#21 - Matt Hill - Live Accounts from Matt’s ECMO Battle and nearly Losing his Life
It’s been 10 years since one of Matt’s chemotherapy agents ate a hole through his colon and caused a massive Septic Shock infection that was quickly spreading to Multi-System Organ Failure. Matt was quickly placed on an advanced form of life support that only 50% of people survive, yet he was failing every medication provided.
One Doctor, however, refused to give up. She chose to Be Impossible in the Face of The Impossible, and because of her and the rest of the incredible team at Nationwide Children’s PICU, Matt is alive today; and thriving.
