[ChristiTutionalist Politics podcast begin Show intro]
Welcome to ChristiTutionalist Politics podcast aka CTP in association with TheLibertyBeacon.com and I am your host Joseph M Lenard and that's L E N A R D CTP is your no muss no fuss just me you And occasional guest type podcast as Graham Norton would say let's get on with the show
[ChristiTutionalist Politics podcast - Segment 1]
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): Hey gang, just a brief intro into music weeks. Here they are now. I was also considering going down the list of all the people that you see over the music weeks to be part of each episode. Let you know who's coming or who may have been or what not. The list has grown too big to really go into here. I don't want to take that much time. Music weeks thankfully has grown into a pretty big deal so it's grown a lot more than just the one music week. It originally was going to start out as into multiple weeks now. Let's go ahead and get into this particular days. Music weeks episodes and I'm trying to drop them Monday through Friday each week of music weeks. Hello everybody, welcome to another episode of constitutionalist politics though not really to do with constitutionalist politics. Another music weeks episode mainly focusing on mainly, I say mainly, I would have said solely but a few artists have gone down the other rabbit holes but mainly trying to focus on music and entertainment. I've got a recording coming with a singing telegram service. I didn't know that was still such a thing so we'll talk to them about the how you did by just shaking his head and said I did it in case the AI transcript subscriber didn't catch it or you didn't catch it on audio but at any rate indeed the guests for those viewing behind the scenes you see he's got a pink Floyd shirt on for music weeks I'm
C J PLAIN: digging out old cot. I got a pink Floyd on the wall. Yep. We were here. Yeah. Free for the
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): print. Good to know for the benefit of those on audio only or the transcript and I'm in honor of music weeks dug up an old Ted Nugent concert shirt so at any rate without further ado welcome CJ playing the music god and right normally a Christian show well it is not normally it is a Christian show it always is a Christian show always Christian not a Christmas I can't talk a Christian show but relax people we'll get into why he's called the music god it's not a blasphemy blasphemy thing please call down right welcome CJ playing aka some music god how are you today CJ I am awesome how are you I like I always say I'm still typing the notes for the song so oh as I say could be better could be worse and also for the benefit of the audio the video they could see me mocking an aeroplane playing is not as an aeroplane it is in from the plains of Minnesota to the hills yeah I've heard them all growing
C J PLAIN: up growing up in Europe in yeah I heard the plane bough the plane of course I heard fantasy I was playing bagels I've made the joke that I wish I could copyright my last name because I would be a billionaire because like playing yogurt playing bagels playing M&M's playing everything I would just be like baby baby baby yeah and they're like home home on the
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): plane oh no that's home home on the range for the during the annual play but at any rate let's do the proverbial normal first question who the heck are you where were you born where were you
C J PLAIN: raised where are you now that sort of thing well I am the son of a truck driver second generation I'm I'm second I was a second generation truck driver grew up on a farm 400 acre farm in the thumb a little town called megal um spent a lot of time around franking moose vassar all of that
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): before for those who don't know he's talking the sum of michigan right when you talk how about a seguru right the sum in the middle I would tell people I was north of flint and
C J PLAIN: south of seguru so you know it's easiest way to kind of I actually even have Russian listeners
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): I have no idea why but there'll be saying that where what they you know if they luckily even know where michigan is what along where those are but anyway please continue um raised on a 400
C J PLAIN: acre farm wanted to be a rock star it was really only it was my only ambition ever in life grand grandpa you know said hey you should learn the farm dad said you should learn to drive a truck I didn't want to hear it I wanted this far away from the farm as I could get um well what if the rock star thing doesn't work out what's your plan B my plan B is I'm going to be a rock star well what about playing C I'm going to be a rock star that's there was never any other playing I knew music was it um of course tried to be a rock star it didn't work out did go into trucking it tried to kill me I have this beautiful uh scar you can see running down the middle of my forehead I'll have a chain tried to kill me I walked away from it with 87 stitches and a brain injury but I'm still on this side of the dirt so we're going to chalk that up to having really awesome guardian angels and uh you know yeah I just got done in sebruary the last two
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): weeks for health weeks and it's like there's a continuing theme here with several music weeks guests that have had a health scare issue too it my my health is bad I'm on disability that's
C J PLAIN: how and why I'm able to do this podcast that's and that's me I'm you know the the dumbest thing about my injury is is the government says because I've suffered a traumatic brain injury I'm at risk of having a seizure at any time so I can't drive a semi truck with solely me in it you know I could go drive a school bus with 80 children in it I could drive a city bus I could drive a limousine but I cannot drive a semi truck yeah so well the government is still could be a hazard
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): to others on the road but yeah your your point is perfectly made though they'll let you do those
C J PLAIN: other things yeah I can't drive a semi with only me in it but I can drive a school bus with 80 children yeah it's like yeah but but the government cares about your kids so yeah right yeah well I
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): didn't think we were going to get into politics in this episode but yeah there it is right there's the lack of brain capacity in those who think they know better than the rest of everybody and
C J PLAIN: make the rules over everybody yeah like it's you know people that have never driven a semi that are making rules for people that drive semi's are it's pretty ridiculous because it's like okay until you've sat in one of these things and dealt with the traffic the time constraints the stress and everything else you don't understand you think you may understand but I promise you you don't and people that say all there's a steering wheel holders or they're just this or that I'll be I'll challenge any one of them come with me I'll put you in it for six hours six hours it's all it's going to take well I'll take you out out of the highway or I take you out in a back road country road and you try to turn one of these things around the corner you try to back one of these things up within a you know you have about nine foot normally from side to side to back one of these up if you could do it then I will gladly shake your hand and say I'll shut up but right 99.9% of people have no idea what truckers go through yeah and nor have they even nor have they
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): even ever been in the passenger seat of one for any time blow on I mean it's it's obviously not like flying an airplane because uh you're up there uh you're really coming crashing down at hundreds of miles an hour hitting the planet uh but still yeah you with that many tons of vehicle ramming into potentially a cement wall or other vehicles or anything I mean it's dangerous and very much an issue you've got to know what you're doing you don't just put anybody behind the wheel
C J PLAIN: of a truck and it and it's not just behind the wheel my injury happened because I was driving a flatbed that was strapped down but the beginning and the end of the load had to be chained down I was gomming through Denver and I felt that the rear of the trailer just a little bit and I said okay that load is off center so I pulled over and I stopped and I went to the back and I checked the straps straps were good got the last chain load last chain was it didn't feel right so I was like okay I'm gonna unhook this and re-hook it well as I went to unhook it one of the links in the chain was bad and it broke and I heard it you know that sound like 10 or aluminum makes when you hit it I heard that ping and luckily I when I heard it I went like this and when the chain come back it was a glancing blow sort of at a 45 degree angle oh thankfully um not me on head on right back up um stood right back up kind of went like that and went son of a man I'm a truck grab the serve you know for the benefit of audio in the transcript
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): obviously he's holding his hand to his head it's like oh boy there's a hole there boy there shouldn't be
C J PLAIN: yeah so it sliced my forehead open from the bridge of my nose to the top of my forehead um guy in a gentleman older gentleman he tried my to pick up he saw the blood and all that and he stopped he goes you need me to call 911 and I was like um where's the closest hospital and he's like about three miles up the road I'm like just take me to the hospital so I jumped in his truck and he drove me to the hospital and and uh called my boss and of course first thing my boss said is what about the truck let's just say I let out a string of expletives that probably shouldn't be repeated because at that point I wasn't thinking about no truck um like yeah I'm standing with my head busted open you know brain is leaking out I really don't care about your truck right now like that you know and they go in anywhere he goes well that's expensive steel coils those things those things are 25,000 pounds a piece ain't nobody picking one of those up and
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): carrying it right it's not as if a local car sees is likely going to be able to happen the rig
C J PLAIN: and steal it yeah unless you know how to hot wire a peter bill 5 579 and ain't going nowhere bro um so um that happened you know sadly I'm on disability now but I'm back in school trying to get my bachelor's degrees in media communications music production so I can have a new career and kind of where right now I've built this studio out of a spare bedroom and uh I do what you do I podcast and uh doing it radio and I have music reaction channel well yeah you you've got a nice
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): built studio for those looking up behind the scenes video lifting up the green screen to show the ugly couch that I joke about all the time that's why I use a green screen uh I have a bedroom that I could convert I don't have the money to do it but anyway let's get back to the the music god thing that's here the moniker was given to him by a seventh grade music teacher so let's go down that rabbit hole so did he like you or did you piss him off it was a her oh it was uh it was a
C J PLAIN: choir teacher I grew up in a front seat of a peter bill truck my dad's uh truck driver right now 55 years he has been driving dad said he's going to retire when they force him to retire
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): yeah which will be never so a lot of time in his passenger seat in your own singing along with
C J PLAIN: the radio no doubt right this was this was 1973 1974 1975 there were no computers no cell phones no flat screen tv's video games any of that uh so my entertainment was books and music which is why I read 700 words a minute and know pretty much everything about music uh dad's favorite artist is Bob Seeker dad will physically fight you over Bob Seeker oh if you will oh
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): I'd be wanting to want to fight because I'm sorry I don't quite get the fascination he's got good stuff mind you I'm not saying this stuff is all crap not saying that but like Bruce Spring stink also I don't get the fascination I'm sorry I think there's a lot better Detroit artists
C J PLAIN: I'd say I will agree with you on Bruce Springsteen I don't have Bob Seeker but that's okay anyways fast forward to seventh grade the teacher was having us perform some song um we've got tonight that's what it was we got tonight and I pointed out to her she she said that it was a kitty rogers and she the east and song and I said actually with Bob Seeker song yeah she said you're wrong I said no I'm not wrong it was Bob Seeker 1977 tough man album third cut first side on the vinyl or third song if you have to cassette she said you're wrong so I went home that night I pulled dad's vinyl out I took the vinyl back to school and I pointed out to her Bob Seeker tough man 1977 song three side eight and she just shrugged and said well aren't you just the little music god and as seventh graders do after hearing that everybody referred to me by that name because I was the kid who no matter where I went I had a backpack and it was filled with I had my little realistic cassette player from Radio Chat and everywhere I went I had a backpack full of cassettes that I always had 50 or 60 cassettes stuffed in that thing at any one time so you know I was I was like a walking music library sort of of my friends knew that if they wanted to borrow music all they had to do was ask me I'd reach into the backpack what do you want country rock you want blues you want hair bands you know I had just this huge variety of everything you want Boston you want survivor you want Chicago you want Journey are your speed wagon you know I like all those yeah that's what I'm saying so I was the kid who always had music so my friends always knew that I was I was the kid in school who knew more about music than anybody but when she said that combined it with the fact of what they already knew about me it just sort of stuck and eventually when I started this social media thing I sort of needed a brand I needed something that was memorable and I just thought you know I'm gonna use this because it's either gonna people are gonna love it or people are gonna it's gonna piss people off but I know it's gonna get a respect and I've sort of run with it I've had multiple people try to imitate it I had one guy who tried to copyright the metal god I had one that tried to copyright the music king various forms of it and I'm pretty protective of it I'm like look you know I don't want to take your court but this is my brand now and I will like this is a social media thing I have a youtube channel with it you know music god reacts I have the food review channel now that music god reviews that I do with my son oh I did I didn't know that one I was gonna that was brand new that was brand
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): new we're just kicking it off we haven't really done well I also see behind you uh Judas Priest it's not the screaming for vengeance album but it's got the eagle like from screaming and actually is the screaming for vengeance oh isn't it it looks like different coloring though because the album
C J PLAIN: itself is yellow yeah it's just a poster I bought it this traders I have AC DC we have Deadpool goonies we have the Pink Floyd ones there that I painted they're actually glowing the dark if you hit them with the black light we have it's directly below Pink Floyd wish you were here and I'll also I
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): think I yeah I think I see right wing player bobbleheads over behind you too um top kills there
C J PLAIN: those are a wide variety um I have the guys from Slayer I had the guys from Motorhead I have three queen ones oh I used to mix a lot and um I'm talking about the bobbleheads
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): look a little more to the left up top there I thought I saw some red wing bobbleheads
C J PLAIN: the hockey team no no I have a I have a duck dynasty one there's a skull one there's a couple of glowing
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): peonies a judge my screen is just too small to make it out but at any rate I was gonna go into the youtube channel the music god reacts how long have you been doing that one
C J PLAIN: uh I'm in my third year now that started completely as a joke I love music reactions but oh there's so many channels out there of it yeah some of them are really good some of them are just really dumb and cheesy the ones who overreact they throw the headphones and they kick the chair and I'm like dude it's a good song but it ain't throw a three hundred and fifty dollar pair of
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): headphones across the room good right it's all about them and them making it spectacles to call themselves rather than my buddy honest earnest reaction to the music yeah
C J PLAIN: so my buddy said you should start a music reaction channel because you know so much about music here the music guy and I'm like nobody wants to listen to the old guy talk about obscure music so I started the channel just to shut them up by the third reaction I had about 4,000 subscribers and about 200,000 views and I thought you know maybe people do want to listen to the old guy talk about obscure music oh we've run with it and I haven't done any reactions in about the last six months or so I've been busy with school and building some other stuff but we're gonna get back to it real soon I just bought a brand new camera and uh it's a one of the real Sony ZV1 so we're gonna go
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): high tech redneck with it what one of my favorite reaction things is whoever thought to put together young kids react to weird owl yeah I get such a kick out of these kids like sometimes they know the song sometimes they don't and they think wow his version's better you know there
C J PLAIN: some reactions are really genuine and then you see some that you just know are they're they're disingenuous at best like you'll see one that'll say um you'll see one that'll say rapper reacts to first time ever seeing two pop California love and I'm like how can you be a rapper and have you never heard California love it's literally one of the biggest songs of all time there's no human possible way I saw one it was this guy was my age and he was like first time ever hearing jump around how the hell did you grow up in the 80s and the 90s you didn't hear jump around yeah like it or not you would have heard it and yeah I agree with
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): yeah I agree they're just in general so it's a form of clickbait yeah and that's exactly it and
C J PLAIN: it's it's annoying because look people love reaction you could get a ton of views by just being honest I don't clickbait I've never used clickbait I said music god reacts to the match music god reacts to elite pata night wish garymore or whatever it is and that's the thing like I don't say first time ever hearing blah blah blah because nine times out of ten it's not my first time hearing it it's the first time watching videos because I never watched videos during the MTV ear I just I was never MTV wasn't really my thing I I was too active and too high strung to sit and watch videos for a long time yeah I would catch the occasional one here and there so why I can sit here and say that I've heard white snake probably 200 000 times I don't think I've ever actually seen
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): a white snake video um and there's a big difference yeah big difference could we say this is my first
C J PLAIN: time seeing here I go again video because I've never sat and actually watched the video
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): heard the song a billion times yeah never watched that gives you good new angles comparing the video and whether it really fits or if it's just something silly stupid that they put over the song or yeah does it compliment the song or is it just idiotic it's like one of the most famous youtube or music videos the aha song right it's like people would have never known the aha song without the video appearing on MTV and then it going as we would say today viral then with requests on the radio to hear the song because everybody fell in love with the video so yeah you've got two different angles to play off there because I've seen some great videos that are better than the song and some great songs that the video is like how the bleep did you come up with
C J PLAIN: that idea for that song yeah I mean it's I react to I react to the stuff I love but I also react to stuff that I love really outside of the box music I love the the mainstream stuff and the classic stuff but I love stuff that is outside of the box I love when people take music and do things with it that your brain says that shouldn't work but then you hear it and you're thinking wow that works yeah awesome yeah one of my favorite TV shows is the TV show justify um I am friends with the guys who created the theme song gangster grass when ricks told me he was starting that group before the TV show before the song all of that he's like dude I got this idea we're gonna take over the world with it I was like okay what's your idea he goes we're gonna combine New York City hip-hop and bluegrass and I was like yeah I'd combination yeah no bluegrass bluegrass and blue tang don't go together and he was like dude it does think about it and I was like yeah I I don't know any bluegrass people who'd listen to hip-hop I don't know any hip-hop people listen to bluegrass but then you hear it he goes think about it on a deeper deeper level and I was like okay like what he goes what is New York City about what is Wu tang about I was like gangsters guns drugs and he goes okay now think about the Appalachians think about the Appalachian people
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): what were they and I was like moon shiners and gun runners yeah gun runners dude they were
C J PLAIN: both gangsters I'd out this aside to the coin and I was like holy crap whoa so he he said to me this song and I'm like okay it's a banjo and a fiddle with this 808 beat and it and this kid wrap it over it and I'm like you know that shouldn't work but that might be the coolest damn thing I've ever heard in my life like just do a rapin like method man over a freaking banjo and fiddle bro like he's wrapping over Bill Munro and I was just like that's crazy so but I love that spirit I love when people take music and just do really crazy mashups when you hear mashups you know somebody did a mashup of I heard it through the grapevine and wronged and round by rat now your brain says Marvin Gaye and rat should not go together but it is one of the greatest mashups I've ever heard it works it's Marvin Gaye singing I heard it through the grapevine with the backing music of that frickin guitar riff from round and round you know and it's like why does that work that shouldn't work like they're not even in the same chord they're not even in the same time signature but you've manipulated it to where it's like I love that I love the spirit music is freedom music is the ability to express yourself in a way that other people can't or whatever
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): and yeah well you're reminding yeah you're reminding me of the rush tuned spirit of radio and like times change new people come up with new ideas and rushing that song all this modern machinery making modern music can still be open heart and it's really just a question of your honesty yeah are you a magician magician no a musician or a computer cat nerd generating a bunch of weird stuff but still it can be good and people could still like it but yeah it's not traditional music but yeah times times change but looking back on your racks is the one that really stands out that seems to have blown your mind that going in that might be your favorite or it was so unexpected when you did watch and react to it that it stands out to you
C J PLAIN: um so it would absolutely be the first time
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): um okay there is not our friend friend you know oh come on
C J PLAIN: little it was the first time I heard Dimash so I did a reaction video to Ali Patat who is a finger style guitar player from Indonesia he doesn't sing he just sort of comes home from work sits in the room with his daughter his daughter colors and he plays just finger style guitar for her and um somebody said well if you like elite you should check out this kid named Dimash I said okay you know little bit of background I don't he's a you know he's from Kazakhstan he's a classically trained singer blah blah blah so I looked up a picture of him you know he looks agent like he belongs in a boy band like a k-pop band or something and my first reaction was like this is gonna sound like BTS or something right and they're like just react to it like you know you'll love this and I'm like okay so I start the video and within about 30 seconds he's hitting notes that are just alien for a human being to hit I'm I mean tears by the end of the song I have really no words for what this kid is singing and um I come to find out strange that he was four years old dad's a famous musician in Kazakhstan his mom's a an art teacher or something he's got a seven and a half seven and a half octave vocal range with like 20 semitones the human voice the average human voice is two and a half to three octaves so his vocal range is almost double almost three times with the average thing it's it's potentially above Mariah Carey it it's it is I have heard him sing like Mariah I've heard him sing like but Shelley I've heard him do the lowest notes the oh I've heard him hit the whistle notes that they're only dogs here yeah you know it he does it so flawlessly he'll drop from a high note to a low note and then into a whisper and he does it so
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): flawlessly it takes your breath away okay yeah it's he's all right well we we've promoted him
C J PLAIN: yeah I don't really have a good way to describe your mother's and say watch it right right and
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): again that's your the music god reacts channel on youtube is it carried on like rumble or anywhere
C J PLAIN: else or just youtube no just it's just on youtube right now I am trying to set up an audio side of it
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): um just because you could carry it so many more places obviously well that and I can monetize
C J PLAIN: it better you know that the the the downside to doing music reactions is when you use music it's copyrighted you don't get a copyright strike but what happens is the artist gets paid and you don't so when I did the night wish reaction for their cover of high hopes by Pink Floyd that got a whole ton of views like the majority of my views was in the beginning was that song and I've been informed by somebody who knows the whole algorithm this and that that the number of views versus this this this and this I've probably made the band night wish about four thousand dollars
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): just off that you know yeah I mean if you could at least time of that right I mean just one percent
C J PLAIN: would be nice and that's what I push for like look people who do reactions I'm not saying we deserve the whole pie I'm not recently that yeah if we have a 12 minute reaction and that video is only four minutes of it okay how about 25 percent you cut us 25 percent because maybe to a lot of people 25 percent of four thousand's not a lot but I'll take that hundred bucks yeah and add that
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): up over a couple dozen pieces and you're talking some real decent money but we're at the point where I would normally start to wrap up the show but we're gonna push it a little further because I haven't yet gone into you with the podcast the noise report so let's talk about that then we'll wrap it up because I usually do 30 minute episodes my longest is like an hour 10 but I if I go over 30 I want to stay under an hour but so let's extend it a little because we got to talk about
C J PLAIN: the noise report podcast I interview cool and interesting people or pretty much anyone I can con into coming on the show we talk about music like I was able to con you into this one yeah it wasn't a hard sell bro like when you when you threw it out there I was kind of like you know what let me look them up and when you said music by the numbers I'm like you know whatever I already got that playlist created so I I you know fix it a little bit added some newer stuff but we do pop culture I have it has been very surreal doing this podcast as it came to grew up in the country and then went into foster care move Fox home to foster home one of the things that I've sort of always done is I've always had a waffle of posters back in the day they were pictures for magazines of all the bands that I loved and sort of wanted to be and at this point thanks to the beauty of technology and the beauty of the internet and the beauty of zoom and all of that I not only have interviewed most of the artists that I used to lay on my bed and dream about being like I've got a whole phone full of phone numbers of these guys that I am friends with and I talk to them on a regular basis and I've interviewed multiple times I've gone to concerts hung out with them and had burgers I've friends with guys and I wanted to be at 15 so it's very surreal to me and I don't take it for granted and I have fun with it and much like you I it's really just it's an expensive hobby sort of but I love meeting new people I love putting stuff out there and hey if people like it people like it if they don't well you know what it keeps me out of trouble so
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): right you know right exactly you know I talk about all the time I also have on another podcast or as part of music weeks who are Adam Blaylock aka Blayrock kind of same situation somebody said hey instead of Blaylock go with Blayrock right so kind of the same thing somebody gave him the nickname that he now uses he does a podcast called Heart Songs which I thought was really cool you know what are where are your top favorite songs that relate in your life and all that so I loved having him on which is why I'm loving having you on also to talk about your noise report and yeah I was gonna say I'm a disability I'm home all the time and I've said it in another episode people sometimes get the wrong impression from me with my health issues I'm not upbeat and petty all the time like I appear on this show right I have fixed and bursts of good up moments but like I said on that other one when I'm done with you I'm going to be wiped out and needing a nap but this gives me something I can do from home not feel worthless yeah I'm the same way like I have
C J PLAIN: moments where I'm very animated like this and I talk about everything I am you know I read 700 birds a minute I have a 143 IQ so I am constantly reading books or taking in new information like a computer but I'm a father and I'm fiercely fiercely defensive of my kids so the quickest way to get me to fight is say something to my kids bro like we were in McDonald's um a while back to my son my youngest one my last one you know he's most gentle loving kid you over me he's just looking out the window and a guy coming to the lane next to us and he looked over at my son and what do you look at that you little effing and immediately threw it into the parking I come out of the door and I'm at his window and I'm like look homie you caught me on the right date I just got paid I got bail money today um you know we we have this out right here bro and I'm just like I'm normally not I try not to be confrontational because I was as a teenager but I'm still that way like if you come after my mom my kids are my family I will do things that will make 80s look like Disney you know like I'm trying to make sure it's worth nigger van damn
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): it's nothing that we've gone down yet another rabbit hole let's reel it back in what's the focus on
C J PLAIN: the noise report it's like I said it's music and books pop culture anything I've got to interview my favorite musicians uh one of my favorite interviews I got to do I got to interview Lloyd Kaufman I'm a shoe tour fan and you know Lloyd is the one who did toxic Avenger he did cast a Nukem High um movies that are so terrible that you can't look away um he created a trauma trauma ville you know it's an entire trauma universe so uh it was a lot of stuff that I've done over the years I've had little Easter eggs and my things that are sort of dedicated to Lloyd and what he does um because you know Lloyd will make a movie with 43 dollars in the six packet tacos um but you know they're just they're they're uniquely Lloyd Kaufman like they're like Mel you know it's like a Mel Brooks movie when you see a Mel Brooks movie you know a Mel Brooks movie and Lloyd is sort of the opposite end of law of Mel of you it's uniquely him you know it's him but it's just you know it's Mel Brooks done on uh all these budget basically so um I loved it again that spirit of just refusing to take no for an answer when the movie theater said your movie sock Lloyd went out and created his own movie studio and did his own movies and self-financed it and then they become cult classics and now they're horror cult classics and I love that spirit man I love I love the little guy I love somebody who refuses to give up and doesn't take no for an answer and does it anyway when people say your music sucks okay cool you don't like my music go listen to somebody else I don't keep on singing I know I'm a terrible singer I don't care I like
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): singing so I'm gonna sing well hey we were talking about singer and spring stink earlier I thought I also don't get the fascination with uh oh there's the movie that was just how Bob it Bob do you know if they're like that oh my god that voice is so horrible get them
C J PLAIN: you're so little mighty this is another whole episode um I I don't get the fascination with the rolling stones not that they're terrible musicians I just don't relate on any level to anything they've ever performed now look hey 75 years is a band awesome congratulations you've done a bunch of accomplishments but I'm not a fan you too and not a fan Taylor Swift not a fan yeah
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): oh Taylor Swift is another one of us because I mentioned it's eager and spring state Taylor Swift uh lover or hater shake it off was a great concept and an even better video like lady gag me I call her poker face absolutely brilliant use of a term a milie sire sore ass yes as I call her wrecking ball I don't even know that she wrote that one though or not but again I know so I don't have to like someone to appreciate the brilliance of something yeah I'll tell you as a
C J PLAIN: as another person who's from the Detroit area I'm up north of you a little bit um when I hear people say Eminem's the greatest rapper of all time I'm even the greatest rapper in Detroit he's not the greatest of all he's not even the best in Detroit who do you mean I can name you he doesn't rappers that if he were to get into a rap battle with him right now would wipe the floor with him race the five nine as tech the barfied bane belushi little Tony uh as just just a line of these guys that I think are better than him now yes does he have the record tails yes did he do amazing things with you yes I give him all the credit in the world the respect where respect is due but em is never set a single thing to to me that relates to me
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): on any level no I agree with you i agree with you em without Dre would have been nowhere
C J PLAIN: and he was I was working in a record store in when his infinite record come out we couldn't give that thing away we we tried it was taking up self space we just wanted the space for other stuff we couldn't give it away horrible and then he meets Dre blows up blah blah blah story told um you know like I said nf opposite end of the respect uh respect him I hear nf I love nf nf says more in a couple sentences than em has said over his entire career um yeah I don't I
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): don't know that one I know there's an in fx that I've heard his song the statement and I
C J PLAIN: just like whoa well it's that's the same person is that is that yeah it's just nf oh he's from elpina and um he's he's basically the christian version of it okay yeah the statement oh look that one up
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): the statement looked that up on youtube grew yet oh whatever youtube improperly identifies my show my shows underlying licensed Alex Grohl stomping rock four shots tuned as somebody else's and makes me alter it it doesn't happen every once on every ten episodes nine out of ten will be fine but that has time oh my god there's a copyright issue here so all right fine just to get it up all the other places no issue but them I look so okay I think you're gonna make me replace it I pick fx's statement right to go under it but at any rate we have that time has blown fast and like all just I could talk to you for day hours days weeks but then no one would listen because the show would be too long so let's wrap it up and they're done that yeah do you have a website of your own that you drive people to I don't have a website right now I am working on it
C J PLAIN: um I lost the domain for a while but I'm very easy to find just look up music god cj playing it's the same on everything the website if it does come back up over the next couple weeks it's going to be under my media company which is another play on words it's riot on the set media it'll be riot on the set media dot rocks so that will be one of my music reviews will be it'll be where all the videos will be basically it's just quiet on the set but with the word riot at the beginning um we were coming up with a name and that just kind of popped into my head and I thought hey that's a cool play on words I like that you know because I make it a million I do different things like a riot so yeah okay that's great and it's cj playing that isn't the
JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST): arrow playing pla and playing pla and z music yep the music god thank you for stopping by today I
C J PLAIN: appreciate it absolutely thank you for having me man

Music, TV, & Politics…
A few weeks back I had a “Lets go to the Lobby for Snacks and Politics” piece and its follow-up “Movies, Snacks, Politics, part 2” so makes sense – lets talk briefly about Music and TV…
But first a brief reprise about Movies – I hope you all caught “They Live” 35th Anniversary this year (while showing in many Theaters September 2023) and if not at Theaters please rent or stream it after you read this. Reminder: “They Live” an early John Carpenter (Writer/Director) piece where he dared to go down ChristiTutionalist Politics line before I coined the term and “Aliens” (the E.T. variety) as stand-in for the #DeepState always moving and manipulating behind scenes. Human-nature of those willing to go-along-to-get-along to Cash in for themselves. The 15-minute (minor exaggeration) I hinted at in the Movies pieces is great metaphorical outline for the verbal back-and-forth we often have with DUMBocrats to get them to see Reality!
VIDEO (3m 08s): Jason Aldean - Try That In A Small Town (Official Music Video):

Music:
#IStandWithJasonAldean (and, yes, too Oliver Anthony)
CMT (Country Music Television) crumbles to Cancel Culture, pulls “Try that in a Small Town” Video. And what my book (Terror Strikes: Coming Soon to a City Near You) about, not just Foreign Terrorists but USA Leftist Terrorism within & destruction of Western-Culture (as whole, not just US). #JasonAldean #BoycottCMT
I tack this on here, as Patriots in good Independent Studios or Patriotic Producers/Directors need to assure this Song gets on the Soundtrack of their PRO-AMERICA Movies as many times/places as possible!!
Lastly, I know this is OLD NEWS to a degree and you are well aware and likely heard this story for several weeks already via FOXNEWS, NEWSMAX, OAN, and other outlets (including the ridiculous attempts by Left #ENEMEdia to make this somehow a Racist song calling for violence when the Writers (no, not Jason) and he (Jason) indeed all on the same page as to why they wrote it and why he wanted to Record it. AN ANTI-CRIME and ANTI-VIOLENCE piece, but if/when push comes to shove that we do have a Right to Defend ourselves from it. To protect and prevent our Communities being Arsoned to the ground by ANTIFA and #BlackLyingMarxist Hitlerian Brown-Shirt thugs.
Only the Left and their constant Race-baiting have the gall to say scenes (that show people of ALL RACES) is somehow Racist as an indictment of Black people? Who are the Racists? They are, if they say crime automatically equals Black people! Meanwhile scuttling #BidenCrimeFamily investigations and still creating major reach (stretching beyond all credulity of those Laws intent) on Statutes to try to charge POTUS45/Trump! Spare us the “What about the Lynching that took place at that Courthouse a hundred years ago” manure that no-one knew about until the Leftists #ENEMEdia desperate for a Talking-Point managed to dig up that History. I guess the Hannah Montana and the Christmas Movie filmed there are now also Racist (just like they tried to deem Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” as somehow Racist). When are Black Americans going to wake up to this pathetic and desperate Race-baiting?!?! Whom, in Poll after Poll show they want more police protection from the runaway and rampant Crime happening due to FASCICRATS weak-on-Crime and other failing policies!!!
Thank you to all that emailed or called CMT or Cable Companies that carry CMT and let them know they would like CMT pulled from their line-up as money will be the only thing they understand. As discussed in the BIDENomics pieces they chase the Woke ESG pennies, we must make then suffer huge dollar loses until they learn to stop pandering to the Cancel Culture manure.
A friend of mine posted a Breitbart article titled “Woke Maren Morris Announces She’s Leaving Country Music: ‘Misogynistic & Racist & Homophobic & Transphobic’” (no, not gonna link it) that I would talk about but all our “kind” reactions (here are those) were “WHO?” And some “less than polite” responses too (including a few snide ones from yours truly). LOL
VIDEO (2m 24s): Adam-12 and Emergency! Crossovers:

Television:
That’s now Movies, Music, but what about TV? May as well take a pot-shot at that too?!?! I had for decades hoped we’d get a reboot of “The Streets of San Francisco;” like Hawaii Five-O was, and Magnum P.I. was; and while I liked those originals (I did not tune-in for those reboots) but that was long before Newsome, Piglosi, others, have completely destroyed it over these last couple of decades. So, maybe best we can hope for is reboot of Adam-12; though that was set in L.A. which has equally degraded into one of Dante’s layers of Hell, but maybe could be reset into a different City; as a method of bringing traditional values and BACK THE BLUE back; as opposed to all the Trash we’re getting these days (like, sadly, the reboot of Quantum Leap went all WOKE)?!?!?
Some final thoughts:
Now after three-parts total of/for “Movies and Politics (Music and TV tacked on in part 3)” I could go on forever, and probably no surprise to anyone that is a regular reader of mine that at some time in near future I would have a part three (more on Movies, and to pivot to Music and TV) as I now have!
Follow-up to the piece a few weeks back discussion of one of my all-time favorite Directors/Producers Roland Emmerich (and the part 2 “Movies, Snacks, Politics” piece): Many know Toby and/or Noah Emmerich, two of the people involved in/with the great Movie CELLULAR (with Noah Emmerich*, Chris Evans, Jason Statham, William H. Macy, Kim Bassinger, more) I just rented (via my DISHnetwork OnDemand feature (sign-up with my VCD0026116345 referral code for discounts)) to watch again as it is an A+ (remember, when that film came out was just at the time of proliferation of Cell phones with advanced features and therefore absolute genius script at that time). A good “temporary escape from Politics film.” From GOOGLE (about Noah): On television, the native New Yorker was a series regular on BACKWASH and played the despondent Dr. Edwin Jenner in the two-part Season 1 finale of THE WALKING DEAD. Emmerich's brother is film producer Toby Emmerich, but they are not, Emmerich explains, related to Director/Producer Roland Emmerich.
The Emmerich lines via DuckDuckGo (here).
Gasp, can you believe it? YES, you’ve reached the end of this article already! LOL Hey, gotta poke fun at ourselves if we are to be able to laugh at others. I am indeed trying to SCALE BACK the length of my pieces! 😊
