I spent the last 10 years as a psychiatric provider and enjoy having deep conversations with people to help them find their motivation to get them where they want to be. I returned to drumming in 2022 with a commitment to listen, practice, and learn. This is my first return guest. Yahzay has been incubating with his new record over the past several months, maybe his whole life. He colabs with some of the best musicians around. He's been doing a lot of work, personally and professionally and that's what this album Lionheart is all about.
It was an honor to check back in with him and get a sense of his studio.
