• Looking beyond denominational differences to focus on what unites Christians
• The distinction between biblical community (based on free will charity) and worldly communism
• Caution against rushing to judgment about Pope Leo XV's potential policies
• The importance of understanding biblical context rather than selective interpretation
• Addressing mistranslations and misunderstandings in popular biblical teachings
• The difference between pride (positive) and hubris (sinful)

[ChristiTutionalist Politics podcast begin Show intro]
Welcome to ChristiTutionalist Politics podcast aka CTP in association with TheLibertyBeacon.com and I am your host Joseph M Lenard and that's L E N A R D CTP is your no muss no fuss just me you And occasional guest type podcast as Graham Norton would say let's get on with the show
[ChristiTutionalist Politics podcast - Segment 1]
Good morning everyone. First off, Pardon, so Pardon, I'm wearing my taking the rainbow back.com shirt, and as you can see,
the yellow in the godly seven color rainbow, referenced in Genesis 916 in Revelation 4-3.
Shout out to Messianna Jew Rabbi Kurt Schneider in the Hillsdale, Michigan area.
This is his group taking the rainbow back.com. At many rates, so you can see the yellow is kind of goofing up a little bit
because it doesn't work that well with the green screen.
Item 2, apologize I'm a little off this morning because I have an earring. I just put some ear drops in my right ear
and hopefully this won't be a week's long problem. But at any rate, why am I here today? Well, I'm pretty obvious, right?
A new pope. I don't know much about him. Most people don't know much about him.
I'm already saying, well, last night even, we were already saying, and still this morning, all kinds of speculations and what-ifs.
So, I'm going to give a little speculations and what-if also. Let's keep our powder dry.
We don't really fully know what this means to have, quote, the first American, you know, I always somewhat hate that term,
Canada and Mexico as well as all the nations in the South America are American nations, but, you know, America has come to know
for the United States of America. The first US pope from the Chicago area, I mean, we know that much.
But, and-and let me back up. I know some in this audience, well, actually probably not in this audience,
are probably not watching because they are still upset with me and not happy that I coined the term, NINCOME pope,
for Francis last go round early on when he ascended to the people's seat. And why did I do that?
Because I firmly believe as born and raised Catholic, although I say over and over and over.
This is not a denominational show. It's about Christianity and those things that we can could and should be making sure
we are all coming together on rather than, you know, like old arguments between like Irish Catholic Protestant.
Thank God those divides, for the most part, have been put to rest. Right?
Luther and my grandfather was Luther and Catholic. Right? Martin Luther reform a break away from the church.
Can we focus on things to bring us together rather than drive us apart?
Because if we focus on things in doctrine that we might disagree on today, those were men that led us to hear,
not Jesus that led us to hear. Right? Our interpretations are loosening of verbiage in the Bible to reach new, more modern conclusion.
Those are creations of man, not necessarily God. So we have to be careful and come together, play up our similarities, not our differences.
Right? I like to argue when we're arguing Satan wins. Christ doesn't win.
When we're battling each other and nitpicking about things, Satan wins.
So, Christitutional politics podcast is about the whole Bible in full context while recognizing, yes, our Bible.
There's hundreds of Bibles. They're not all exactly the same.
It's like the other day I came across yet another mistranslation. Jonah and the big fish is what it originally was in the Latin Aramaic Greek in Hebrew,
but later for the King James version, it got translated in many English modern versions. It's Jonah and the whale.
Well, we don't know for sure if it was a whale. It was Jonah and the big fish. We assume whale.
We translate it today to whale, but back in biblical times, other large...
Now, I'm not looking for the word in thibian. What word am I looking for? You know, things that live in the water? Is that in thibian?
Right? Again, my ears kind of messes me up right now. But let's get to the right. They'll shout, not murder.
In essence, not they'll shout, not. Kaleo, Exodus 22, too, alone, as well as other scriptures talking about where a killing isn't a murder of innocence.
Condemnate, lest ye be condemned for final judgment is reserved for the Lord because there are more than a dozen other scriptures that say we are to judge biblically and remove the law from thine own eye.
Right? Judge, unbiblical sins are cells and others not be a hypocrite. So I just wanted to mention that again. Let's focus on the things that we could come together on.
But speculations regarding the pope are driving me crazy and why I wanted to record this brief show. We noticed from Chicago.
I feel better if he was born in a small suburb of Kansas City, Kansas, personally, because what does that say of him being from Chicago?
Well, it could say he's pretty progressive like Francis. He spent so much time in Peru. Again, that lens too.
Is he a US-minded, more traditional Judeo-Christian ethos, foundations of America-minded Catholic Christian?
Right. The reason I coined the term nincompoke about Francis, I've always said to Corinthian 714, pray here, help heal land, right? Pray, but no, there's more to that.
And action is required. Prayer alone, not enough. We are to want and try to turn from our wicked ways, as it says. And God will hear and help heal our land.
And do everything and fix everything for us. So the Chicago thing could go either of two ways. And the nincompoke thing comes from, in my mind, Pope Francis, far more interested in worldly communism, theft, redistribution, force, cultural Marxism,
which is what many were looking for out of South America when he was elevated to Pope versus traditional orthodoxy, Catholicism, a biblical community.
Free will, we are to want to be our brothers, keeper. If you're forced to do it at the barrel of a gun and money stolen from you, then that's not biblical community.
You're not doing it of your own free will. You're being forced. There is a different there, charity from our own blood and treasure. We are to want to be our brothers, keeper. And again, that distinction, there is a difference and a distinction in the Bible between those who are unable to do things
versus those who are unwilling. That's why Jesus said the poor will always be among you. You've heard me say this before. That's not an economic statement. It's not about communism. We need world communism to, you know, socialize and appetize and lower the tides, sinking the boats rather than rising tides to lift most most.
Right. Promote the greater welfare, the common welfare in our founding documents. That means promoting policy and access and equal opportunity to all to avail of their chance to do better for themselves and their family, not stealing from one person to give to another.
And you've heard me talk the failure of the Bradford commie compact. The Mayflower compact was a commonwealth, communist, worldly communist compact that failed. They almost all starved to death until Bradford pivoted in instituted personal responsibility
individual rights and freedoms, not collective ones and private property ownership as opposed to the commonwealth, collective. And the rest, they say, Paul Harvey would say, now you know the rest of the story, right? Or as the singles. Now you know, and the rest is history, right? Our founding fathers recognized long before car,
marks the failings of the Bradford colony and why we were founded on biblical community, not worldly communism. So that's why I coined that term. Francis was more interested in worldly cultural Marxist communism, worldly communism than Catholicism a lot of the time. But
I digress now, the current pope Leo the 15th being from Chicago again, that could go either way with that big city. We know a lot goes on. There's conservative areas. There's more liberal areas and I get it. A lot of people. And me included. I don't really want to talk in terms of liberal conservative or conservative progressive. But of course, those are the labels. Many are trying to do that.
I'm trying to apply now. I heard speculation that he is against ordaining women as priests, but he is more open to communion to the divorced, which would affect me. I still wear my wedding ring, but I am divorced, been for a long time. My wife is still alive. I never did seek an annulment because I never planned
for having the intention of getting married again. So by doctrine, I am not open for communion in a Catholic church. He is more open to that. So in that sense, to use the word that I hate to use here, he is indeed more progressive. If that's the case, I don't know. We don't know. It's too early to tell.
That's why I'm saying here we are dealing in letters and speculations. We've seen attacks on the Latin mass of light. I've seen some speculating. He may continue that left us. And again, I hate to use the label, but moving away from the Bible tradition of Latin masses and lessening them.
To me, I want Latin masses back and forth. No one's forcing anyone to go to a Latin mass, right? You can choose to go or not to go to a Latin mass or in the US, an English spoken mass or, you know, in Mexico, a Spanish spoken mass, in Quebec, Canada, a French spoken mass.
Now, I've not attended church in Quebec, Canada, ever. I've never been to Quebec. I've been in a lot of places in Canada, but never go back. I don't know if they do mass in French.
That's an assumption, a speculation on my part. But I think you get the point there. No one is forcing anyone to go to the Latin mass. That's great for those who like those traditions.
In fact, if I can find a Latin mass around me, I haven't looked before. I'm going to seek one out now just so I can attend one and be part of that experience because I've not been yet.
So that's all of a sudden now important to me because I don't know the Pope's Leo the 15th position on that. We're speculating. So Latin mass might go away.
Another thing is they're saying he's another open to the climate change hysteria type, more leftist leaning in that regard. I don't know.
Hidden picking the name Leo obviously says something, but we can speculate all day long what we think it means to us. The only person that it matters to is I need to hear from Leo the 15th.
Why Leo Pope Leo means so much to him. My speculation is not relevant.
Others then to present it here and indeed say my speculation is irrelevant. The same with all the talking heads on TV. It's going to take time. We need to see where he comes down on these issues.
So with that, I hope I snuck everything in that I needed to. I felt it obviously important as a host of a Christian show that I, you know, it's kind of big news.
Right. So obviously I should be on the record as saying something and my on the record is saying let's keep our powder dry and I get it.
The 24 seven news channels have to fill their airwaves with things, but we as individual Christians, let's calm down. Let's wait a tick. Let's see how things are going to play out as we go before I don't intend to label him.
I'm going to call him an income pope the second. Okay. And again, my apologies. I understand that upsets a lot of people. But to me, born and raised Catholic. Yes. And a former member of the Knights of Columbus. One of the reasons I left that organization was you shall not criticize the pope is one of the rules.
Sorry. Yes, I recognize the people office for what it is, but he's a man. He's just another man. It isn't God or Jesus that have screwed things up in these churches down here. It is men straying from the word. The whole reason I felt called to do this show the whole Bible in full context.
Not picking one scripture or another and trying to twist and distort it and leave out other scriptures that are relevant for the overall context. Right? That's the point here. So I don't want to rush and jump to conclusions yet.
And the nincompoke thing was part tongue and cheek part very serious. And again, I left the Knights organization because to me while pope that's a very special position and of position of authority over the Catholic church anyway, not necessarily all the other Christian churches.
I recognize the importance of that office as we do the presidency of the United States. Even when there's somebody in that office, we may not like so much may not agree with so much.
But it was part tongue and cheek part to make a point not to attack the office of the papacy, not to attack Catholics. Again, born and raised Catholic. Although my friend pastor Richard Clark Deetering Offsets.
I'm clearly not your average Catholic. And no, I'd like to pride myself in having studied the other doctrines, having also studied non Christian religious doctrines. It's important to know and understand those.
Exclusion does not mean preclusion. I said that backwards. Preclusion does not mean exclusion. Like I've talked about.
We have but one life of a soul that does not preclude the Bible does not specifically say that religion over there with the idea of reincarnation is dead wrong.
It doesn't say that preclusion does not mean exclusion. We have the one soul. It can take many life forms as tests and trials in the Dante's Inferno sent per se.
You know, maybe your soul is weighing or was weighing in the balance. You're given another chance to show your real soul self. So I'm not saying I believe in reincarnation. I'm saying I'm not ruling it out because the Bible doesn't specifically say it is ruled out.
God does not owe me. Jesus did not owe me all the answers to all my questions. I hope one day that I indeed go to heaven and we'll have these questions answered.
But I am not old. Again, the sin is hubris. Not pride. I should be prideful of little Johnny hitting the home run walk off home run at Little League. Right. I should be proud of little Sally coming home with all A's on the credit card and the credit report.
I heard report card. I went from school report card to credit report to credit card somehow. You know what I mean though. Again, right? Human fraud. Human frail.
In perfect. I make mistakes. I just did. I'm leaving it in. That's part of this shows point and purpose in the sin of hubris. I should be proud of a job. Well done at work. It is hubris. However, if I go in demand out on the boss death, you need to double my salary because I'm the only person on the planet that could have fixed the problem we had.
In that case, the boss should probably fire that person. They don't need somebody with that attitude there and they work situation. You need to indeed work together for common goals.
That's not communism or earth. Micro communism. By choice, we choose to join the credit union. Like it's a wonderful life. The savings and loan.
We choose to come together as a collective, but no one forced you to join the savings and loan so that all our monies pool together help each other as a collective by choice.
Not by force. So hubris is the sin not pride. Okay, I've gone down other rabbit holes that I've intended to. So take care. God bless. Make God bless you all. Make God bless America. Make God bless this new pope. And indeed, I certainly hope and then praying.
He brings us back to more traditional Catholicism and not more into Pope Francis style cultural Marxist new Catholicism. A weakening of doctrine and the church. But again, this show is not meant to be denominational.
Please understand that what we can come together on. Right, but it's important. The office is there. It's an important thing. Whether you're Catholic or not, whether you officially recognize that as the authority on earth for God or not.
I'm Catholic. And as you could tell, I don't fully believe that. Right? Because I'm saying he's just a man and we as humans are the ones who have created all these different Bibles. Jesus never said go forth and create a hundred different religions in my name.
He didn't say that. And in fact, Matthew seven is it right? I came to fulfill the prophets and the prophecy and the law, not supplant and replace it the entire Old Testament.
And the Torah was not replaced. Parts of it still exist. Right? Jesus was the final blood sacrifice. So we don't sacrifice animals as we did. But turn the other cheek is just that the new way that we are to adhere to first to love even our enemies. But turn the other cheek and love our enemy does not mean
that we are to be a constant sucker. Be a fool for others. Be a slave to others. Always knuckle under to others. It doesn't say that. At some point, yes, wars happen. And then I for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, can and does then still apply again. If you think the Old Testament is irrelevant because Jesus somehow replaced it all, what about the other?
What about the 10 commandments? They'll shall not murder innocents. It's not valid anymore because that was in the Old Testament. Of course, you don't believe that. But yet some anti-Semites have allowed that thinking into thing.
The Jews killed Christ. I wasn't going to go there here in this episode. But obviously I need to again. Jesus was born a Jew to fulfill the Torah. Again, Matthew 7, right? I came not to replace the law or the prophets, but to fulfill it.
He began his official teachings, his official church at age 30 as a rabbi in the Jewish faith would. He fulfilled all the Jewish Torah scriptures.
The Jews at that time that helped put Jesus to death under Pontius Pilate under the Romans who actually put Jesus to death.
It's the Romans who actually crucified him and Pilate himself washed his hands of it saying this is their will.
It was the will of the worldly leadership of the time wanting to cling to their worldly power and control.
It wasn't all Jews put Jesus to death. And certainly not all Jews of today that are responsible by blood libel for that, even in the Bible.
Jesus speaks to God, speaks of blood's libels, but they end at some point a new covenant. That term?
So let us please again the whole Bible in full context is what this show is about. And regarding Pope Leo the 15th, we need to calm down and wait and see.
We are still early on here. The Jewish leadership at the time. They were part of God's plan, part of God's pawn. If you are to blame the Jews, then you are to blame God because it was part of the prophecy.
He had to be put to death and raised in three days as proof of the Messiah, the king of the Jews. As Christians, we are really messianic Jews. If you're a true Christian, that term shouldn't bother you.
If it does, then you're falling prey to the anti-Semitic tropes and this notion that all Jews are somehow responsible for Jesus's death. It was God's plan. They were pawned. Why do you think Jesus said, father forgive them? They know not what they do.
They didn't. They had to do what they did. Judas betrayal. He had to do what he did. They were all part of the prophecy in the plan, part of God's plan. So to blame them is to blame God.
Please, people, people, can we stop the hate and the division? Again, Christitutions, the whole Bible in full context and coming together in love, not hate and separation and segregation.
