You're listening to the Dope Daily Audio Bible, and I'm your guide, Pastor Charlie Mitchell. And today, we're looking at 1 Chronicles 1. Let's roll. "Adam, Seth, Enosh, Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, Noah. Noah's sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras. Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, And Tegarmah, Javan's sons, Elisha, Tarshish, Kittim, and Ham, Ham's sons, Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. Cush's sons, Seba, Havilah, Raama, and Sab- Sabteca. Raama's sons, Sheba and Dedan. Cush fathered Nimrod, who was the first to become a great warrior on Earth. Mizraim fathered the people of Lud, Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh, Pathrus, Casluh, the Philistines came from them, Caphtor. Canaan fathered Sidon as his firstborn in Heth, as well as the Jebusites, Amorites, Girgashites, Hivites, Arkites, Sinites, Arvadites, Zemarites, and Hamathites. Shem's sons, Elam, Ashur, Arph- Arpachshad, Lud, Aram, Uz, Gether, and Meshech. Arphachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber. Two sons were born to Eber. One of them was named Peleg because the Earth was divided during his lifetime, and the name of his brother was Joktan. Joctan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Haz, Hazarmaveth, Hadoram, Uzal, Dikla, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were Joktan's sons. Arpachshad, Shelah, Eber, Peleg, Reu, Serug, Nahor, Terah, and Abram, that is Abraham. Abraham's sons, Isaac and Ishmael. These are the family records. Nebaioth, Ishmael's firstborn, Kedar, Adbeel, Mibsam, Mishma, Dumah, Massa, Hadad, Tema, Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These were Ishmael's sons. The sons born to Keturah, Abraham's concubine, Zimran, Jokshan, Medan, Ishbak, Ishbak, and Shuah. Jokshan's sons, Sheba and Dedan. Midian's sons, Ephah, Epher, Hanoch, Abida, and Eldah. All these were Keturah's descendants. Abraham fathered Isaac. Isaac's sons, Esau and Israel. Esau's sons, Eliphaz, Reuel, Jeush, Jalum, Jalum, and Korah, Jalum and Korah. Eliphaz's sons, Eliphaz's sons, Temam, Teman, Omar, Zephi, Gatam, Gatam, Gatam, and Kenaz, and by Timna, Amalek. Reuel's sons, Nahat- Nahath, Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah. Ezer's sons, Bilhan, Zivan, and Jakan. Dishon's sons, Ezer and Iran. These were the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any kings reigned over the Israelites. Bela son of Beor. Bela's town was named Dinhabah. When Bela died, Jobab son of Zerah from Bozrah reigned in his place. When Jobab died, Husham from the land of the Temanites reigned in his place. When Husham died, Hadad, son of Bedad, had defeated Midian in the territory of Moab, reigned in his place. Hadad's town was named Avith. When Hadad died, Semla, Semla from Masrekah reigned in his place. When Semla died, Shaw from Rehoboth on the Euphrates River reigned in his place. When Shaw died, Baah-hanan son of Akhbor reigned in his place. When Baah-hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place. Hadad's city was named Pai, And his wife's name was Mahedabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Mezaha. Then Hadad died. Edom's chiefs: Timna, Alvah, Magdiel, and Aram. Magdiel and Aram. Kenan, Teman, Mibzar, Magdiel in Aram. These were Edom's chiefs. Let's pray Jesus, I pray that we remember that you are the God in every generation. Before us, countless lives came and went, but through it all, your purposes continued to unfold. 1 Chronicles chapter 1 reads as a long list of names, people known by their families, their stories, and their place in your plan. Lord, Thank you that no life is insignificant to you. You know our names, you know our struggles, and you know our stories. So when we feel overlooked or ordinary by everybody else, remind us that we are seen by you. Help us to live faithfully in the generations that you've placed us. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
