Welcome back to the Come On you know podcast , where we make lemonade out of lemons . So the holidays are coming up , or well , we're in the holiday season , thanksgiving is past already and we have the big X-mas coming up . So I wanted to do a holiday show and I love the holidays , by the way , love Thanksgiving , love Clones , chanukah , all that stuff . But the big one is coming up and I wanted to talk about my favorite Christmas songs . Top 10 , top 10, . Everyone has their favorite and the thing about Christmas songs is like , you know , even if you listen to them in the summer , it'll get you in the mood . So I'm basically saying the top 10 songs that get me in that holiday spirit , gets me in the mood to decorate the tree , hang up mistletoes what else do you do Yuletides ? I don't know what that is , but it's Christmasy and fake snow , wheel snow , all of it above . But these are my top 10 songs that like just get me there . I'm hanging up Garland , was it Garland ? Yeah , garland , definitely decorating the tree , hanging up stuff , you know , fake sleds , stuff that just gets you in that mood , that feeling , that straight jingle bell feeling . Anyway , so I'm going to start from the bottom , because people normally do and work their way up to the top . I'm going to work my way up to the top , to my number one , and I'd love to hear back from you all . Let me know your top 10 favorite or top five , top three , I don't care . But what are your favorite Christmas songs ? Like , there's a bunch of them out there , but these are mine and it's like , no matter what I do , man , it could be July 6th , july 10th If I hear these songs . I'm decorating something , Anyway . So I'm going to start from 10 . But here's an honorable mention . Like number 11 is to me . It's a very , very , I really want to say it's parallel to 10 , but it's a Feliz Navidad and I like some spin off the original Mahose Feliciano , feliz Navidad , feliz Navidad , feliz Navidad , merry Christmas , like that's . Come on , you can't beat that song . So honorable mention only because I don't have a top 11 . I have a top 10 . That would definitely be . You know what that goes with number 10 . I'm just going to say that . So , anyway , so number 10 .
Speaker 1For me is Old Comm , all you Faithful by Nat Cancull . I'm a traditional dude , like I like the regg- , like I like the old , the , like the original ones . I don't . I'm not talking about like some crisp remix . I love the old , original ones . It's just something about them Like they . Just they are there , they have substance . But that's my number 10 .
Speaker 1So number nine For me is have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Old Blue Eyes , by Frank Sinatra . I'm a sucker for Old Blue Eyes . I like a lot of the songs , but Christmas songs is kid they get me . You know what I mean . What was that ? Nine ? This I have to keep backwards counting intact here . So number eight I want to say is I'm dreaming of a white Christmas , like by Frank Sinatra , the Frank Sinatra version . Like I said , like I'm traditional , I don't like all these remixes and you know some Jermaine de Pré version . I like the old Frank Sinatra version of I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas . So wait , did I say that ? Did I ? Am I on eight or not ? Cause number eight is I'm dreaming of a white Christmas by Frank Sinatra . So and nine , so nine , eight and nine Old Blue Eyes . There it is . I forgot what I said , but I'm moving on .
Speaker 1So number seven the little drummer boy . So I like different versions of the little drummer boy . I like the Harry Simeon , what is it ? Chorus version , I don't know the one that was in like 64 or 65 . That one puts me at ease . It's multiple versions of that one , of that song , the little drummer boy .
Speaker 1I like the song as a whole , but I like the classic versions . There's that . So that was what . Seven , counting backwards here , you gotta help me out .
Speaker 1Number six , definitely . Well , I love , I love Silent Night , but you cannot be Silent Night by the Temptations . Silent Night , the Temptations , they just they killed it , they rocked it Like that . Merry Christmas to all of you . You can't beat that , you can't beat it . Silent Night by the Temptations is my number six . So what's before ? Six , five so five . I'm going to go .

That song actually makes me feel cold . No , what it does to you , but it makes me feel cold , makes me feel cold and warm at the same time . So there's that . So Gene , all three .

They don't think they do , they don't know that they do , but they do . Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer by gene . All three the best , the original , the best . I don't know what was going on during that time , but they just I love . They commissioned him to sing the best Christmas songs ever , but he killed it . He rocked it . Okay , that was number four .
Speaker 1So number three this Christmas by Stevie Wonder . This Christmas I'm a mess of toe , stevie Wonder , just he brailed it out Really good , love it . That always gets me in a mood . What was that ? Number three ? So number two , jingle Bell Rock . And not I cannot reiterate this enough I Like the old classic version . So Jingle Bell Rock by Bobby Helms . Like Jingle Bell , jingle Bell Rock , by , by , by , by , by , by by by , not some DJs in the background scratching and mixing and making it on Christmasy , but the original . I love it . Bobby Helms , if you haven't heard that one , would you have , especially if you're my age . You've definitely heard that one . Listen to it . I don't get you in the mood . I don't care if you like , if you live in a desert somewhere and it's no snow , doesn't get below 70 degrees , that song will get you in the Christmas mood . Love it . Okay , that was number two .
Going through my list pretty quickly Number one , my favorite Christmas song of all time . I do not care what anyone else says Favorite , I could listen to the song every day , all day . And when it's the holiday season , christmas time , thanksgiving , chanukah , kwanzaa , all of that you can listen to the song twice a day without a doubt . It's Christmas . And Hollis by Run DMC . It's Christmas time and Hollis Queens Mama's chicken neck collie great like best song ever . They blew it out of the water . The song has been on movies . It's tattooed on my heart . I cannot deny it Christmas and Hollis is my number one favorite Christmas song . I mean , look at the video , watch the video , recite the lyrics , play it at any Christmas party . It goes down best Christmas song ever . So I wanted to leave you all with that . Happy holidays , merry Christmas .
