SPEAKER_03I feel like it's been a minute since we've had a a like opener that was actually like good. Actually, to be honest, like it's been a minute since we've both been like in a decent mood, huh?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, you know, I really am on the upswing right now, to be honest. Uh, there's a lot of things in my life that have been stuck in place, and I don't feel that way anymore. I feel like I'm catching up on all the things I've been behind on. So I've been on a super uh I don't want to say super positive because there are negative things in my life, but I've definitely been on the upswing for sure.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I will say this right now, like I like life fucking sucks, like in the like IRL, but like I just got out of therapy like two seconds ago. And so like I'm in a pretty good mood. Um prior to therapy, I was feeling a little down. I'm not gonna lie. But getting in therapy, having a good cry out, it gets you in a pretty good mood, I will say, to start the day. Oh, I lost my coffee somewhere. Where the frick did my coffee go? Oh well.
SPEAKER_02But yeah.
SPEAKER_00You mean this coffee? I stole your coffee, daddy.
SPEAKER_03From 500 miles away.
SPEAKER_00Yes. I reached through the phone and stole your coffee. You know what? Um that's found this place. Um, it's like a Filipino donut shop, and they have this special like Filipino coffee there, and it is so numbers, and I got it. It's only six bucks, and it's like more than they'd give you a Starbucks.
SPEAKER_03Um when you said numbers, I thought you said numbers, and I was like, what?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we run in numbers, girl. We running numbers. I'm gonna go from the most feminine sounding thing I've said all day to the most manly sounding thing. It was so numbers, we run in numbers.
SPEAKER_03It was yummy.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. But uh that's cool. Shit, man. Uh blah blah blah. But we got a cool game today, and we got a cool, very interesting topic.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't know if I found enough. I mean, this isn't gonna make sense unless we explain it first, but I wasn't able to uh find You didn't you didn't come up with eleven? Well, I came up with a cool amount of fake names, but I couldn't find enough real names to like offset the balance. So I don't know if it's supposed to be.
SPEAKER_03So I came up with so for each one that I came up with, I found two.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I might need a little more time to just find maybe a few more, but maybe we could play like the first couple rounds. Um, I don't know if you want to like break it up, but uh why don't you explain for the good people at home what kind of game we're gonna be playing today?
SPEAKER_03Okay, so basically I had this idea while I was scrolling the um the crunchy roll. Like, you ever been through Crunchyroll and you just be reading the fucking names, and it's like I woke up and I found out that I didn't have a dick no more. That's a good one, and it's like some dumbass fucking name. Like some anime's names are so fucking crazy, and like it's literally like so stupid, and like, or it's like a full ass sentence. Like, I'll marry my next door neighbor who has a cow, and it's like it's like a full sentence, so I'm like, okay, it'd be so funny to like go through and find some ridiculous ass like anime names and come up with some like ridiculous ass anime names on the side, and then to like compare them and be like, okay, yeah, try to figure out here's it's like two truths and a lie, except it's anime titles, yeah. Yeah, exactly. So like that's what we're playing today.
SPEAKER_00I'm so excited for this.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so that's the game that we're gonna play. So I don't know. Do you want to play the game first or do you want to talk about our other topic?
SPEAKER_00Well, how about this? Since I still need a few more things, why don't we do a few now? And then whenever it feels like we're in a lull of the conversation, we can dive back in. It'll be like our our home base in a way. We return to whenever we're gonna like switch up subjects or whatever.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So I did like 11, so we do like half and then end with half.
SPEAKER_00Um, we could go, we could go two for two, where like I'll do I'll do two, meaning like, you know, two truths and a lie, two truths and a lie, and then you do two truths and a lie, two truths and a lie, and then we'll see how we feel if we want to do more. And if not, then we'll tap into the topic.
SPEAKER_03Okay, cool. Cool.
SPEAKER_00Nice. I feel like we're really on business today. We're like, yes, we have a fucking schedule.
SPEAKER_03We actually have shit to talk about today.
SPEAKER_00So often we're like, yeah, I did laundry today, and my mother called, so I mean, I could tell you what I talked about in therapy. Okay. I mean, hey, I'm always down for that too. That's actually super interesting. Maybe, maybe give us a little tidbit. Well, yeah, I think it's awesome. I've always wanted to do it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so I yeah, I am doing therapy. Uh, it's this is like my uh I don't know. I've been doing therapy for a little bit over a month now. It's like we we on that mental health shit. Um, I also I'm doing therapy and I have been saying a psychiatrist too. So I have been formally diagnosed with ADHD now. Yeah. I I have been on Adderall for uh a little over a month.
SPEAKER_00Damn! How's that feel?
SPEAKER_03Um, it's been at first, like I I like wasn't feeling any different. Um because I had like a lower dose and then they bumped my dose up a little bit, so I'm on like 15 milligrams now. But like it's a little interesting. Like I feel like I am uh I don't know, like to be honest, like I sometimes I'm like, is it you is it doing anything? Like, am I more focused? I don't know. Like me and Tara have talked about it, and like I do feel like I'm not forgetting as much. Okay. I do I do feel like I'm remembering more things. So that's good. Um I don't feel as much like like sometimes like before the medication, I feel like I would be like, like say like I'd be at my desk and I'd be like like uh about to get up to go do something, and then I'd be like, I need to go to the office, but I need to get this, but I need to go get copies, but I need to go to the bathroom, but I need to do this, and I'd be like, uh uh uh uh and I like don't know what to do. Like you can't see it with the motion, with the motion that I'm doing, but I'm like looking left, looking right, left, left, looking right, you know, like what the heck do I do next? And so like I feel like I'm not doing that as much. It's feeling more like okay, I'm gonna do this, then that, then this, then that. Like it feels more like I'm you have more control a little bit more, yeah. Like that definitely feels like it, I'm not as like crazy. Like I'm I'm like, okay, I'm doing more things. I still feel like I'm doing my dopamine seeking behaviors though. Like I do feel like I'm I come home and I will get stuck. Like I'm hyp I hyper focus a little bit more, so like when I start scrolling, I do feel like it's harder to pull myself away from scrolling, which is not so good, I feel like.
SPEAKER_00But what is Storm and my bad. I don't want to interrupt your your momentum because I feel like I'm enjoying the role that you're on, but I also want to know what these terms are that you're using. So you said dopamine seeking.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, dopamine seeking is like so basically what ADHD is, is it's a a deficit disorder in your brain where like your brain does not make enough uh like serotonin, essentially. So serotonin and dopamine are both like happy, uh they're happy like chemicals, they make you feel happy and fulfilled and stuff like that.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_03And so uh people who have ADHD they have dopamine-seeking behaviors, and these behaviors are things like um constant scrolling through TikTok, um like regular, like a lot of food like eating, like behaviors, like I'm gonna eat a lot of chocolate or a lot of like foods that make me feel happy, and they spark that happy brain. Um people who have ADHD often have addiction issues, so they will um they'll do drugs or uh smoke weed or have issues with things that make them feel better in some kind of way. They they start doing that and then they have a hard time stopping.
SPEAKER_00Wow, you know, I love when you go to therapy because I learned so much about myself.
SPEAKER_03It's funny because I knew this way before I went to therapy. So I I knew going into to my psychiatry that I had ADHD, and it was just like affirming to go to psychiatry and be like, nah, you hella have psych uh ADHD.
SPEAKER_00But you actually learned more than that, right? You learned that um you actually have a little more than just ADHD or a certain type, right?
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, so we have so there's like three different types of ADHD. There is um, there is basically hyperactivity, there is inattentive, and then there's mixed. I have mixed, which and it's my mixed ADHD does lean inattentive, so I have more inattentive behaviors than hyperactive, but I do still have uh hyperactive behaviors, and like hyperactivity does not necessarily mean like it's solely hyperactivity because hyperactivity also coincides with impulsivity, so it's my hyperactivity, quote unquote, behaviors mostly hinge on that impulsivity rather than the hyperactivity. So I'm not like it's not like I'm like running around and stuff like that. I do fidget a lot, and that kind of is part of the hyperactivity, so like I can't really sit still and like I will like shake my leg or I have like a fidget in my hand, or like I will like play with my hair a lot, or um like like my fingers will rub a lot, like when I got like little you got little stems, you stem out from time to time. Yeah, a little like yeah, I got little stems that I do a lot. Um, and those are like very small and they're learned, but like as a child, they were probably a lot bigger. Like, do you I don't know if you remember when we were in middle school, I used to do that thing a lot where I would snap and hit my hands, so it was like oh yeah, I do kind of remember that.
SPEAKER_00I feel like a few people did that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I used to do that so much, and it was like very annoying, but that was like a hyperactive little stim that I used to do. Um but that's like part of that hyperactivity, but the impulsivity part is like um like excessive spending. So like I don't because I grew up poor, I think I I'd ride that line a little bit, but I spend money on stupid shit, like a lot of a lot of little stupid shit here and there, where like if you added it all up, like it could all amount to like at the end of the month, ah shit, I could have bought an Xbox this month or some shit. Like so, like I spent the whole month and I like I bought a lip gloss here and I bought like some like hair product that was expensive, or like I splurged on this, and like if you added it all up, then I could have got something else, or like, or for example, like I need a new bookshelf, but instead I keep buying books.
SPEAKER_00That's fucking poetic, dude.
SPEAKER_03So I just have like hella books and like on the floor.
SPEAKER_00Hit him with a Confucius, Confucius, do not buy book when you have no bookshelf.
SPEAKER_03So I just like my books are starting to like stack on the floor and shit. Cause like I'm like, but like, but my dopamine says that the books are better than the bookshelves.
SPEAKER_00Right. You wanna hear uh you wanna hear my recent ADHD money not going to good places thing? Because dude, if you if if you remember, it was only a month or two ago where I was wondering if I was about to get kicked out this bitch. Full disclosure. Um so let me put it to you like this. How many Yu-Gi-Oh decks do you think I have? Because I um I have this place in Sacramento called uh Skyscraper Comics, where they have all the Yu-Gi-Oh! cards for a quarter. It doesn't matter if it's a rare ass blue eyes white dragon that's worth$600, or if it's a freaking common that's worth a penny, everything is a quarter. Which means if a card deck is 40 cards, then you could build an entire deck for$10. You know what I mean? So, like, in a way, I was like, holy shit, this is cheap as fuck. I love to duel. Let's get it on. And I'd be buying cards.
SPEAKER_03Now you just be buying Hella.
SPEAKER_00Now, dude, just guess how many decks I have, man. It's not crazy, it's not crazy when it comes to the money. But the idea money I have 10 decks already, dude.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's crazy. No, dude, okay, so on that same note though, I found this place online where it's like an outlet. It's I think it's like called book outlet or something like that, and they sell books for$5.99.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And I bought six. Ah and I told Tara about it. And she goes, babe, it's only$5.99 if you buy one. And I'm like, Yeah, but if I buy six, that's like the price of one book.
SPEAKER_00I get your thought process though. That makes sense. If you were fully mentally prepared, yeah, if you were mentally prepared to spend that much already, you might as well get your money's worth.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we got like, okay, for example, like we got our taxes back, and I told Tara, like, I want to get us a new rug for the living room when we get our taxes back. That's like the only thing that I really want. The rest is going to savings. And she's like, Alright, okay, that that's chill, let's do it. Um, because the other one that we have is like white, because like I was only buying rugs from like Ross because they're cheaper at Ross, but they're always white. And I was like, fuck that. I'm not getting it from Ross, I'm getting it from Wayfair, and we're just gonna spend a little bit more money. That's fine.
SPEAKER_00So Wayfair, they got just what I need.
SPEAKER_03So I end right, let's get a fucking uh yeah, let's get a fucking sponsorship from Wayfair, right? Um, we are not sponsored by Wayfair, but if you want to sponsor us, um anyway, so I end up looking on Wayfair and I see this rug. Like, I show her all the rugs that I want, and I'm like, okay, pick one, which one do you like the most? She's like, I really like this one, but I also really like this one. This one's really pretty. And I'm like, okay, cool. And I'm like, you know what? This is really big. Like, let's measure out the living room. This living room is a lot smaller than the living room we used to have, so like we might be able to go down a size. So I we measure it out, we can go down a size, and the size that we go down is a hundred dollars, a whole ass hundred dollars cheaper. Damn, and I'm like, well shit, we were willing to spend, we were willing to spend two hundred dollars on the bigger rug. So I kind of want a rug in our bedroom because like the whole house, you know that Mexican ass tile floors, like the big ass cold as fuck. Yeah, and like I don't like putting my bottles on the floor when it's like cold as fuck at night. Like it's so cold, and I'm like, it wakes me up and I'm like, no, that's not fun. I don't want that. So I told her, I was like, I kind of want a rug like under our bed, like that would be kind of sick.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, so when you step out of bed, you can freaking have some yeah, warmth, stability.
SPEAKER_03So I told her, I was like, since we were since we were already gonna spend a hundred dollars, like I go get out of the rug. What do you want to think? That's a good idea. And I was like, okay. And so I was looking to see if I could get the rug that the other rug that we liked. Um, but it was like hella big, so I was like, I don't need that big of a rug. So I tried to see if it had it had that rug a size down, and they didn't, so we ended up having to find a whole last different rug, but that's fine. We got it, and we got a we got two rugs. We got two rugs for the price of one.
SPEAKER_00Bad at saving money. Yes, bad, girl math. Very bad.
SPEAKER_03Technically, I did save money.
SPEAKER_00I twice. I saved money twice, bitch.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. I just bought two rugs for the price of one.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00No, I I see the mentality.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, so yeah. That's all the the psychiatry bullshit. The uh therapy bullshit. I talked to my therapist today about uh so I woke up this morning, I had a bad morning because I woke up this morning and I found out um in Tennessee uh gay marriage is no longer protected. So uh people can deny like health services, or like if a gay couple wants to buy a house, they can say, nah, I don't want to sell to you. Or like if I'd discriminatory Yeah, like they can discriminate however they want now in Tennessee. If you're gay, it's a hundred percent legal to discriminate them in every capacity. Um that's just because that's just the bill that passed, like it's they they passed a bill that makes it legal to discriminate um against gay.
SPEAKER_00What are they what are the are the gays ruining the community? Are there's just freaking gangs on every corner with just gay dudes?
SPEAKER_03Gay gangs?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, bro. Just throwing skittles, throwing skittles out the fucking window as a drive-by. Taste the rainbow, bitch.
SPEAKER_03Taste the rainbow, bitch!
SPEAKER_00Like what the fuck kind of shit like why? Why do they feel the need to do this? Why like what kind of low fucking like shit do you have to be on to feel threatened by love?
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I wish I knew. I wish I could understand, but I don't understand. But that was one thing that kind of upset me this morning, and then I learned some shit about the fucking Epstein files, which like it's like every single day I'm like something pops up about the Epstein files that just it's they were they're monsters. They're monsters. It's disgusting. Like they literally like they they literally like had they did disgusting things to babies, made them have babies, and then ate their babies. It's like it's disgusting. Disgusting.
SPEAKER_00And sounds like some attack on Titan shit.
SPEAKER_03Hey, so it's you know, you're so disturbing.
SPEAKER_00You're um a Democrat. Um well no.
SPEAKER_03I I mean I don't really call myself a Democrat. I'm I'm left-leaning. I'm like I'm a liberal.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so you you lean liberal. Um I have a friend at work who I feel is very friend in you.
unknownSorry.
SPEAKER_00Let me say he's very close-minded when it comes to anything liberal. He thinks that the left is just plotting and they're all evil and they're all doing what apparently doing what we're reading about right now in the Epstein files. Like, he's been talking about this shit for like let me say probably five to six years. He's been talking about all the shit that's coming out right now. And I was like, dang, dude, I thought this fool was crazy and talking out of his ass, and it turned out he was right. It's just a matter of who was it who was doing the shit. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03It's not about us, it's not about whether you're Democrat or Republican, it's about whether you're rich or poor. It's the rich people versus the poor people. And the problem that's happening right now is that Trump is doing a damn fine job at polarizing us as a nation and pitting us against each other so that way we cannot come aga come together to fight this. Like, if we could all stand together and agree that this is fucking foul, I don't care if they're democratic leaders. I don't care if they're Republican leaders. It's disgusting and disturbing, and they all need to go down for it. And there's people in fucking politics right now that are like, if uh if we prosecuted all the people, there would only be like two Republican leaders left. So be it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Let it be a good idea. Literally make room for the next generation.
SPEAKER_03Like literally.
SPEAKER_00These motherfuckers ran everything into the ground to fill their own pockets. Sometimes Louis XIII needs to get his head cut off in the fucking town square. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It's fucking wild. So, I mean, it was like, it's like I opened my TikTok and it's like, it's like, like, it's one after another. Like, Tennessee, uh, gay rights are no longer a thing. Uh, the next one is like describing a picture of like that was redacted in the Epstein files, and it's so disturbing. And then the next one is like Henrietta Henrietta, Georgia, a black man, was lynched. And then the next one is like in uh Minnesota, like people are burning down the vigils and like and ice is still out there rampaging and da da da da da. And it's like it's just it was so much. And so I just had to like I had to turn off my TikTok because I just can't be on TikTok right now. Yeah, I just had to turn it off and set it to the side, and then I like and then I open up my Facebook and I see my mom posted that my grandma got laid to rest. She died in 2018. She got laid to rest, and my uncle didn't let anybody know. And I'm just like, fuck! So that's how I started my morning. That's how I started my morning, and so that's how I got onto that's what that's what I talked about in therapy, and uh and I talked it, I talked it all out and whatever, and cried it out, and uh honestly, like therapy is really nice, like it like it really lets you talk everything out, and then now I'm like feeling a little bit better. Like, obviously, the world around us still sucks, but I'm in a better mood.
SPEAKER_00That's what's up. I have and you know, I think that can impose I think the thing about doom scrolling is um well, you know, in a way, I have a question for you, and in another way I have a statement to make. The statement is that when doom scrolling, I apply the method that drug addicts use whenever they do their little meetings, they say, God, grant me serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Uh, what is it? The wisdom to change the things I can and something, things like that, but basically knowing the power of what you can change and what you can't change, which is like the things we can change, saying, like, oh yeah, if we all come together, we can fight the 1%. That is something that we can change if we would all just realize it. Um, what we can't change is how the world feels about what's going on and what's already been done and and things like that. But in this immediate situation, you've come to realize the things you can't change are the things you're seeing happening in the world right now, at this exact moment. But the things that you can change are the things that you're doing in your immediate time, with your immediate space, with the immediate people that you experience life with from day to day. So, like, um, I think you definitely make the right move by putting the phone down and going and doing something that brings you joy, you know, or or or productivity. Um, but here goes my question for you before we hop into this game, because I feel like you you wrapped this all up in a very nice way. Um as a teacher, you know, um, what would be your advice to someone who feels that every time they look at their phone, all they see is disaster. You know, like what would you tell someone who felt like you? You know?
SPEAKER_03I think it's really important to like, first of all, process your feelings. Like let yourself feel what you're feeling. It's okay, like it's valid, everything that you're feeling is valid. The the way that they are dropping the Epstein files is calculated, they did it in a way that it is not like psychologically you're unable to process things the way that you're supposed to do. Like, for example, in court cases when something is particularly traumatizing, in order for a jury to um like properly view evidence that is traumatizing, they only give the jury evidence, one piece at a time, in order for them to look at the piece of evidence, process the piece of evidence, and then like come down from that, and then they give them a new piece.
SPEAKER_00So they don't want it to build up and make it seem like it's some sort of ramping up of emotions as you're absorbing the information.
SPEAKER_03If they do a like a uh an information dump like that, it causes a stress response and it can it can make people uh like their their nervous systems shut down and like it's it's trauma. It it's immediate trauma. Like the way that they dump these files on us, it's it's trauma. Um and so it and it's trauma-inducing. And so I think the first step is to just process what you're feeling and tell yourself that it's okay, like it's okay, what you're feeling is okay. The second step is to understand that you might not be able to do something on a large scale, however, the most important thing to do right now is to look at what you can do in your community right here and right now around you. So who are your people? Gather them and try and help in your community. If you have if you live in a place where ICE is around and you can or want to do something, do something. If you're not currently in a place where ice is actually doing something, look online, see if there's any resources that you can help with online. I donated to uh like a service um called Haven Watch that's in Minnesota, and that made me feel a little bit better. Um there's lawyers out there that are like asking for help. Um, there's all kinds of little ways that you can help community stuff. There's protests happening all over the country you can get involved in. Um, whatever it is that you I mean, if you if you if you're not emotionally able to handle getting out there and protest and all that kind of stuff, there's other ways that you can protest. Protest is also being happy, like put together a freaking celebration and like show that love is okay. Like, do stuff like that. Like there's so many other ways to fight against this in positive ways, like putting together food drives and and just like showing up for your community in so many ways. So just look at what's happening around you currently, right now, and figure out how you want to help in that way, in that capacity, and fulfill it and do it for you. Don't do it for anybody else, do it for you, and don't do it to show everybody like hey, look what I'm doing. Like, do it for you. That would be my advice.
SPEAKER_00Wow, yeah. I yeah, I couldn't have said it better myself. That was great. Um and to you listeners out there too, if you are participating and absorbing this fucking crazy ass information online, make sure you do research too to differentiate between the bullshit of what people are theorizing and suspecting, and also, you know, knowing the difference between what actually is being released, you know? Um, because knowledge is power, and motherfuckers be just reading headlines and then not reading actual fucking source material and then just roll them with that, and that's not cool either.
SPEAKER_03It's rough, but you can go and just look at the actual source material. It it sucks. It hurts to do that, but you can do that.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Anyways, so let's get into this game.
SPEAKER_03Do you wanna do you wanna go first?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I hella wanna do it.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you go first.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so one of the names, uh you know what? I'm gonna sorry. We are we're gonna jump into it, but I don't wanna just jump right the fuck into it. We gotta like start like some s some little jingle. See, this is where me in the future is gonna introduce some sort of like song, and it's gonna be like it's time for the game show. You know what I mean? Okay. So now, round one. Okay. Two of these is true, and one of these is something that I made up.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Okay. So your options are don't hurt me. I'm a healer. Once again, left in the dust by my arch nemesis. 100 girlfriends that really, really, really, really, really like you.
SPEAKER_03I think it's the last one.
SPEAKER_00That one's real.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god.
SPEAKER_00100 girlfriends that really, really, really, really, really like you is a real anime. Do you want to know which which one was fake?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00The fake one was once again left in the dust by my arch nemesis.
SPEAKER_03That one's so good though.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. I came that was the first one I came up with.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Hey. Fats just came in. We just started the game show. And I've already got a point on Danny. Wait, how are we gonna do these points? Do you get do you get points by guessing it right, or do I get points by fooling you?
SPEAKER_03Both?
SPEAKER_00Ooh, okay. Someone's gonna have to keep track of the points.
SPEAKER_03I can track points. I've got a notebook right here.
SPEAKER_00Excuse me.
SPEAKER_03Okay, you got one point. Okay, are you doing another one?
SPEAKER_00Should I go two in a row or should we go back and forth?
SPEAKER_03Um, I can do we could go back and forth.
SPEAKER_00Fat says what's up.
SPEAKER_03Hello.
SPEAKER_00She says hello. Yeah, let's let's go back and forth. You do one.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Um, okay, so I have Frequency Sentence to be a hero. And an adventurer's daily grind at twenty-nine.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, what was the first one again?
SPEAKER_03Frequency.
SPEAKER_00I'm gonna go. Hmm. I recognize the name of that second one. So I feel like that second one is real. I'm gonna say the third one is the one you made up.
SPEAKER_03Incorrect.
SPEAKER_00Oh, no way.
SPEAKER_03The the fake is frequency. That's actually the name of a band.
SPEAKER_00Oh, okay, okay. I don't know. I figured when I heard a one a one-name title, I was like, yeah, that that's probably real, you know? Shit. So you got a point, and I got a point. Damn, we've been we're doing pretty good at fooling each other. Shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Alright.
SPEAKER_03Okay, go ahead.
SPEAKER_00This is kind of a reveal a reveal for fats, too, because uh I told them about the game, but I don't think I read all of my shit. Hey, so don't be fats, don't be laughing in the background if you know it's fake, Brad, because you're gonna mess up the game. Alright. Um here's your three options here. Um if her flag breaks, then chillin' at my 30s after getting fired from the Demon Lord's army. And then killed by every blow, immortal reflection. You want me to read them again?
SPEAKER_03I feel like it's chillin' at my thirties, because I don't know if I've ever seen the word chillin' in an anime.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that's your answers number two.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Chillin' in my 30s after getting fired from the Demon Lord's army is real.
SPEAKER_01What the fuck? Okay.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, bruh. And you know what's funny? I've watched like the first two episodes, and it's so hilarious because he's like an insecure guy, and every time he feels like giving up on himself, he just looks at boobs and suddenly gets the urge, suddenly gets the urge to fight again.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so what's the fake?
SPEAKER_00Okay, the fake one is um I'm switching back between my two pages. The fake one is killed by every blow in mortal reflection.
SPEAKER_03Damn, you're hella good at this.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, man. I I was like trying to come up with shit, but I I wanted it to sound like shit that's already out low-key, you know?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Nice. Hit me.
SPEAKER_03Alright, my turn. I got please teacher, and then I have the boring life.
SPEAKER_00I thought there was gonna be more.
SPEAKER_03Okay. And then I have the boring life of a high school teacher, and then I have a terrified teacher at Google School.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit. This one has a theme.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, so the first one. Can you read them one more time? I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I have Please Teacher, The Boring Life of a High School Teacher and a Terrified Teacher at Ghoul School.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay. Ooh, shit. So I feel like I've seen the first one on Crunchyroll. Like scrolling past it, please, teacher. I could be wrong. Um, but the ghoul school sounds hella interesting. Um I think the middle one, I think B, the second one, is the one you did.
SPEAKER_03Alright, you're actually right.
SPEAKER_00Hey, I finally got one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I wonder if I'm a I'm probably not gonna get any. You're really good at this.
SPEAKER_00I have I have less though. You have more than me, so we'll see. We'll see how it goes. You can you can play your cards, and I don't know if you're just going down your list in order or if you're like picking ones, but you can if you feel like picking your your best ones, then we could do that too. Alright, so we've both done two, or yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, we've both done two.
SPEAKER_00So do you want to switch it up or do you want to keep going? I feel like this is pretty fun.
SPEAKER_03It is fun. Do you want to do one more and then we can get into the topic?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, let's do one more each. Um so what are we points wise? You're two and I'm three?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_02Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_00So now um here's your three options. First anime. Crunchyroll. Rascal does not dream of Bunny Girl Senpai. And Reborn as a vending machine.
SPEAKER_03Oh God. Um Damn, is there actually an anime called Crunchyroll? That's my that's my hang up. I'm like, is there actually like is there actually an anime called Crunchyroll? Because like also, like, what the fuck would an anime about a vending machine be?
SPEAKER_00Right?
SPEAKER_03Uh um. I feel like there would be some kind of copyright issue. So I'm gonna go with crunchy roll, but I feel like I don't know, I could be very wrong, but I'm gonna go with crunchy roll.
SPEAKER_00Good job, you finally got one. Yay! Oh shit!
SPEAKER_03Oh shit. Yeah, the law got me. I have it because of the law.
SPEAKER_00I figured it was so simple that it sounded like it could be an anime, and I was like, I wonder if you know, because I knew that would be the hang up. Is like, there's no way. But at the same time, it's like if there was an anime called that, it probably wouldn't be on there. You know what I mean? So, would you really know? Anyway, whatever you want to call it I have my senpai is annoying.
SPEAKER_03I fell in love with my senpie. And anyway, I'm falling in love with you.
SPEAKER_00That last one sounds cute. I I would actually watch that. Um I don't recognize any of these, but I do like the themes that you're doing here. Um could you repeat the first two again?
SPEAKER_03My senpai is annoying.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03I fell in love with my senpai.
SPEAKER_00Okay, I think the second one. I think I fell in love with my senpai is the one you made.
SPEAKER_03I did make that one.
SPEAKER_00Oh, nice, nice. The only reason I was able to figure that last one kind of stuck with me. I loved the the the name of that one. Interested interested me immediately. But that first one I feel like I've probably scrolled past.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_00For sure.
SPEAKER_02So all right.
SPEAKER_00There was another subject, yeah, you wanted to jump into. It's very interesting. I'm I'm gonna be up front. I'm gonna take the audience's seat when it comes to this one because you sent me that study. Hell no, that shit was like 58 pages, my guy. No, it wasn't, it was 10. Yeah, bro, they nobody got time for that when you do it on the I saw that. I thought it was gonna be two pages. Bruh, I saw fucking 10, 12, 58 pages. I was like, hell yeah.
SPEAKER_03It was 10. It was 10. You were you were exaggerating so fucking hard right now.
SPEAKER_00But I was like, you know what? I'm I'm uh Danny's the teacher, I'll be the student. You know what I'm saying? Enlighten me because it's very interesting stuff.
SPEAKER_03Okay, so um, in the world of texting me, she's going to Harbor Freight.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
SPEAKER_03Bye, Tara. Have a good time at Harbor Freight. Love you.
SPEAKER_00Best place to get tools for a good price.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, she got a hundred dollar gift card from uh her mom for Christmas.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, that's a great gift. You can get so much with a hundred dollars at Harbor Freight.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh. Anyway, okay. So um I found this study. I'm like, I'm such a nerd too. Um, so I found this study, and so in the world of academia, um, people talk about the idea of resiliency a lot. So, do you first of all, do you know what the word resiliency means or resilient?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like uh it holds up over time, it's strong, it it's withstands the test of time, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, kind of. Um, specifically, like when we're talking about resiliency in the world of academia, they typically mean the ability to overcome. And like, because usually it's applied to like human nature, like being able to overcome obstacles and um things in life. So um this study, it's it's called um Naruto, a study of resilience and growth in Japanese anime. Animation. And it was done by um Alfin Rosida, and I could be, I'm probably fully like fucking these names up, and I apologize. And Nyla Roma, uh, from the Department of Information and Culture, uh Vocational College, Universit Universita's Daipan Daipanegero, um, Indonesia. It's done in Indonesia. Um so essentially the entire uh study they go over um kind of this idea of resiliency. They talk a little bit about how like in earlier Japan they had these um like they have this like concept of uh like chivalry that came from the the Bushido era, and um it was like these values of like courage and like um essentially like these the humility and obedience and all of that shit. Yeah, exactly. And then all of those values can kind of be seen in like the Naruto um narrative, and um a lot of times in academia they they talk a lot about resiliency and they talk about resiliency in a lot of stuff, especially like when it comes to education. We talk about resiliency in the idea of like nature versus nurture, and like how how does how does like your environment affect your ability to overcome the things that are happening around you? Um and like how how does it affect your ability to move on and like make something of your life? If if you're growing up in an environment that is poor, are you able to actually make something of your life? And um the the article here uh talks about how Naruto is a really good it's a really good study of resilience and growth because the way that Naruto grows up and he like he grows up as an orphan and he goes through so many different like challenges and everything that he struggles through, but he also has mentors and it talks a little bit about mentorship as like a way to combat things and it discusses like the relationship between mentorship and resiliency, and like essentially like it kind of it indirectly poses that question of like what happens with a child that doesn't have that mentorship after being exposed to those kind of conditions, and like I think a really good example, like I I go back to this all the time. Like they're the perfect like the perfect example is like the juxtaposition of like my sister and I, right? So growing up, Nikki and I had like the same life, right? We had we both we both grew up in fucked up conditions. Um we were both very much alone. We both like our our mother was an addict, my dad left me, I was alone, Nikki had to take care of herself. The biggest difference, I think, between the way that we grew up is that I had goals and like I had something that I was looking forward to, and I had mentors. Yeah, like like I had Miss Cotto, and then later on I had Shelly, and like I've always had people outside of our family that kind of looked out for me and kind of like continued to like encourage me, and Nikki never had that, she only had the family to lean on, and the family only put like further pressure on her.
SPEAKER_00You know, can I if I could interject because you're you're talking about something super personal, and I I don't want to interrupt your wisdom because uh no, absolutely, because this a lot of people can really relate to what you're talking about, but you particularly right now are relating to the story of Naruto in many ways. Naruto, in a way, is all about mentorship from the very first time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because he had Jiraya and he was.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah, he had Iruka Sensei, episode one, he was all alone until Iruka Sensei believed in him. You know what I'm saying? And Iruka Sensei literally took a fucking stab in the back to protect him, even though he was the fucking student that brought him the most trouble. You know, like um mentorship, having somebody there, and having a goal. Naruto from episode one was like, I'm gonna make you all respect me. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03I I wanna be Hokage. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly. And you know who didn't? Um, in another scenario, you're talking about siblingship was Itachi. Itachi never had a Jonin like Kakashi or Jirah or anybody like that to guide him because he was such a prodigy that he was outclassing 30-year-old men at like eight years old. So, like, Itachi, much like your sister, had no guidance and because of that ended up living a lifestyle that caused him to leave the village and be considered this and that, and he had to make some really hard choices uh for what he believed to be the right thing, but that's neither here nor there. Um I just wanted to interject and say because you know about Naruto, but you yourself haven't actually like really tapped all the way in, right? Like how how much of how much Naruto uh do you actually have under your belt, you know?
SPEAKER_03I got all the way past the tune exams, um, and I got to the point I got to the point where uh just after uh Gara gets kidnapped and brought back.
SPEAKER_00Oh, so you got a little bit of Shapudin, too. You you were reading the manga, right?
SPEAKER_03No. Well, yes and no.
SPEAKER_00I remember you and I were reading the manga in middle school.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. That's where I got in the anime. That's where I stopped in the anime.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I see.
SPEAKER_03It's just after just after Gara came back from um getting and he was like the Hokage, or is it the Hokage? It's not called the Hokage for the Sand Village, is it?
SPEAKER_00Kaze Kage.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, the kazekage. He was he was can considered the kazekage.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Super awesome, by the way. One of the best reveals in the show. Oh, what happened to Gara after all this time? How's he doing? Oh, he's the fucking kazeikage. What?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So that's where I got from the anime.
SPEAKER_00But okay, so yeah, carry on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so that's kind of what I was getting at. Is like, um, in the study they talk a little bit about the mentorship and like the importance of mentorship and everything, and having having goals and having mentorship, and how that um how that affects your resiliency, essentially. And like, yes, your resiliency is like you you go like it is a little bit about you, but it also is about your outside circumstances, and like you're gonna go through shit, but like it's really important to have those people, and like you make a really good point of like, yes, this person was like he was outranked, like Itachi was outranked by so many people, but it doesn't matter because he didn't have the emotional like intelligence to actually move on. Like, an eight-year-old does not have the emotional intelligence to carry on, so uh the eight-year-old needs that emotional uh guidance in order to become resilient and to carry on. So yeah, that's kind of like that's kind of the the like study in a nutshell, essentially, was just that like the idea is that Naruto is a really good study on emotional resiliency, it shows a really good relationship between um like resiliency and mentorship and um goals and like how these things like affect one another, and this is kind of what like the formula is for people moving forward, like it it should it's kind of something like it's something that in academia we uh we like to look at a lot and we should essentially like okay what is the formula to actually keep people from failing in life? We we see people and students and children and everything that go through so much shit all the time. How do we stop the cycle? And like, is this the formula question mark? And I think very well, like especially like when applied to my own life and like seeing the differences, I think very much so, and applied to your fucking life, like you had mentors, you had fucking and you had that shown and ass attitude of like of like believe it, and like you had goals and you had things that you wanted to do in life, and like even though you didn't like you didn't necessarily know right away, like I wanna like spoilers, and I remember like I remember you wanted to like you didn't believe that you were going to live past a certain age, like I remember that in high school, yeah. I still think there was a part of you that knew that you were meant for something more.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, definitely. Um, I still feel that way now in a way. Um but yeah, it's true. I did have kind of the the shonen protagonist attitude as a kid, and I did have mentors growing up, and you know what's weird about being in your fucking 30s is uh you have to look even higher for mentors, and some of your mentors end up becoming uh or end up coming from your peers. People that are either your age or maybe even a little bit younger than you. You know, I I have a friend of mine who's a few years younger than me, and he's taught me a lot in these last couple of months, and uh I'm super grateful to know him, you know what I mean? Um shout out to all the friends out there who show us love and support when nobody else does in the times that nobody else knows about. Danny, you know things that probably nobody in the world has ever heard about me, you know what I'm saying? Um so like I don't know. We gotta appreciate the people that are here for us, and that's another thing about Naruto. You are my friend. It's all about bonds, bro. Sasuke, Naruto. I I always thought the only way that Naruto would make sense as a story is if they were gay. And I'm not trying to say that, like, oh, you know, I'm not trying to chip them. I'm not trying to do like what people do with My Hero Academia with Bakugo and Deku. I'm just saying there's no way that a man will lay in his bed tossing and turning month after month, year after year, wanting his homie to be back that badly. You know what I'm saying? Like, there's no fucking way. If at the end of the show they held hands and they kissed, everybody would be pissed, but it would make perfect sense. That's all I'm trying to say.
SPEAKER_02You're right, you're right.
SPEAKER_00So Danny. When they when are when are you and I gonna read Naruto arc by arc and do a podcast for each arc? Because it won't take very long if we do it by the manga.
SPEAKER_03You could read me the it when you buy me the manga. I have the manga.
SPEAKER_00I can ship them to you if you ship them back. I have the manga from one all the way to 27.
SPEAKER_03That's how it looks actually. You know what? I was contemplating coming down for uh spring break.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
SPEAKER_03I don't know if spring break's actually around Easter, but I was contemplating coming down for spring break. So if I do, then maybe I'll just grab them and then I'll come back down.
SPEAKER_00I mean, depending on how depending on how long you're here, fucking uh we could do one while you're here.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00We just do it arc by arc. We would do the the the original Naruto only has five arcs. You know what I mean? It's uh the mist village, tuning exams, uh Tsunade and Itachi. Um what's after that? Uh Sasuke Leaves the Village. Oh, that's it. Yeah, that's literally it. So the original Naruto only has four arcs. It's very short.
SPEAKER_03Um Yeah, I I wouldn't mind. I I wouldn't mind reading it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's so much faster when you read it. There's no filler. I mean, when you watch anime, they're trying to fill a time slot. They're trying to figure out how much of the chapters they're gonna use.
SPEAKER_03Dude, yeah, the I know I know One Piece is still fucking long even in book form.
SPEAKER_00Well, yeah. Yeah, One Piece is pretty much one for one with the episodes. No, not really. It's kind of off by like 200.
SPEAKER_03Um just 200.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they're they're they're a little bit ahead of us.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Um, there was something that I was going to say, but I forgot.
SPEAKER_00You want to uh jump back into the game?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, let's do a few more before we close out.
SPEAKER_00Hell yeah. Let's do it. You want to go first this time or wait? Who went last time? Do you remember?
SPEAKER_03I think I went last.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so it's my turn to to say one?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay, so by the way, how crazy was it that the vending machine one is real?
SPEAKER_03I think that's fucking hilarious.
SPEAKER_00Right. Okay, so here's your three options. Option one. Free with an exclamation point. I should have been born as a class S wizard. My little monster.
SPEAKER_03I feel like I'm cheating on this one because I know free is my fate one of my favorite animes.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I never heard of it. Wow.
SPEAKER_03It's yeah, it's a swimming anime.
SPEAKER_00Okay, okay.
SPEAKER_03And and My Little Monster is also an adorable anime. Highly recommended. Oh, so you have not seen it.
SPEAKER_00Okay, get your point. Get your point, shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so it's the other one that is not those two.
SPEAKER_00Ah, that was a good one too. I should have been born as a class S wizard.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that is a good one. That is a good one. I feel like that actually is that might be a name.
SPEAKER_00I chat GPT'd my things to make sure they didn't exist.
SPEAKER_03AJ.
SPEAKER_00What do you mean?
SPEAKER_03Don't don't use chat GPT. Chat GPT is bad.
SPEAKER_00No, no, no. Here hear what I'm actually saying. I didn't use ChatGPT to create them. I came up with them. And then I used chat to make sure that they didn't already exist. You know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_03It don't matter. For every single thing that you put into the chat GPT, it uses so much water, like gallons and gallons and gallons and gallons of water, and that water cannot be reused.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit. Fucking locked my game up. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Last year, the data centers for Chat GPT used more water than every single bottling company in America.
SPEAKER_00God damn.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I refuse. I have literally, I don't even know where to find Chat GPT. I refuse to use it.
SPEAKER_00Huh. That's good to know. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's very bad. It's very bad.
SPEAKER_00I wonder if there's an alternative.
SPEAKER_03AI in general is really bad.
SPEAKER_00But see, here's the thing though, like, is Google is now considered AI as well. So like, can we not Google things? Like, how are we gonna download it research things?
SPEAKER_03I downloaded a browser on my um computer that doesn't use AI specifically because of that.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Very interesting. Do you feel like shouting them out? Or would you rather do that off pod?
SPEAKER_03It is called Opera.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Shout out to Opera. It's an indie browser. It's pretty cool. You can actually, it's actually really cool. I like it because it's uh it's customizable and you can make your like your bookmarks show up on the thing, and you can like make a background on it. It's like kind of cute actually. Like I like it. Um but it's very customizable and very like it's indie, but it's like it's really cool. It's fast running too.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_03Like it a lot. Very cool.
SPEAKER_00Alright, so we we have a we have an honorable mention in here. Let me ask you this, um, my friend. Are all of these yours, or is one of these yours and the other two are something else? Okay. Okay. So Fats has contributed to the game, and I do not know the I do not know the answer to this either. So his three titles are Jiro, Kuro, and Banshee. One of these is a real anime.
SPEAKER_03One word ass names? What the fuck?
SPEAKER_00Uh-huh. One of these is a real anime. Or I mean, two of these are a real anime, and one of these is something he curated.
SPEAKER_03Uh I don't know. Is it Jiro?
SPEAKER_00No, he said it's not Jiro. Can I guess? Uh, this isn't fair because you already got one in. I'm gonna guess that Banshee is fake. I'm correct. Uh well, I'm not gonna count the.
SPEAKER_03I thought I thought Banshee, but I thought Banshee was like the most obvious.
SPEAKER_00Sure, sure, because it seems like that's like I was like, that's that's the most obvious.
SPEAKER_03There's no way it's that one. Damn. Okay.
SPEAKER_00So Kuro is a real show.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00Kurova too. Yeah, don't count that point because because you already broke the ice.
SPEAKER_03Okay, my turn, my turn, my turn. Um, I'm gonna go with this one. Okay, are you ready?
SPEAKER_01Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_03I have how heavy are these dumbbells? After being rejected, I had a makeover and now I have seven girlfriends. And then Turkey! Time to strike. Wait, what's the last one? Turkey! Time to strike.
SPEAKER_00Turkey, time to strike?
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_00Fuck, bro, that seems so obviously fake that it has to be real. Fuck, this is crazy. Um to me one more time.
SPEAKER_03How heavy are these dumbbells?
SPEAKER_00That's right.
SPEAKER_03After being rejected, I had a makeover, and now I have seven girlfriends. Turkey!
SPEAKER_00These are all so ridiculous. Okay, I'm gonna say the first one, the dumbbells.
unknownNope.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_03It is after being rejected, I had a makeover and now I have seven girlfriends.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that hella sounded real. That hella sounded real. Fuck. Do you want to do two in a row? You do have more than me.
SPEAKER_03Sure, yeah, I can go again.
SPEAKER_00So I feel like I'm gonna let Fats answer this next one since he contributed to a to a uh a question.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Um I got I'll go with this one. Um You can't be in a rom-com with your childhood friends when the sun sets. Fate strange fake.
SPEAKER_00What was the second one? He said, What was the second one?
SPEAKER_03When the sun sets.
SPEAKER_00He thinks the rom-com one's the fake one.
SPEAKER_03You think it's the first one?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, whatever.
SPEAKER_03So it's you can't be in a rom-com with your childhood friends. Yeah, that's when the sun sets, and fate, strange, fake.
SPEAKER_00The rom-com one for sure, he says.
SPEAKER_03Okay, it is that's incorrect. It's when the sun sets.
SPEAKER_00Oh, when the sun sets totally sounds like a real one. That's crazy.
SPEAKER_03Was that Fats guessing?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. He was just talking real quietly. Um, okay. I'll get one. All right. Um and I'd s I'd even go to say you get a point for for fooling him.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_00Alright. Uh so let me go here. Alright, here's here's the next three Spice and Wolf. I never want to see you again in a million years. Love is hard for Otaku.
SPEAKER_03I think I've seen that one. I feel like that sounds like something I've seen. Um I wanna say it's the middle one.
SPEAKER_00Um That's I never want to see you again in a million years.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00You are correct.
SPEAKER_03Hot damn! I got one! Ha ha!
SPEAKER_00Okay, your turn.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I have The God of High School, Idle Star Pop, and Sing Yesterday for me.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, what are okay? I know that first one. I think I've seen that first one. It's a Korean anime and it's really good. Um but it's short. Uh what were the other two?
SPEAKER_03Idol Star Pop and Sing Yesterday for me.
SPEAKER_00Uh Idol Star Pop. That sounds fuck. It sounds so like um generic that it could be fucking mainstream as hell. Um I'm gonna go with idle star pop.
SPEAKER_03You're correct.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. All right, let's see here. Um Here's your options. Wolf's reign. That time I got reincarnated as a slime. How to live in the shadows on an empty stomach.
SPEAKER_02Is it wolf's rain?
SPEAKER_00No, wolf's rain is real.
SPEAKER_03Ah, that's a good one though. That shadows one seems like it would be like actually real.
SPEAKER_00Right? How to live in the shadows on an empty stomach.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. It sounds like the one at the dungeon one.
SPEAKER_00Right, right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Okay. I have Goddess Girls in Gyota, Dead Account, and you and I are polar opposites.
SPEAKER_00Ooh, I think that polar opposites one is real. Well, say my bad. Say the first two again. Every time I hear something that catches my ear, I forget what the other ones are.
SPEAKER_03Goddess girls and Gyota, dead account, and you and I are polar opposites.
SPEAKER_00Um I'm gonna say the dead account is real and the first one is yours.
SPEAKER_03Damn, you're so good at this, dude.
SPEAKER_00Hey, I think you tricked me last time.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you got one. I got I tricked you once.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Are you ready?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um the masterful cat is depressed again today. As a reincarnated aristocrat, I'll use my appraisal skill to rise in the world. And banished from my own kingdom with three exclamation points.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I think I saw Banished from my own kingdom. Um can you tell me the first two again?
SPEAKER_00Um. Let me see. It's uh the masterful. Uh no, no, I just have to switch between the pages. The masterful cat is depressed again today. And then the next one is as a reincarnated aristocrat, I'll use my appraisal skill to rise in the world. And then the last one is banished from my own kingdom.
SPEAKER_03I think it's the first one.
SPEAKER_00The uh the masterful cat is depressed again today.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00No, that one is real.
SPEAKER_03Damn! So it's the full ass sentence, huh?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the full ass sentence was real too. The Banished from my own kingdom. Yeah, banished from my own kingdom. You're joking.
SPEAKER_03I thought I saw that.
SPEAKER_00There's probably something that's like that, but uh. How are we feeling?
SPEAKER_03You want you wanna do one more?
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I'm I'm hella dumb. One more like you than me, or just you want to do one?
SPEAKER_03Um, I don't know. Whatever you want.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, go for it. How many more you got?
SPEAKER_03Okay. I have one, two, three, four. I have four left.
SPEAKER_00I probably got like one left.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, let's go with unless Fats had another uh honorable mention from the sidelines, you know what I'm saying? Alright, go for it.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I got I'll become a villainess who goes down in history.
SPEAKER_01Hmm.
SPEAKER_03I can't marry my best friend's little sister. Wake up, girls!
SPEAKER_00Wait, what was the last one?
SPEAKER_03Wake up, girls!
SPEAKER_00Wake up, girls. Uh that second one is so jarring that it feels real. What was the first one? The villainess. I feel like I've heard something about a villainess.
SPEAKER_03I'll become a villainess who goes down in history.
SPEAKER_00Um I'm gonna go with Wake Up Girls.
SPEAKER_03Incorrect.
SPEAKER_00Oh shit. It would it's the fucking middle one, isn't it?
SPEAKER_03It's I can't marry my best friend's little sister.
SPEAKER_00Ah, I figured it'd be that one. Damn.
SPEAKER_03There is an anime that starts with I can't marry my and I think it's like I can't marry my uh like high school something or other. I don't know. But yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Um you got one more in you?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Here's my next one. Um my bad, give me one second. Cause I I low-key have to look up real ones now because I've ran out, but I just have one good fake one that I wanna I wanna spring on you, you know what I'm saying?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um here are the options. So we got um all purpose cultural cat girl, nuku noku dash. And then we got um, excuse me. Then we got my mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy. And then um we got life as a single dog walker. So I'm I'm gonna read these again. All purpose cultural cat girl nuku nuku dash. Then we got my mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy. And then we got Life as a Single Dog Walker.
SPEAKER_03Damn. This one's hard. Um Part of me wants to say that, like, I don't know, part of me wants to say like the nuku nuku one is like that's crazy. I don't know.
SPEAKER_00Right, like who's just gonna come up with that out of the clear blue sky?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, exactly. But also, like you be weird, so like you could do some shit like that. Like some cat girl bullshit, and it reminds me of that kitty bitch at Kmart.
SPEAKER_01That kiddie bitch.
SPEAKER_03But also, like you could be like trying to fool me, and it could be like the fucking dog walker bullshit.
SPEAKER_00Right. Some of them are so some of them are so complicated, it's like that's gotta be made up, but then some of them are so simple that it's like, fuck, is that real?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Alright, I'm just gonna go with the cat girl. Fuck it.
SPEAKER_00Nah, it's the dog walker.
unknownFuck!
SPEAKER_00You were right, it was It was the Dog Walker.
SPEAKER_03Damn it! I fucking should have gone with the dog walker!
SPEAKER_00And I end my turn. Oh shit.
SPEAKER_03Damn it.
SPEAKER_00Nice. Wait, so what did the points end up being?
SPEAKER_03You won by one.
SPEAKER_00Oh, that's it? Wow, so it was it was a photo finish. Holy shit. Wow.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_00Good game, good game, dude. This was fun. We gotta do more shit like this.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I hope everybody listens to this fucking episode, bro. This shit was fun.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it was an interesting uh episode. That's it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, we also talked about the political shit. Yeah, dude. How long has it been? Like an hour and a half almost? Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Y'all.
SPEAKER_00Well, anyways, we love you guys. Thank you for tuning in. And if you guys fucking tap into Naruto, make sure you read the fucking manga because the anime is too goddamn long. Read the Naruto manga. Don't doom scroll. Fuck the Epstein files and live your life to the fullest every day.
SPEAKER_03And find a mentor.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I would well, you have fucking mentors. You had mentors growing up, too. You had Danielle.
SPEAKER_00I definitely would like to find an OG who's done it right somewhere. You know what I mean?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_00That's neither here nor there. And make sure if you have ADHD like me and you're undiagnosed, go get diagnosed like Danny did. All right.
SPEAKER_03Thank you for tuning in. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and comment. Uh, don't forget to uh six stars.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, hell yeah.
SPEAKER_03And like tell us what you want us to fucking.
SPEAKER_00Oh, wait, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Tell us what you want us to rock to talk about first.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Let us know.
SPEAKER_00Any anime recommendations?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because like we just be out here like fucking like first of all, like, I don't even know. Like, I just be watching, first of all, I be watching that uh that one anime that we just did that episode on, and it's still hella good. It's still hella good. I'm obsessed with it. The uh the something in the moonlight dusk or whatever, the one the princess, the princess, it's okay! I love it so much! Ugh, it's so cute. Um, but I'd be watching that. But like, and then I found this other one that's like these gay boys, and they be like, uh, they be like, they have to transfer magic by fucking oh no fucking way. Yeah, it's funny. He doesn't like he can't absorb because he's from like the real world and he got like trans accidentally transferred into like a new world and he cannot absorb magic cules, and so he has to like slowly acclimate, and in order to do that, he has to fuck.
SPEAKER_00Oh my god, that's freaking crazy. It's funny, and so homeboy likes him a lot, and he be fucking you know the the homie fatts, he recommended uh Baki, and I've actually been watching Baki. Um it's like uh uh what would you call it? A sequel series from the old show Baki the Grappler, but it's got like a way crazier budget, and it's like the action is insane, the stuff they're doing is just fucking foul and gruesome with the level of strength these people have, as you can. The way our anime is so different, so fucking different, so fucking different, but you know what they have in common? They're both gay as fuck. Baki is so homoerotic, bro. Like, I I'm not gonna lie, like, I am enjoying it. I'm not Hating on it, but real recognize real. They've shown an entire penis. An entire big, strong, veiny penis.
SPEAKER_03Okay, I said it before. I said it before. If you're willing to watch that shit, then you have to, AJ, you have to watch heated rivalry.
SPEAKER_00What the fuck's that word?
SPEAKER_03It's it's not anime at all, but you have to watch it. Like grown men are crying over the show. It's so fucking good.
SPEAKER_00What is it?
SPEAKER_03It's a hockey, it's a hockey show. Like these two guys, they're like, yeah, they're like rivals. They like they love each other. And it's so good. And like it's so good.
SPEAKER_00Is it funny?
SPEAKER_03Grown men, grown men are crying about it, AJ.
SPEAKER_00Is it funny or is it only dramatic?
SPEAKER_03No, it's hello dramatic. It's hella dramatic. There's this scene, there's this scene where homeboy's in Russia, and like he's talking to him, and he's like, I just don't know how to say what I'm trying to, like, I just I can't really say what I'm what I'm feeling right now. And he's like, Would it help if you spoke in Russian? And then he has this whole monologue in Russian, and it's so emotional, and like he d like the actor doesn't actually speak Russian. And like linguists have talked about how good he does with this monologue. Like, it's so much.
SPEAKER_00So this is like some world renowned shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah! And it's like it's so fucking good, dude. Like the acting itself, like who plays excuse me, sorry, go ahead, go ahead. The actor who plays this Russian character is such a little cinnamon role in real life.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03And in the show, he's so fucking hot. And like and he's like, he's like angry and like, oh my god. And he's like a completely different guy, and it's so crazy to me. And it's just oh my god, it's such a good show. It's such a good show. Like grown men are literally like watching this show and they're crying, and like and like straight men, like straight men are watching this show and they're fucking crying about it. There's this, there's this hockey podcast. There's this hockey podcast, and like they they generally just like do their podcast about hockey, but they watched the show because because of the show, so many women have been watching hockey now. So they watched the show and they fucking cried about the show.
SPEAKER_00Is it observation hockey or armament hockey?
SPEAKER_03I don't know what that means.
SPEAKER_00It's a one-piece joke.
SPEAKER_03Oh no, they be watching hockey, they call it the boy aquarium.
SPEAKER_00Okay. Well, let me I got two I got two questions for you. One one um how long are the episodes?
SPEAKER_03The episodes are an hour long, there are six of them.
SPEAKER_00Damn, okay. Um when does it good? When does it get good? Episode one, episode two?
SPEAKER_03Yes. Episode one, it's immediately good.
SPEAKER_00Okay. I will promise you that I will watch the first episode. And if I don't feel gripped, as we say, um, then uh I'll I'll be honest about it. And we could talk about it with we'll talk about it along with whatever we end up talking about next episode. And if I love it, then I'll watch all of it, and our next episode will be solely about that.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Do be warned, they do be fucking.
SPEAKER_00Damn. Okay, well, depending on I don't know. It depending on how it looks, man. We'll see what's up.
SPEAKER_03But it's a good ass show. Like, there's some emotional shit. It talks about some like I don't know. It like it's it's a good ass show. It's a good ass show. Episode five? Episode five gets everybody. Episode five is hella good.
SPEAKER_00Overly sexual shit makes me cringe a bit, regardless of who it is. So depending upon how graphic it gets, I might fast forward, but uh you can fast forward to that shit.
SPEAKER_03That's fine.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, man.
SPEAKER_03But yeah. Anyway, don't forget to like, subscribe, and uh let us know what you want us to watch. And uh don't forget to tell Karen what your favorite part is.
SPEAKER_00Tweet, tweet, dude. I love you.
