Let's pray Heavenly Father, we see a lot of names in these passages, and you are the author of every single one of their stories. You work through families, generations, victories, failures, unexpected people, all of these things to accomplish your purposes. This is a reminder that history is not random and that every single generation matters. So thank you that you're still at work in ordinary people. Some of us come from strong families, others come from broken families. But none of us are defined by our past more than we are defined by your grace. So help us to be faithful where you've placed us, heal what is broken in our families, strengthen what is weak, and help us to leave a legacy that points others to your goodness. In Jesus' name we pray, amen
