You are listening to the Dope Daily Audio Bible, and I'm your guy, pastor Charlie Mitchell, and today we're looking at Titus chapter three. Let's roll. Remind them to submit the rulers and authorities to obey, to be ready for every good work, to slander no one, to avoid fighting and to be kind. Always showing generalness to all people. For we too, were once foolish, disobedient, deceived, enslaved by various passions and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful detesting one another. But when the kindness of God, our savior, and his love for mankind appeared, he saved us. Not by works of righteousness that we had done. But according to his mercy, through the washing of regeneration and renewal by the Holy Spirit, He poured out his spirit on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that having been justified by His grace, we may become heirs with the hope of eternal life. This saying is trustworthy. I want you to insist on these things so that those who have believed in God might be careful to devote themselves to good works. These are good and profitable for everyone, but avoid foolish debates, genealogies, quarrels, and disputes about the law because they're unprofitable and worthless. Reject the divisive person after a first and second warning for you know that such a person has gone astray and is sinning. He is self condemned. when I send Artemis or Tikki to you, make every effort to come to me in neis.'cause I have decided to spend the winner there diligently, help zenas the lawyer and Apol on their journey so that they will lack nothing. Let our people learn to devote themselves to good works for pressing needs so that they will not be unfruitful. All those who are with me send you greetings, greet those who love us in the faith. Grace, be with all of you. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, holy Spirit. I pray that you would help us to be faithful in good works. We have not been saved by our works. We did not do anything to earn our salvation. We couldn't. There was no way we could earn our way to heaven. But one of the ways that we show that we love you, one of the ways that we show that we've been transformed by you is by the works that we do. So, Lord, I pray with so many things out there in the world, so many needs, so many issues. Lord, I pray that you would give us discernment, that you would give us wisdom, you would give us eyes to see where we could serve. Doesn't mean that we have to go out and build a house or drill a well in Africa. But man, there are people, there are neighbors, there are people in our community right now, today. It could be a smile, it could be a handshake, it could be an acknowledgement of somebody on the road that just says, man, I see you and I care about you. So Lord, I pray that you would help us to be people who do good works as a response. To the goodness and the grace you've lavished upon us. We pray all of this in Jesus' name. Amen.
