Duran Duran owned the 1980s! they were all over MTV! Their debut album came out in 1981 with the hit songs GIRLS ON FILM and PLANET EARTH. They were the innovators of music video and by 1984 they achieved levels of fame similar to Beatlemania.  The bands second album RIO spawned the Hits RIO and HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF and the third album Seven and the Ragged Tiger become the bands only UK number one album.  In the mid 80s the band members went there separate ways for a couple of new projects...Powerstation in 1984 (John/Andy) and Arcadia in 1985 (Simon/Nick/Roger).  

Duran Duran has had 21 top 40 singles in the USA on the Hot 100 and in 2022 were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Simon Le Bon was NOT the original singer of the band....tune in to find out who was.
