item might be reaching out to 10 prospects for the day, or writing those 10 pages or the content creation you have to create. But write down one. Um, write down both and write down the end in mind for both. Clarity of intention is power, and we have to be more crystal clear about what it is that we have to do for the day and the outcome that we're looking to produce. Now ask yourself, how are my outcomes different? When I begin with a clear end in mind, all things are created twice. A mental creation and a physical creation. Before you act, start with a clear idea of what you want to achieve. It is, and here's a really great quote by Stephen Covey. It's a, it's incredibly easy to work harder and harder at climbing the ladder of success only to discover that it's leaning against the wrong wall. How many of us can relate to that? You probably put all of this effort right, and all of this, this, this time, and you, you're climbing up this ladder of success to then get to the top and realize that your ladder was leaning against the wrong building. Could you imagine going through the process of climbing up this ladder of success and you're wasting all of this time and energy and attention? Meanwhile, you could have been very intentional about your specific outcomes and making sure before you even climb that ladder, I. That you know exactly what that ladder is leaning up against. Okay? So really great shares, and once again, uh, drop a light comment, share, tag someone who can get value. If you're hopping on and you're watching live right now, drop an L in the comments and, uh, hop over to the Journey podcast. Leave a review. It's greatly appreciated. That's one of the best ways you can thank me. Of course. And, um, I'm excited because, um, uh, getting ready to release this YouTube masterclass. I've been working behind the scenes on refining it, um, teaching people how they can, uh, monetize on YouTube, how they can, you know, whatever, whatever industry they're in, whatever line of work they're in, whatever they're passionate about, but how you can essentially turn your passion into profit, uh, via YouTube. And YouTube is here to stay, as you guys know. And most kids these days, you ask them what they want to be when they grow up. You'd be amazed at how many say. Not ball player or rapper or dancer or singer or actor. They're, they, they wanna be YouTubers, right? Um, and YouTube is here to stay. Uh, and this is, this is, uh, something that I think a lot of people just have no clue, like where to start. Uh, when you think about it, how many of the people that you know in your life have YouTube channels? Right? And I'm a firm believer that no matter what you do, um, in this world, if, if you're an entrepreneur or you're an aspiring entrepreneur, understand that you're also a media outlet. You are a media platform, and you're essentially doing marketing, right? Um, in order to thrive with whatever it is that you do. Like, some people don't realize the power of, of social media and the fact that. You know, today it's a blessing to be able to have free advertising in a sense, right? Like social media will push out your content and at any point in time you are either building your brand or sabotaging it or just I. Not existent at all on the internet, and there's power in it. And it's not that all of you have to, uh, you know, be on social media, but if you're an entrepreneur, you should definitely be considering it. And the best time to have start, you started your brand literally was over 10 years ago. The second best time is right now. And, uh, don't wait until, you know, five years out, 10 years out when you have it all together. My recommendation, uh, for those of you who are aspiring entrepreneurs or you want the ability to be able to, um, earn an income online, uh, the beautiful thing about, you know, the internet these days is there's so many ways that you can, uh, generate revenue for yourself no matter what it is that you do. Um, it's a blessing to be able to live, for example, in any city. Like, you know, these days we, we live in Tampa, right? And I. Had no type of connection per se, to Tampa. Had some friends, um, you know, a few years ago, uh, that I, I, and business partners that I would come out, um, you know, to visit. But, you know, when I was younger, I had no connection whatsoever to Tampa. I would've never in a million years thought that I would be living here. But, uh, when you are able to earn income online, right, you can live anywhere in the world. And, um, I would recommend even if you don't really know, you know, what you wanna do business-wise, uh, just getting consistent with content creation, putting in your 10,000 hours because it will most certainly come in handy down the road when you wanna venture off into new things. Understand that your digital blueprint, your social media, all of these things, uh, this is your modern day resume. When companies look you up these days, like anybody can submit a resume, anybody can dress up a resume. But what, what do you think most companies are doing these days to kind of vet the people that they're bringing into their company? A lot of the times they're gonna look you up online, right? So always be mindful of that. Your brand, uh, can really, really help you and elevate you, um, far greater than a piece of paper can, um, uh, in, in many occasions. So, um, I, I always suggest, you know, people within our community, if you don't know where to start online with building your brand or how to go about, you know, monetizing social media, all of that stuff hit me up. You could always DM me. I'm very responsive in my, in my, uh, messages and I'm always here to just serve the community. However I can add value because I know there's a lot of people looking to get to the next level. You may have not found your thing or you may just be overwhelmed with, where do I start? It seems like so much, and there are so much technology these days to make the process simpler. Um, these, these days, for example, I integrate AI technology to, to make the process of content creation a lot easier for me across many, many different platforms. So I just wanted to throw that out there. Um, I'll share my Calendly link with you guys as well. Uh, for those of you who want to, uh, book some time, uh, I, I typically open up a few slots every single, uh, week for some, uh, complimentary coaching sessions. So, uh, you're more than welcome to book that, uh, if you guys would like. So, uh, moving forward, before we jump in, shout out to everybody tuning in. We got Port St. Lucie, we got Jamaica. Shout out to everybody tuning in from the Caribbean. I know we have our community from The Bahamas as well. I see we have Brooklyn, New York. Uh, shout out to everybody tuning in, uh, all over the world. Appreciate you guys and, uh, let's jump into it. We have some really great shares. So, uh, today we're going to be talking about the hidden cost of not going all in. You see, too many people are stuck living life with one foot in and one foot out, hoping for massive success while still playing it safe. What if I told you that hesitation, indecision, and kind of trying are actually the most expensive choices that you can make? This episode is going to break down what it truly consists when you don't fully commit in business and relationships and in your personal growth. So, uh, we're gonna be keeping it real. Uh, I'm gonna be talking a lot about, um, what it looks like to go all in. And if you're tired of dabbling and you're ready to, you know, pretty much discover what life looks like on the other side of full commitment, stay locked in and stay on for the entire thing because, uh, we're gonna jump into a lot of these concepts. So here we go. Uh, take notes. By the way, uh, we're a note taking community as I, my church always says that as well. Um, and there's power in taking notes because you're gonna retain a lot of the information, uh, so much more if you're taking notes. Uh, so number one. Uh, when it comes to going all in, you have to, uh, set the stage and understand that, uh, the illusion of playing it safe. So playing it safe is an all an illusion. You know, oftentimes we tend to think that if we work the secure job and we have the benefits and the pension and all this stuff, um, I, I had heard a mentor of mine once say that a salary is what they give you to forget your dreams. And, uh, I would go as far as to say like even benefits and a pension and all that. There's so many people that never take that great leap of faith forward simply because they're clinging to their benefits. They're clinging to their 401k, and it's almost like. A lot of corporations will, will use this as a trap to ensure or to make sure that you don't go elsewhere, right? They're like, oh, well you're vested. You know, you're already in so deep, or you've already put so much time or so much, you know, money into your 401k and it's a way to keep you basically locked in. And it's not that these are bad things, but you have to be mindful that when, when you wanna go all in on your dream, these are things that will essentially hold you back. You know, I remember I was super fearful of losing my benefits when I first, uh, you know, retired from the workforce and uh, that was one of my big hurdles. Just getting over the idea.'cause I had been taught, uh, from the time that I was a child, you wanna get a job with benefits, you wanna get the, you know, you wanna get a 401k, you wanna get the health benefits, you know, get the job with the, like, everybody praise city jobs. For example, if you lived in New York, there's a lot of praise around getting a city job because of the benefits. And you'd be amazed at how many people never go and pursue their dreams simply because of those benefits. So, something to think about right now. Um, there is a mindset of hesitation. The, the process of hesitation. How many of you get caught up in paralysis of over analysis? If you've ever encountered, let's just say, getting caught up in your, in your mind with hesitation. Drop a one in the comments if you've gone through this. I know I have. I've had plenty of moments where I just hesitated moving forward because I'm all up in my mind. I'm thinking about what can possibly go wrong as opposed to focusing on what can go right. Can any of you relate to that, where you're thinking about all the potential pitfalls and dangers and you know all the things that can go wrong and not enough time on what can go right? And the issue with this is that what you focus on ultimately expands what you focus on the longest grows the strongest in your life. We hear this all the time in the world of personal development, and you have to be very intentional about putting your focus on what, what is the outcome you are looking for? What if it does work? And for those of you who are even going through a storm, how many of us have a tendency of going through life's challenges and just focusing on all of the different fires that we have to put out? We're focusing on all of the negative aspects of our life. It's like even being in a relationship so easy to. Think about everything that's wrong with your partner or that you feel that you're not satisfied with, but how many times do we actually sit there to reflect on all the things that we love about our partner? You see, the human brain is not necessarily designed to keep you happy. The human brain is designed to keep you alive. And in order for you to stay alive, it has to always identify all of the potential dangers. That's just the way it works. So we have this very outdated system or software in our brain. And if you're not aware, right, you can live a life where your mindset is a mindset of hesitation because you're always consumed by what can go wrong or what's not working, and you end up getting caught up in, again, paralysis of over analysis. So I remember when I. When I first was just kind of contemplating on whether or not I should retire from the workforce, and I was just sort of battling with this, and I remember being miserable at work. I, I, I read through my, uh, journal entries, for example, from time to time, every once in a while I, I'll go through my journal entries from those years. And I remember the scribing working, you know, a in, in a job where I didn't wanna be there. And I, I remember feeling like a caged animal and having all this potential, but not really being able to unleash my potential into the world and seeing other people out there that were pursuing their dreams that were going for it. And I just wanted a, a shot at just going all in. And I remember setting myself up for an entire year to go all in on my dreams, right? And, um, I was just kind of holding off and holding off and holding off. And eventually I just went all in and it was the best decision that I ever made. You know, there are stories of these, these great warriors, right? Um, who would burn the boats? You know, I think, uh, if I'm not mistaken, the, there was a conquistador, uh, by the name of Cortez and, uh, his, his men were essentially, you know, at the brink of like starving. And they, they landed on an island at one point in time, and you guys can look up just type in or Google burn, you know, burning the boats. The story behind it, and the legend is, you know, this, this great leader, you know, gets to the island and all of his men are on the island. And, and they were going to, you know, search for any treasure and search for, um, just different things that they can have to survive, whether it's food or all of these different things. And he understood that, uh, they were outnumbered. There was no way that they were gonna be able to, you know, conquer this, this new territory unless he burned all the boats. And apparently the legend is, uh, Cortez burned, uh, you know, all of the boats in the fleet. And I don't know if it's, there's, you know, a hundred percent truth to the story, but it's a great metaphor for life, right? Because sometimes when you wanna go all in, you have to eliminate your safety net. You have to eliminate any possibility of retreat, any possibility of surrender. Now, is this always the case? Definitely not. Sometimes you have to make calculated risk, especially if there are people who are banking on you. But there's a power in burning the boats and not having any other options and going all in on your dreams and having this mindset where it's either we are going to win or we're going to die trying. Right. And, uh, there's, there's, there's a power in that. And I've seen people throughout the course of my, my journey, you know, just studying a lot of people, interviewing a lot of people, and, and seeing how this process of going all in, uh, really alters their, their, their results. And it's like, you have zero doubt at that point because it's like you have to, it's, it's the idea of sink or swim. You have to figure it out. So there is no retreat. And, uh, there, there are gonna be moments throughout your journey where you have to decipher whether or not you have to burn all the boats in order to take action, or whether or not those boats are creating this safety net that's preventing you from really taking all out massive action. Okay, so here's a really great quote. The biggest risk is not that you fail, but that you never try. It's the bi biggest risk of of all because think about what's the alternative if you don't try. And I remember a mentor of mine giving me some re some really great advice on this because the alternative is you live a life of reg regret and you have this one precious life and you don't go all in on your dreams and you live a life of regret. You get to the very end. And if you ask any dying person, you know, what is it that re they regret? There are actually studies on this. You know, you look up the five regrets of the dying. If you, if you look it up online, you'll find this amazing study. And one of the commonalities across the board for people who are on their deathbed is they typically don't regret what they did. They regret what they didn't do right. And I don't know about y'all, but I most certainly don't want to be at the tail end of my life having any regrets for the things that I didn't try. I remember a mentor of mine giving me some really great advice when I was on the brink of going all in, and he basically said that, you know, Josh, here's the thing. You, you're young, right? You're either gonna win or you're gonna learn. He says, no matter what happens though, you won't lose because even if it doesn't go as expected, then it was one of the greatest learning lessons of my life, and at least I have the dignity of saying that I tried that. I gave it a shot. And wouldn't you rather that, like even if you have to go back to a job, even if you have to go back to what you were doing, but you have the dignity of saying that I at least tried. Now, of course there are different circumstances, different scenarios for different people. So you may have dependents who are relying on you, and you have to be very calculated with how you move. But my suggestion, especially for those of you who are young, uh, for those of you who, let's just say you don't have any dependents, this is definitely the best time to go all in. For those of you who are, who have children, you have families, you have people who are depending on you, even financially. Here's the thing, don't allow that to be an excuse. Allow that to fuel you. Allow that to motivate you because if you truly wanna help your family or friends or whoever's dependent upon you, then you're gonna do everything in your power to, to make your dreams a reality so that you can provide for them at an even higher level. Okay? So number two. The hidden costs people don't talk about. So, uh, let's, let's talk about it because this is, I, I found this section to be really valuable. Um, the first thing is emotional cost of not going all in. So the emotional costs are the feelings of anxiety, second guessing, feeling stuck because you're not all in, you're just there in your mind. You're caught up in what you should be doing. And the thing about not going after your dreams is this. You don't, you don't get away scot free. You don't, you don't get to coast through life and think that you are going to get away with not pursuing your dreams. It will haunt you. It will be like a splinter in your mind and every day of your life, those that, that, that dream. Or, or you not going after that dream, it will haunt you. You know, I always talk about in the ancient times, the ancients believed, uh, that in the idea of, uh, the Damon, right? And there there's a, there's a legend that the word demon came from the word Damon. And Damon, the ancient, I believe it was the ancient Greeks, if I'm not mistaken, but they believe that the Damon is what you are here to do with your life. Your Damon is what, let's say being an entertainer is for a Kim Kardashian, or being an actor is for a Denzel Washington, uh, Washington, or being a basketball player is for a Larry Bird or a Michael Jordan. That was their Damon. And, and the ancients believe that every single person has a Damon and they believe that this spirit, if you will, walks with you throughout the course of your life. And the legend is that they believe that if you do not pursue or fulfill your Damon, then it will turn on you and it will become a demon in your life and it will haunt you for the rest of your life. And it's a, even if that's not the case, right? But just think about it as a metaphor. Think about, think about the truth in that, the idea that your dreams will haunt you if you do not bring them into fruition, or you do not do something to actively, uh, bring it to life. And it will be at the forefront of your mind. You don't get to coast through life, not going after what you were born to do. So it is important, um, to, to go after what you, what, what's your dream, what's in your heart, because again, there's an emotional cost to it. Another thing is the financial cost. So the financial cost can be missed opportunity. The late income, a low return on investment on half efforts as well. It's like oftentimes when I'm talking to people about the benefits of coaching, for example, of, of hiring a coach, the benefits are very clear. You're collapsing timeframes, you're shortening the learning curve rather than your 10,000 hours, right? Or seven to 10 years. Imagine if you have deliberate intentional practice with someone who's an expert, who can tell you what to avoid, what not to do, the fastest way to get to where you wanna be. And there's a concept in the world of personal development referred to as modeling and, and basically the premise is, if you want to become successful, just model the behavior of those who have what it is that you want. So for example, if you wanna be a pro golfer, model a tiger Woods, what did he do to become exceptional? If you want to be, let's just say a, um, successful entrepreneur, what are the successful entrepreneurs doing? How can you model what it is that they do? So if, for example, you are not all in, you are prolonging the process, you are prolonging the suffering, you are, you are losing money by not being all in. You understand? It's, it, it, it's interesting because I, I've been sharing this a lot. When, when we launched our new company, um, in the travel and lifestyle space back in October, uh, my wife and I, we went all in for 90 days because we understood that there was a power in going all in. And we understood that being all in and a hundred percent in something is not necessarily su sustainable. Like, you're not gonna be at a hundred percent your entire career. When you have it in you to go all in on something and the time is right because sometimes it's just a matter of timing and you have to identify when it's the right time. Like right now, there's so many amazing things happening in the world. There's so many technological advancements with artificial intelligence and social media and all of these different things, and you waiting on it like you're losing money by not going all in a lot sooner. Okay, so there's a financial cost. Next is there's a relational cost. People can feel your lack of commitment, your significant other can feel your lack of commitment. Your children can feel your lack of commitment. Your peers, your friends. They feel your lack of commitment. You're, you're essentially creating a reputation for yourself as someone who's just kind of coasting through life and not all in on their dreams. It's, it's liberating. It's, it's, it's so refreshing to be around people who are doing what they were born to do. You ever see like an entertainer or you see people who are thriving and all in on what it is that they were born to do is so beautiful to witness when seeing people live in their gifts. How many of you have had children and you see your children thriving in whatever it is that they're, that, you know, they, they're gifted in or whatever their talent is, is so incredible to see. And we tend to stop dreaming. We, we, we tend to lose our childlike nature as we go through life. And my encouragement to you all is bring that spark back to life. Get back, reengaged with your dreams, get back recommitted. Start to dream again. Get back to creating the vision board. Get back to writing down the your goals. Get back to listening to the podcast, the audio books, tuning into the personal development. Start investing, watering, watering those dreams, right? And when I say watering them, like nurture the dream. Give life to the dream. And maybe the way you do that is by learning a little bit more. Maybe the way you do that is by taking one small action. Maybe the way you do that is starting the process of working on your brand or getting back to doing what it is that you were doing that was getting the results in the past. Okay, next up is the spiritual cost. The spiritual cost. So there's uh, uh, a term referred to as soul fatigue. Some of you're like, that doesn't make any sense. Soul fatigue. Have any of you ever been in a season of your life where you are just tired? But it, it's not like a, it's not like a body tired. It's like your soul is tired. Drop a, drop a one in the comments. If you've ever had a season of your life where your soul felt tired, and here's what I know. When you are truly in alignment with your purpose, your purpose, your soul's mission will fuel you. You'll have this life force that that is generated that will give you the motivation and inspiration. Because the word inspired comes from the term in spirit. It is from source. When you are inspired, your soul is, is, is filled, and the cost that you have to pay when, when you are not pursuing your life's mission. That it will lead to soul fatigue. You'll have a part of you that is just apathetic and is struggling with getting to the next level, and you have no idea what it is. You think it's your diet. You think it's lack of exercise, but really it's just not having your life force not being in alignment. Okay? And another thing is just being disconnected from purpose. Where you feel as if you are just existing in this world, you are no longer truly living. You are just existing. And how many people do we know honestly, that are going through life existing? It's one of the worst feelings when when you're just going with emotions, you have this one precious gift of life that God blessed you with, and you have such limited time. When you think of the grand scheme of things like how finite this time here on Earth is. You have an opportunity, right? Depending on your beliefs, right? Most of us believe that we're going somewhere after, right? But one thing that we do know is we have this precious life. It's an incontrovertible fact that you have this precious life. And you know, behind me, I have this hourglass. And it's interesting because the way life works is imagine if I covered the very top of the hourglass. You had no idea how much spend is left. And the thing about it is imagine your life and envision it like an hourglass. And if you're looking at the hourglass, but you can't see the top of the hourglass, think about how much more urgency you would have in this life, not knowing how much sand is left, because that's the reality. That's, that's the one incontrovertible fact is none of us truly know how much time we have left. Some of us may be another 30, 40, 50 years. Some of us it may be three, four or five years. Some of us it, it can be three, four, or five months. You just never know. So if you constantly have at the forefront of your mind that your time is limited and you have this, this, this time hourglass if you will, but you don't really know how much time is left, but you know that sand is pouring out and at some point in time you will have exhausted all of your time. Don't get to the very end with regrets. Don't get to the very end thinking to yourself like, man, all I did was exist in this lifetime. Okay. So if you guys are getting value so far, drop a V in the comments for value. Just wanna make sure you're still with me getting value. Awesome. Awesome. Thank you. Thank you. Appreciate that. Next up we have, um. My story in particular, going all in. And I wanna kind of give you guys, uh, some inspiration different moments in, in my life when I went all in and, and just what that was like. So the first time I can remember going all in on something. I remember when I, when I moved out the hood and I was the first person in my family to go off to college, and I remember I had a, a vehicle and, um, I was driving around like literally a legal insurance. I, I didn't even have proper insurance or anything like that on this Nissan Altima, 97 Nissan Altima that I had. And I remember for the first time in my life, I wanted to just be legit. With everything that I did, I wanted to build up my credit, I wanted to create a bank account for myself. I wanted to do things right. And I remember leaving that damn Nissan Altima right in my neighborhood and just leaving it parked up there. And I was just like, whatever happens to this happens. And I remember coming back after like many, many, many weeks and just seeing tickets all over this thing. And I was just like, man, let them tow this. I don't want anything to do with this car. And I remember when I left the hood and I had two big duffel bags. I was on the BX 40 bus on my way to Throgs neck and uh, and I went to a military college and I left home with everything that I owned. And I knew without a shadow of a doubt, I was not going back. I had burned all options. I had burned all the boats. Like many people don't know this. When I went off to college, like I never went, I never had a home to go back to my, my, my, my stepfather, my mom, they had, you know, basically split up and my family was just all broken apart and there was no, was no going back to anything. So for me it was sink or swim. I had to figure things out and I would go on these summer sea terms where I'd go, I'd sail on a training ship. I was working on my Coast Guard license and I'd sail all around the world on this training ship. And then in the summers, I'd even work on campus. I'd take on summer jobs just to be able to keep myself busy or I'd work for a company working on boats, um, in the summers. Like just to be able to feel the time I always had somewhere to stay. Um, and I intentionally moved like that because there was no alternative of going back for me. I had burned all the boats and I had to figure it out. So while a lot of kids who their education was being paid for, you know, I had like three different jobs and I was like cutting hair out of my dorm room. You know, I, I, I ran a barbershop out of my dorm room to put myself through school. And, um, I, I did this because I had to, I did this because I had to survive. I did this because there was no going back. Most of the kids I went to school with came from upper middle class households. They had that safety net. Um, for me, I wasn't playing no games. Like I, oh, I had good grades in, in college. I had one really bad semester. I remember I failed calculus. It was the only class that I had ever failed. And I remember getting a letter from the college like, Hey, if you don't get your grades, you know, together, you can't stay here. And I, I, I remember that was the all I needed. Like, ain't no way I'm getting kicked out of this school and I have nowhere to go. I had to figure it out and I went all in. And because I went all in, like I was very deliberate with the way I went about my academic journey. My, you know, I played football in college, all of that, and I was just really focused, right? And that was kind of a subtle, um, experience I would say of, of going all in and not having any al alternatives. Then years later I was working my six figure career, and as I was working my six figure career, it was now time for me to decide if I was gonna go all in in entrepreneurship because I was like one foot in, one foot out. I wasn't all in. I wasn't really living up to my potential for what I could do with entrepreneurship. So I understood that I had to take that great leap of faith, and many of you have heard me share this, so I remember the day that I decided not to go back to work. I. I actually decided like, it, it was on my mind. I was talking to a lot of people about it. I was talking to like mentors about it. I would talk to my wife about it. Um, at the time, I don't even think my wife and I were officially married. Um, I know we got engaged, I think, if I'm not mistaken, right around 24 years old, and then we got like married six months later and then had a kid within that year or whatever. But, um, I say all that to say, I remember my wife being very encouraging. She was just like, like, go for it, right? Like, just, just go for it. And, and she had that belief, but I still hadn't build up that belief in myself. And I remember there was a moment where I had to go back to work. And keep in mind my job was not going and driving through traffic every day. No, I had to leave for weeks on end. Like there was no coming back home every day. So here I was. Just wrestling with this idea, like having fear, having doubt, having uncertainty on, you know, whether or not I should go back to work. And I remember in that moment a good friend of mine that I was with, he was also in business with me. He shares this video and it was a Steve Harvey jump video. You guys can look it up. He actually wrote a book after it, and he talks about how people, when they're going after their dreams, what tends to happen is you get to this cliff and you get to the edge of this cliff. And on the edge of this cliff you can see a bunch of people soaring through the sky. A bunch of people who had took a leap of faith off this same cliff that you were on. And they're so, they're soaring into the horizon, right? And they're, they're living up to their potential. They went after their dreams. You can see all of these people and think about that in your life. Like you see people out there who are doing great things with their lives, who, who are living up to their potential, who are going after their dreams, and you see them soaring. And here you are at the cliff and you have this parachute on, and you know that in order for you to all also, you know, soar and, and, and soar into the horizon and, and what's possible for your life, you also have to take that great leap of faith. But you're fearful. And I remember what Steve Harvey said that was so profound. He says, everybody at some point in time who's going to live out their purpose has to take that great leap. And he says, this is what will happen when you first jump. You're probably going to go straight down and there are gonna be a lot of bumps and bruises down this cliff. You're gonna get all scraped up and beat up on the way down. And you release that parachute and you're like, you know, bumping up against the cliff and everything, and maybe there's trees poking out of the cliff and, and, and you're getting all beat up. And he says, what happens is eventually your parachute must open. And he says, you'll find yourself storing through the sky. And the idea that really hit home for me was I'm going to go through some stuff. I'm not exempt from going through all of my war wounds, if you will. I'm not exempt from going through all of those struggles and obstacles, but at some point in time, my parachute will open and I will find myself amongst the heroes. I will find myself amongst the greats. I will find myself amongst the dreamers, the doers, the people who went and took that great leap of faith. Then I will be a great inspiration for those who are looking at the cliff from the cliff. Right. And after watching that video, do you believe that I made the decision right then and there that I wasn't going back to work and I took that great leap of faith. And here's the thing, I had a plan, so let's not get it twisted. I did not necessarily just burn the boats and had no alternatives. So I wanna make that clear because I don't wanna set no unrealistic expectation. Um, I had intentionally had been planning this exit strategy. I just didn't have the courage to pull the trigger until that that video was confirmation. And I said, you know what? Let's do it. And that was all I needed. It was almost like a divine intervention, like God was sending me this divine intervention in that moment because he knew that if I watched that video, that was all I was going to need in order to finally pull the trigger on making things happen. I don't know what it is for you. Maybe it was hopping on today's breakfast club. Maybe it's going to be some synchronicity or, or some, some sign that you come across, maybe some word of encouragement and you're like, you know what? Let me take a chance on this. And I can't tell you the amount of times in my life where I look for the signs and then I get the sign and I'm like, okay, let's just go all in. Very worst case scenario is I'm not going to die. I will be okay. And sometimes it does help when you're going all in to think of the very worst case scenario, because our nervous system is processing the way you perceive the, the, the dangers and the risk. It's almost as if your nervous system's like, oh no, this can lead to death. And, and that's why you're having so much anxiety, right? Because you're, you're fearful of all of the dangers. But if you take time to calm your nervous system. Say, all right, what are we really talking about here? Worst case scenario, all right, I go in some debt. Worst case scenario, I have to go back to a job. Worst case scenario, I have to move in with my in-laws, whatever, right? But it's not going to lead to you not being here on this earth. Worst case scenario, it'll make for an incredible story. But I want to definitely encourage a lot of you to not just dwell in the worst case scenario, but also put a lot of your focus into the best case scenario. Well, what if it does work? What is possible? What, what, what? What can happen? What could be some of the blessings that come from this? And what if the best case scenario is you do thrive and you do take your financial life to the next level? Or you do live a life of fulfillment, of meaning of joy? I would've never in a million years thought that I would be here today, for example. That one leap of faith led to the work that I do today in podcasting with the Breakfast Club community, with, with everything that I have going on, right? All of the businesses that I run, it would not have happened if I, if I did not take that great leap of faith. Years later, I had launched other businesses that I went all in. And again, it's the idea of going all in and playing full out. How does a rocket ship take off from that platform? How does a rocket ship, you know, essentially, uh, leave the Earth's atmosphere and break free of that gravitational pool? It's full throttle. It's not 10%, it's not 50%, it's not 90%. It is full throttle takeoff. And perhaps what's preventing you from really getting to where you wanna be is just going full throttle and stop dabbling. Stop giving it 10%, 20%, 50%, and just go all in for a season. Next up. Um, and, uh, one thing that I, I, I wanted to share is how it actually felt before versus the feeling after of going all in. Right. So when I launched, um, our, our newest company, uh, back in October, one thing that I can tell you is that right before that I was like kind of dabbling right? With, with a similar business and not really playing full out. And the dignity that my wife and I got from going all in and giving it a hundred percent, and our kids seeing that, our community seeing that to see these parents that homeschool their kids. Outperforming people who are single and, and a lot younger and have every reason to go all in. But here we were, right with a million and other things, a million excuses of why we couldn't go all in. But here we were playing full out. And the dignity that came from that, the amount of pride, going to bed, proud of yourself, knowing that you gave a hundred percent. There's, there's nothing like that. And, and I wanna encourage you guys, for those of you who are like, you know, dabbling here and there, it's so much better to just play full out because the sense of pride you get, right. Pain is temporary, but the pride and the dignity that you have is permanent. It's, it's you, you feel that, you know, long term. Okay? So, um, understand that clarity follows commitment. Clarity follows commitment. So the more committed you are, the more clear you're going to be along the way, and you will find your way. But you need a hundred percent full commitment and dedication. Next what all in actually looks like. So keep in mind it doesn't mean recklessness, it means aligned, it means focused energy, working smarter, not necessarily harder. That's what, that's what it means to go all in. So when, for example, when we launched, um, our new company in, in October, we were very calculated. We knew the exact amount of people that we had to reach out to every single day to grow our customer base. Right. And, um, do our prospecting. And it was very, very calculated. It didn't take hours and hours to reach out to those people. No. It was, it was very precise. Like, okay, if we do this, we should get this. You understand? So it was focused energy and we were very, very mindful at making sure that everything that we did was in alignment with that objective. Okay. Um, another thing is when you're all in, you're gonna have specific daily habits. You need a vision and you're also going to need resilience when it gets hard. So you're going to have those moments again where you're not at a hundred percent. And when you find yourself in that season where life is life in, and you don't have the capacity to play full out, give yourself some grace, give yourself some grace.'cause I can assure you that. Even you at 10%, you're probably doing more work than the majority of people because it's intentional. And the goal is to just take a few inches. There are gonna be days where all you get is one inch, but it's still an inch closer to the goal line. Now, um, another thing that helps is sometimes it is beneficial to eliminate backup plans that keep you comfortable but stagnant. Think about that. There, there are certain backup plans that you have that it's, it's like drawing you and reeling you back into the land of the common man. It's reeling you back in to, uh, you know, your comfort zone. And a lot of the time it's your relationships. It's the people that you are around. Remember the saying, as cliche as it is, but misery does love company. And what will happen is when you are all in. You will be like a mirror to all the people in your life who are not all in to all the people in your life who are not living up to their potential or going after their dreams. You will be like a mirror to them. And it's very painful for a lot of people to see someone who was in the land of the common man justifying their mediocrity, to see them go all in on their dreams. It's like, man, I need to do something. And you are gonna make a lot of people uncomfortable that are around you. A lot of people that were stuck in their comfort zones. But here's the thing, you either are going to change your friends or change your friends. You are either going to inspire them by you going all in, or you're just going to have to change your friends altogether and love your past friends at a distance. You may have to cultivate a relationship of limited association because you're no longer in alignment. You're no longer equally yoked in that sense. And you have to be okay with that. If, if you're chilling with friends that are okay with, you know, drinking, smoking, and that's all they do, you know, they don't care to go after their goals. They just wanna be chilling. They wanna be hanging out. They wanna live a, a hedonistic existence where it's all about pleasure, you know, they wanna go and, and be turning up at, you know, the bar. And it's funny because I, I went out with my boys the other day, uh, we went jet skiing and then we went out to this, uh, we went out to this bar on the water. And as I was there just kind of observing, I like, I like people watching. So I, I, people watch a lot and I'm there just observing a lot of people. And I'm just like, man, there are some of these people that this is a lifestyle for them. They're here every weekend. They're weekend warriors and they're blowing all of their money, all of their resources just on this party lifestyle. And in my mind, I'm like, this, this ain't it. Like this is cool. Every once in a while, I don't go out to just party. No. When I go out, it's to celebrate. It's to celebrate something. Be that person that you only are going to party to celebrate. Not necessarily as a lifestyle, don't make partying your lifestyle. Have it be something that's a celebration for you, right? If you're, I'm not knocking you popping bottles in a club, if, if, if that's what you like. But do it to celebrate a milestone. Don't just have it be something that, you know, takes all of your, your resources. It just, it doesn't make any sense. So you'll have friends in your life that just wanna party and have fun. And it's not to cash judgment on them. But here's what I do know is that. If you give your time to dad, that's less time that you're going to be giving towards the things that truly make an impact in the world. The things that truly last, like building generational wealth for your family, like making a contribution to humanity like your legacy, right? You have to be willing to take up your cross and sacrifice for other people. That's what the process looks like. The hero's journey is that it's you making the sacrifice every single day, but the reward is on the other side, and the reward is a sense of dignity and pride that you have in yourself. A sense of fulfillment, a sense of significance. How many of us truly want that, right? But we'll, we'll mask all of this pain with things that bring us temporary satisfaction, but it doesn't last. It's like the leaves on a tree. It just leaves. It's fleeting. It's, it's just temporary happiness. It's not internal joy. And what's going to bring you that internal joy and be like the roots of a tree that are still there, even when the storm passes, is dedicating yourself to growth and contribution. Dedicating yourself to being the very best person that you can be so that you have more of a capacity to give to the world. That's what it's about. And if you don't believe me, take a chance on it for a season. Take a chance for a season. Take a season of your life to just dedicate everything that you have to growing you so that you have more to give. And I can assure you, after that season is done, you'll be so proud of who you become in the process. Next up. How to know if you're not all in. So signs of half-hearted action, how to know like, well, when do you know that? You know what, I'm not playing full out. And I think it's quite obvious, right? Procrastination, needing constant motivation, overthinking, all of these are definitely clear signs because again, clarity of intention is power. Sometimes you're not all in because you're just confused. And in a com, a confused mind does nothing. You need a crystal clear vision. Without vision, people perish. So you have to have a very, very clear vision of what exactly is your north star. But not only that, but a vision for what you need to be doing for the day. I call it the big three. Some people call it a three, the three to thrive. But what are the three things that you have to do today, for example. And again, keep the outcome in mind. What's the specific result that you have to produce? Because that daily action is what leads to the results that you're going for. All right? So, uh, if you guys are getting value, once again, drop a one in the comments. If you're still with me, we're about to bring this plane in for a landing here, okay? And my goal, my intention after this breakfast club is that whatever you guys have aspirations to work on, right? Whether it's you being an author, podcaster, speaker, business owner, right? Like whatever it is, you want me, you wanna be a mom, you wanna be a dad, um, you know, you wanna be a community leader, but to make a decision to go all in on something, to play full out on something, maybe you just play full out on your marriage for a season. Maybe you just go all in on your health for a season. But my job is done here. If you guys can make a decision by the end of this breakfast club that you are going to commit to going all in on something, something that can move the needle in your life and get you the results that you want, even if it's just one area. Okay? So here's a gut check exercise, and great question to ponder. Where am I waiting for certainty before I move? Think about this for a second. In your life, where are you waiting for certainty in order for you to actually take action on what you should be doing? You see, some of you are probably waiting for all of the conditions to be perfect. It's like when we, whenever you launch a brand new company, whenever you launch a brand new company, there are gonna be 1,001 fires that you have to put out. This is with any startup company, you're going to have so many obstacles along the way. What takes a lot of people out is the lack of certainty that they have, and you have to really reflect on that. What are you not moving forward with? Because you just don't have full certainty. Maybe it's in your relationship and you don't know whether or not you wanna go all in on the relationship because you're like, what if they leave me? What if they end up hurting me? What if they do this? And you're not playing full out because of that? What if you just wore your heart on your sleeve and took that chance, took a chance on faith for once, took a chance to say, you know what? I don't really know for sure how this is going to turn out, but you know, after praying about it, meditating on it, whatever it is that you have to do, you feel like your heart's pull on this very thing? Take a chance. Very worst case scenario, you could at least say that you tried. That's the most important thing. Okay, so how to go all in starting today. As we wrap up here, the first thing is to build conviction. Re-clarify your why. Your why. Why is it that you're doing what it is that you're doing? Why is that dream important to you? Why? Why are, why is it important to you to liberate yourself financially? Who are you blessing, right? Who gets to benefit from you going after your dream? Who benefits? Sometimes it helps to take ourselves out of the equation and make it about the people that you're impacting, depending on how you're wired. A lot of people may not do it for themselves, but they'll do it for their loved ones, but you have to re-clarify your why. Secondly, set non-negotiables. What has to become a non-negotiable in order for you to go all in? So let's just say it's writing a book. You know that you absolutely have to write this book because it's a, it's a big burning desire in your life. Well. Perhaps a non-negotiable. A non-negotiable can be writing at least five pages a day, or one page a day, or one chapter a day, whatever it is, right? But something has to be a non-negotiable, where it is a must for you and you have to build your life around that non-negotiable. So for example, for me, exercise is a non-negotiable. Like I, I have to be in that gym at least three times a week. It's there, there's no compromising, there's no like, oh, well I don't, I'm not sure if I'm gonna make it. Oh, well I'm trapped. No, it's there, there's going to be some physical exercise. It's a non-negotiable. And, and that's also, uh, for example, with, with our family day, we take at least one day outta the week. And that became a non-negotiable because it was that important. Our lives. Me taking some time to build my business or create some content or things like that. The Breakfast Club is a non-negotiable, right? I commit to it every single Tuesday. There's no dabbling. There's no like second guessing or whether or not it's going to happen, but there's certain things that you have to put in place, sometimes that non-negotiable. In order for it to become a non-negotiable, you need accountability. You need a consequence to not following through. You need to make it so painful for not following through. That's how it becomes a non-negotiable. The idea of me not exercising and me getting out of shape is so painful that it became a non-negotiable in my life. The idea of gaining the whole world and losing my soul in the process is. There it is. Just me spending time with my family. I don't have to think about it very much. It's not like me pulling out teeth. It's like, no, this is a non-negotiable, you know, this my spiritual life. Non-negotiable. What is a non-negotiable in your life that you can commit to? What has to be, become a non-negotiable in order for you to go all in? Next is get accountability. Get accountability, whatever that looks like for you. Maybe it's finding a family member or a friend. Maybe it's, it's hiring a coach. You know, reach out to me. I'd be more than happy, uh, to guide you in the right direction. Right? Um, but you need some form of accountability. I can tell you right now, uh, there are so many things that I'm, I'm so disciplined with because at some point in time I had accountability. I may have had the workout buddy. I. I may have had the running buddy when it came to physical running, but also like a business run. When you go on a business run, having people that you're accountable to having a family, to be accountable to having the Breakfast Club community to be accountable to, but who, who's holding you accountable for going all in? Find someone in your life, you know, get coaching or mentorship, something, someone that can hold you accountable and ask you like, Hey, how's this going? How's this project going? Right? Um, next, uh, how to know that you're going or how to go all in, uh, starting today. Visualize your future self, who already did go all in. Isn't that a great exercise? Like, take some time to really process that. What would life look like for you in five years, in 10 years as a result of going all in? Who do you become in the process? How, how different does your life look? Where do you live? What do you do for work? What's the impact that you've made by going all in? And I think we all need to take some time to just slow down and really reflect on what are we doing here? What does this all mean? What do we really, really want with our lives? What does God want for us? And taking some time to process that and visualize that North star coming into fruition and what life can be. And let that inspire you. Let that inspire you, let that pull you. When motivation can no longer push you. Let that pull you when you know, just the, the, the fear of of life can no longer push you. It's so much better to take action out of inspiration instead of desperation. Let your crystal clear vision. I. That excites you. Let that pull you on those days. You won't need an alarm clock every day. I can assure you that when you are truly living in alignment with your purpose, you won't be needing to hit that snooze button as much because you're genuinely excited for the day ahead. So as we close out, right, um, understand that this isn't about shame, right? It isn't about guilt like, man, I haven't really been playing, you know, full out, or I haven't really been going all in. It's really about awareness. The biggest dreams require the deepest commitments. And often the moment you go all in is in, is in the moment the game changes for you forever. There's just something about life. Life has a a, a very clear understanding that you are going all in and you're not compromising. So my, my call to action, to our Breakfast Club community is to take five minutes today and do an all in audit. Look at your business, your health, your relationships, your career, whatever it is, and ask yourself, honestly, where am I playing small? Then commit to one area where you are ready to go all in. Okay. And I'm looking forward to hearing what that process is like for you. All right, so with that being said, ladies and gentlemen, breakfast is officially served. I hope that you got value from today's breakfast club session. If you did drop a comment, it most certainly helps, like, comment, share, tag, follow, subscribe, all of that good stuff helps me to continue to still do this work after so many years. And it's an honor and privilege to be able to serve this community and to be able to provide this, this inspiration and motivation that we desperately need, right? To get through, uh, you know, life's challenges. And I hope that this can fill you with, uh, motivation to take action. And, and I hope and pray that you guys go all in on something, even if it's for a season, because I know that by you living up to your fullest potential life will look incredibly different for you, and you will go in the direction that you ultimately wanna go in. So, God bless you all. Take care. Breakfast is served and I'll be seeing you all next week.
