You are listening to the Dope Daily Audio Bible, and I'm your guy, pastor Charlie Mitchell, and today we're looking at Genesis chapter 49. Let's roll. Then Jacob called his sons and said, gather around and I will tell you what will happen to you in the days to come. Come together and listen. Sons of Jacob, listen to your father Israel. Reuben, you are my firstborn. my strength in the first fruits of my virility. Excelling in prominence, excelling in power. Turbulent is water. You will not excel because you got into your father's bed and you defiled it. He got into my bed. Simeon and Levi are brothers. Their knives are vicious weapons. May I never enter their counsel. May I never join their assembly for. In their anger, they kill men, and on a whim they hamstring oxen. Their anger is cursed for it is strong and their fury for it is cruel. I will disperse them throughout Jacob and scatter them throughout Israel. Judah, your brothers will praise you. Your hand will be on the necks of your enemies. Your father's sons will bow down to you. Judah is a young lion, my son, you'll return from the kill. He crouched. He lies down like a lion or a lioness who dares to rouse him. De scepter will not depart from Judah or the staff from between his feet until he who's right. It is, comes, and the obedience of the people's belong to him. He ties his donkey to a vine and the coat of his donkey to the choice vine. He washes his clothes and wine and his robes in the blood of grapes. His eyes are darker than wine and his teeth are whiter than milk. Zein will live by the seashore And will be a harbor for ships, and his territory will be next to cyan. Dan will judge his people as one of the 12 tribes of Israel. Dan will be a snake by the road, a viper beside the path that bites the horse's heels so that its rider falls backwards. I wait for your salvation Lord. gad will be attacked by Raiders, but he will attack their heels. Asher's food will be rich and he will produce royal delicacies. Naftali is a dough set free. Let's pray. Heavenly Father, you are the God of multiplication. You know every tribe. You see each and every one of us, Not just as we are, but as we are becoming, you know, the strengths, the wounds, the tendencies, but also the futures of each and every one of us. Just as Jacob spoke, truth and destiny over his sons teach us to name both what is real and what is possible. Give us the courage to speak life, even when the path is unclear. Let our words not be curses, but calls upward and forward. Lord, I pray that you would teach us to live in alignment with the destiny you've placed within us. Lord, you've called us to become more like Jesus every single day. So Lord, I pray that we will not settle for less, not settle for our base instincts or what comes naturally to us. But Lord, may our minds be renewed and may our hearts be transformed from the inside out so that we look more and more like Jesus every day. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
