Feng Shui Living: Tips for busy women looking to destress, relieve anxiety, and live with more intention
I'm Lisa Morton, and for over 20 years I've been helping people, especially busy women, create homes that actually support their lives.
Here's the truth: your home isn't just where you live. It's either working for you or working against you. And most of us don't even realize it.
On this podcast, I share practical Feng Shui, holistic interior design, and real talk about how your physical space affects your health, your energy, and your ability to show up fully in your life. You'll get easy-to-implement tips you can do this weekend. You'll hear client stories that might feel like your own. And you'll learn that creating a home you actually love isn't complicated or "woo"...it's just intentional.
Whether you're feeling stuck, ready for a reset, recovering from a heavy life event, or simply wanting more peace and clarity in your home, this is for you. We'll talk about everything from your bedroom and front door to color, lighting, flow, clutter, and the energy that moves through your space.
Let's create a home that feels as good as it looks.

This week I'm joined by my right-hand woman (well... technically my left-hand woman), Maggie Kitch, for a behind-the-scenes look at our very first Aligned Sanctuary women's retreat. Eight women, three days, and a home that was prepared with so much intention to hold them.
The retreat sold out in just three weeks, and the group ranged from moms in their 30s with young kids to a beautiful woman who had just celebrated her 80th birthday. We talk about how this whole idea bubbled up for me after nine busy months of book promotion, why I chose to host it in my own home, and the simple way I prepared my space before anyone walked through the door.
You'll also hear our favorite moments, a couple of hiccups we sailed through (including a last-minute presenter swap under a full moon), and one woman's powerful realization about the color of her bedroom and her sleep.
In this episode, you'll learn:
- Why I scheduled slow, unhurried planning time every week leading up to the retreat, and why I'll do it for every event from now on
- How I prepared my home to welcome guests: fresh air, a thorough space clearing, and setting an intention for every room
- Easy ways to prepare your own space before hosting a holiday gathering, game night, or girls' weekend
- What "flow time" is and why it became one of the most-loved parts of the weekend
- How the color of a bedroom can quietly affect your sleep
- What we learned, what we'd tweak, and what's coming next for spring 2027
Special thanks to our retreat experts:
- Jen Heller of Homes That Heal
- Lindsay Fruchey, who led our intuitive watercolor experience and the creator of the Magic of Earth card deck.
- Meli Nubek and Maggie Kitch of the Celestial Curiosities podcast
