Our May 2024 podcast features Alex Cohen, M.D., a fellowship trained cornea specialist who has been in practice since 2011. He recently moved back to Arizona, his home state, and now works at the newly opened Desert Vista Eye Specialists office in Phoenix. He shares insights on manual, small-incision cataract surgery, optimizing cataract extraction in certain situations and more.
Dr Cohen has been traveling to the African nation of Eswatini since 2015, helping to establish a high volume medical and surgical eye care program in this impoverished nation. His special interesting include, complex cataract surgery, LASIK, cornea transplants, pterygium surgery, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and intravitreal injections for macular disorders.
