I was also considering going down the list of all the people that you see over the music weeks to be part of each episode. Let you know who's coming or who may have been or what not. The list has grown too big to really go into here. I don't want to take that much time. Music weeks thankfully has grown into a pretty big deal so it's grown a lot more than just the one music week. It originally was going to start out as into multiple weeks now. Let's go ahead and get into this particular days. Music weeks episodes and I'm trying to drop them Monday through Friday each week of music weeks. Oh everyone, just a brief segue segment to set up today's episode of music weeks. Week two, episode five, a week two week or episode ten over all of the three weeks. 15 shows in total, Monday through Friday each of the last three weeks of March. But you know that already, right? Today will be a reprise of season one episode 15 music TV and politics. Yes and some movies again too. But since it's music weeks rather than have people go back in the catalog, I figured I'd bring up season one episode 15 again music TV and politics without any further ado here we go. Alright, I'm about to be joined with Michael Gardner yet again. Uh, from I want to say like two o'clock up to like eight PM. So it's, it's terrible. This is going the weather outside here. It's yeah, what it's like
MICHAEL GARDNER: 175 degrees down there right now. Oh, no, not right now. It just started pouring right now. So also cooled off quite a bit. Yeah. Yesterday while we were recording yesterday, uh, we had like a land typhoon. I thought my flag, my flagpole was like leaning at a 45 degree angle. I thought one of them 70 mile an hour wind gust was gonna launch it like a missile down the street. But anyway, thanks for joining me again. I first wanted to ask you your thoughts on the Jason Elbein controversy. Well, I'm not a big fan of Jason.
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): Um, he's like one of those celebrities that are like a hit miss. Uh, I don't know. I classify him as like a one hit wonder. I mean, I really do. I'm not a big fan of his country music. Really if not, I mean, uh, Willie Nelson, all the classic rates. Those are the people I listen to, you know, Jason Elbein. He's, I don't know, man, he's, he's
MICHAEL GARDNER: different, you know, yeah, he's more a country rock like a North Brooks. So you're more an
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): old school country. Well, I like it all. Yeah, I'm old school, but I also like the new stuff. Like I'll listen to kid rock. You know, I think kid rock is very patriotic. Um, you know, I like a lot of kid rocks, new songs and stuff like that where he's making fun of Joe Biden, which I think is hilarious. But, uh, you know, like I like, like I said, I'm not a big fan of Jason Elbein. Um, I did see a lot of backlash coming from his music video where they're trying to edit where I think they did edit a lot of the, um, the
MICHAEL GARDNER: Black Lives Matter stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. They're trying to, of course, distort and distract and deflect and deny and take it all out of context. All of a sudden it's racist like that courthouse. Uh, there was Miley Cyrus, Hannah Montana, that you know, film there. And also I think Mariah Carey was in a Christmas movie. So, uh, I guess you tell Nick Cannon who was married to Mariah Carey. She's racist. I guess so. Like if you don't
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): agree with them, you know, they, they come up with the stupidest nonsense in this world that really is it's just straight up nonsense. You know, if they don't agree with you, oh, you're like, you know, you're racist or you're, you know, you're a homophobe or this and that. I mean, it's just Joseph, it's nonsense. You know, when is this stuff up, man? You know,
MICHAEL GARDNER: when, when are going to people, when are people going to wake up and stop falling for this crap? That's the problem. There are so many demo crafts that continue to fall for this crap. And the next thing I wanted to ask you, you're younger. Do you remember the show Adam 12? Adam 12. No, that does not ring a bell. No, no, it was a, a pair of cops and their squad designation was Adam 12. And the reason I bring it up is this show has to do with TV. So I was lamenting how nice it would be like the Jason Elbein video being pro rule of law, how nice it would bring to be to bring back a show like Adam 12 and actually support rule of law and our cops were changed. What's the TV show you'd like to see brought back?
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): Oh, oh, the honeymooners, the Jetsons. I mean, the Jetsons were like, they nailed everything on the back, you know, with all future technology. I mean, with Skype and Zoom and, you know, smart TVs, that was all the Jetsons. That was in the 60s. I love the Jetsons to come back. I would love like the old TGI F Friday lineup to come back, you know, family matters, full house, all those shows, Joseph, they explained like fundamentals of America, you know, they taught strong household principles, you know, all that stuff was all on those shows, you know, boy meets world step by step, all those great shows,
MICHAEL GARDNER: More old, more old values, yeah, more old values, principles. Yeah. Now they rebooted full house. Did they? Oh, yeah, fuller house. It's unlike, right, but that's the problem. It's one of those streamers. And since you're an actor and a movie guy, both in front of him behind the camera, I got to ask you lastly about the Marvin Heimer records. They're calling it Marvin Heimer. Have
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): you heard that Barbie and Oppenheimer weekend? Yeah. Yeah. I don't know. I just got off the phone with a good friend, you know, cousin, Sausage, and Filtered. And he said the same thing, you know, Sausage and I, we're not big fans of the whole Barbie movie. I think it's trash. I think it's a waste of production. I really do. The sales, I'm told, they're doing somewhat okay. I mean, it's going to attract, you know, that certain audience level, but it's just, I actually saw it. It wasn't horrible. It wasn't horrible. You wasted a movie ticket, then you chose.
MICHAEL GARDNER: No, I saw that my MJR theater. I saw Oppenheimer. I left with like 30, 45 minutes left because it
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): just dragged on forever. I saw enough, but, you know, just like drag. You wasted a movie ticket
MICHAEL GARDNER: to go see that garbage. Well, I saw him on Tuesday, Free Pop Corn Tuesday, $5 and Free Pop Corn Tuesday at MJR. So I didn't invest a whole lot. And the Barbie was actually kind of funny as I go into the the episode before this interview will be tacked on. You know, there's a lot of different things in the Barbie movie. It's almost that, you know, they try to be all things for all people. And usually when you do that, you upset everybody and you hurt yourself. But it's doing well. It was the fourth all time of maybe one number one for female directors of an opening weekend and for all time for female movies. So it's doing pretty well. Well, it's the theaters need this. The
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): theaters need this. They're hurting. It's pandering to China. You know, of course, they got to throw that in there because it's a martin company and that's why they have to support their, uh, their
MICHAEL GARDNER: creator, so to speak, right? So yeah, I want that's a good question. I wonder where Barbie dolls are actually made these days if they indeed come from China or not. Oh, yeah, they don't make
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): them in the States. I don't think any Barbie doll or any type of clothing or any type of merchandise
MICHAEL GARDNER: is made here in the States. I doubt it. Yeah, I'm not sure I didn't delve in and research that. I probably should have since I was going to bring it up. But I mean, what all is made here now, I mean, most things will say assembled in the United States to try to trick people. That's not the same as made in the United States. That's just all the part. Yeah, all the parts come from overseas and some, uh, you know, some slave labor made it all and somebody here just assembles the parts or puts it in the box. And that's supposedly assembled in America. Like, I see, I see a couple
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): liberal shows the other day. Uh, you know, our good friends at the view, you know, they were like, I don't know why America is, is, is, is showing so much backlash from the Barbie movie and then Indiana Jones and they, they seem to love the sound, the freedom versus Indiana Jones. Why are they not like Indiana Jones? You know, it's not. Well, because it's Walt garbage. Indiana Jones kind of
MICHAEL GARDNER: sold out to the wolf agenda. I, well, I didn't notice that. I saw all four of the movies we've talked about. I didn't see that. I just think, uh, the Indiana Jones, uh, there was too much time between the last one and this one is kind of played a huge time last. Yeah. I think Indiana Jones would have done a lot better had sound of freedom not been out now. Because if they wouldn't have had a lot of people that would be interested in this show and your show would have been potential

You know, with the whole Barbie, you know, this, uh, just earlier today, that episode aired on I Heart, you know, the, uh, episode two 84 cousin Sosh returns. We just, we just, you and I, Joseph, you know, we just discussed this on the show, you know, with the whole Barbie and, you know, like what the hell is, you know, these, these islands doing
MICHAEL GARDNER: the damn movie and this. Yeah. I mean, that's completely irrelevant to the script. It's pure pandering to China and they put it there. No, and most people will have zero clue what the heck
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): that they will pick it up. You know, it's, it don't, don't have like a five or six year old mentality. Like when we were watching the Wizard of Oz and you would see the munchkin, you know, background being hung on the tree, you know, five, six years old, you can't pick that up right away. Right. A few weeks back I had a “Lets go to the Lobby for Snacks and Politics” piece and its follow-up “Movies, Snacks, Politics, part 2” so makes sense – lets talk briefly about Music and TV…

But first a brief reprise about Movies – I hope you all caught “They Live” 35th Anniversary this year (while showing in many Theaters September 2023) and if not at Theaters please rent or stream it after you read this. Reminder: “They Live” an early John Carpenter (Writer/Director) piece where he dared to go down ChristiTutionalist Politics line before I coined the term and “Aliens” (the E.T. variety) as stand-in for the #DeepState always moving and manipulating behind scenes. Human-nature of those willing to go-along-to-get-along to Cash in for themselves. The 15-minute (minor exaggeration) I hinted at in the Movies pieces is great metaphorical outline for the verbal back-and-forth we often have with DUMBocrats to get them to see Reality!

Lastly, I know this is OLD NEWS to a degree and you are well aware and likely heard this story for several weeks already via FOXNEWS, NEWSMAX, OAN, and other outlets (including the ridiculous attempts by Left #ENEMEdia to make this somehow a Racist song calling for violence when the Writers (no, not Jason) and he (Jason) indeed all on the same page as to why they wrote it and why he wanted to Record it. AN ANTI-CRIME and ANTI-VIOLENCE piece, but if/when push comes to shove that we do have a Right to Defend ourselves from it. To protect and prevent our Communities being Arsoned to the ground by ANTIFA and #BlackLyingMarxist Hitlerian Brown-Shirt thugs.

Only the Left and their constant Race-baiting have the gall to say scenes (that show people of ALL RACES) is somehow Racist as an indictment of Black people? Who are the Racists? They are, if they say crime automatically equals Black people! Meanwhile scuttling #BidenCrimeFamily investigations and still creating major reach (stretching beyond all credulity of those Laws intent) on Statutes to try to charge POTUS45/Trump! Spare us the “What about the Lynching that took place at that Courthouse a hundred years ago” manure that no-one knew about until the Leftists #ENEMEdia desperate for a Talking-Point managed to dig up that History. I guess the Hannah Montana and the Christmas Movie filmed there are now also Racist (just like they tried to deem Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” as somehow Racist). When are Black Americans going to wake up to this pathetic and desperate Race-baiting?!?! Whom, in Poll after Poll show they want more police protection from the runaway and rampant Crime happening due to FASCICRATS weak-on-Crime and other failing policies!!!

Thank you to all that emailed or called CMT or Cable Companies that carry CMT and let them know they would like CMT pulled from their line-up as money will be the only thing they understand. As discussed in the BIDENomics pieces they chase the Woke ESG pennies, we must make then suffer huge dollar loses until they learn to stop pandering to the Cancel Culture manure.

A friend of mine posted a Breitbart article titled “Woke Maren Morris Announces She’s Leaving Country Music: ‘Misogynistic & Racist & Homophobic & Transphobic’” (no, not gonna link it) that I would talk about but all our “kind” reactions (here are those) were “WHO?” And some “less than polite” responses too (including a few snide ones from yours truly). LOL

Television:

That’s now Movies, Music, but what about TV? May as well take a pot-shot at that too?!?! I had for decades hoped we’d get a reboot of “The Streets of San Francisco;” like Hawaii Five-O was, and Magnum P.I. was; and while I liked those originals (I did not tune-in for those reboots) but that was long before Newsome, Piglosi, others, have completely destroyed it over these last couple of decades. So, maybe best we can hope for is reboot of Adam-12; though that was set in L.A. which has equally degraded into one of Dante’s layers of Hell, but maybe could be reset into a different City; as a method of bringing traditional values and BACK THE BLUE back; as opposed to all the Trash we’re getting these days (like, sadly, the reboot of Quantum Leap went all WOKE)?!?!?

Some final thoughts:

Now after three-parts total of/for “Movies and Politics (Music and TV tacked on in part 3)” I could go on forever, and probably no surprise to anyone that is a regular reader of mine that at some time in near future I would have a part three (more on Movies, and to pivot to Music and TV) as I now have!

Follow-up to the piece a few weeks back discussion of one of my all-time favorite Directors/Producers Roland Emmerich (and the part 2 “Movies, Snacks, Politics” piece): Many know Toby and/or Noah Emmerich, two of the people involved in/with the great Movie CELLULAR (with Noah Emmerich*, Chris Evans, Jason Statham, William H. Macy, Kim Bassinger, more) I just rented (via my DISHnetwork OnDemand feature (sign-up with my VCD0026116345 referral code for discounts)) to watch again as it is an A+ (remember, when that film came out was just at the time of proliferation of Cell phones with advanced features and therefore absolute genius script at that time).
