This Memorial Day message explores the meaning of Pentecost from both the Old and New Testaments, showing how God’s call to thankfulness, holiness, and mission continues today. Beginning in Leviticus and moving through Acts 2 and John 4, the sermon highlights Pentecost as a celebration of harvest, newness, and the power of the Holy Spirit poured out on believers.
Pastor Bob challenges the church to move beyond simply attending services and instead live as Spirit-filled witnesses who care for the poor, share the gospel, and serve their communities with compassion and boldness. Through the examples of the early church and Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well, listeners are reminded that God still uses ordinary people to reach others with extraordinary grace.
