You're listening to the Dope Daily Audio Bible, and I'm your guy, pastor Charlie Mitchell, and today we're looking at Joshua Chapter 17. Let's roll. This was the allotment for the tribal manasa as Joseph's firstborn. Gilead and Baan were given to Macke, the firstborn of Manasa and the father of Gilead'cause he was a man of war. So the allotment was for the rest of man's descendants by their clans. for the Sons of Abby Azer Halek as Israel Heifer and Shaa. These are the male descendants of Manassa, son of Joseph by their cleanse now, Aloha. Son of Heifer. Son of Gilead. Son of Macke. Son of Manassa. Had no sons. Only daughters. These are the names of his daughters. Mala, Noah, Hala, Milka, and Teza. They came before the priest, Eliezer Joshua, son of none, and the leaders saying The Lord commanded Moses to give us an inheritance among our male relatives. So they gave them an inheritance among their father's brothers in keeping with the Lord's instruction. As a result, 10 tracks fell to Manasses beside the land of Gilead and Baan, which are beyond the Jordan'cause. Manas daughters received an inheritance among his sons. The land of Gilead belonged to the rest of Manassas sons. The border of Manassa went from Asher to Mcath, near Shechem. It then went southward toward the inhabitants of in Tapua. The region of Tapua belonged to Manassa, but Tapua itself on Manassa border belonged to the descendants of Eiah. From there, the border descended to the brook of Kana, south of the Brook. Cities belong to F RM among Manassas cities. Manassas border was on the north side of the brook and ended at the Mediterranean Sea. FM's territory was to the south and Manassas to the north with the sea as its border. They reached Asher on the north and Esker on the east within Isker and Asher. Manassa had Beth Sheen, Ilene, and the inhabitants of door with their surrounding villages, the inhabitants of indoor ock and Meto, the three cities of nfa with their surrounding villages. The descendants of Manassa could not possess these cities because the Canaanites were determined to stay in this land. However, when the Israelites grew stronger, they imposed forced labor on the Canaanites, but did not drive them out completely. Joseph's descendants said to Joshua, why did you give us only one tribal allotment as an inheritance? We have many people because the Lord has been blessing us greatly. If you have so many people, Joshua replied to them, Go to the forest and clear an area for yourselves there in the land of the parasites and the em, because em's, hill country is too small for you. The descendants of Joseph said the hill country is not enough for us. And all the Canaanites who inhabit the valley area have iron chariots, both at Beth Sheen with its surrounding villages in the Jere Valley. So Joshua replied to Joseph's family that is fm, and man, you have many people in great strength, You'll not have just one allotment because the hill country will be yours also, It is a forest clear it and its outlying areas will be yours. You can also drive out the Canaanites even though they have iron chariots and are strong. Let's pray. Dear Lord, you see our limitations and you also see our potential when we're tempted to complain about the things that are facing us instead of courageously moving forward. I pray that you will remind us that you've always given us what we've needed to take the next step. Help us not fear the obstacles or settle for less than what you've called us to possess. Give us faith to trust in your promises. strength to faith was intimidating and obedience to act, instead of asking for easier ground. We believe that you are still at work and walk with us. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
