Ep 124: Future Juggalo
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
I recorded this one from a park while my brain did what it always does on tour: bounce between pure gratitude, dumb jokes, and the kind of thoughts that hit harder when you’re alone with a microphone. I run through upcoming stand-up comedy shows, then veer straight into the big news I still can’t believe I get to say out loud: I’m headlining the Gathering of the Juggalos, in the butcher tent, on August 20. If you’ve ever wondered what a comedy tour diary sounds like when it’s unfiltered, you’re in the right place.
From there, it turns into a weirdly heartfelt mix of nostalgia and curiosity. I talk about growing up around juggalos, the way “weird” communities can feel like home, and the very real question of how I’d even explain all of this to my mom. There’s also a moment of pure roadside joy when I spot a massive Santa Claus statue and spiral into thinking about how people used to build giant, ridiculous things together and why it feels harder to do anything like that now.
Then the tone shifts. I share a story about accidentally hitting an animal on the road, the guilt that follows, and how I try to hold compassion without letting it swallow me. We end on what I’m working on lately: trusting my intuition, staying present while living out of my car, and saying yes to the next strange idea, including trying to rap for $300 as “Comfy Boy.” If you like comedian podcasts, travel stories, and honest talk about anxiety, creativity, and meaning, this one’s for you.
Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs a laugh, and leave a review if the show’s been hitting for you. What’s the most unexpected “yes” that ever changed your life?

I think it's Max, Missouri. Max, Missouri. And I'm at the butcher tent um on uh I can't even believe it. I'm so excited uh on August 20th. So make sure you get your tickets to The Gathering of the Juggalos if you want to see me and a bunch of other comedians. So, so, so funny. Can't wait. Um, but uh are those all the shows I want to promote? It is! It is! So here's the episode.
Park Recording And Weird Place Names
SPEAKER_03Hey everybody, welcome back to Discombobulated. We are here at what fucking park is this? God damn it. What? Why can't I remember the name of parks? Maybe is it because they're always named like um they have weird names? Like I literally think I'm at like Braya Kaka Park. And I just I can't, it's hard for me to go. I go to parks all the time. It's hard to remember them. Like I uh I grew up by a bunch of parks and I never learned. There's so many parts. And oh yeah, that's like Elephant Rock State Park. Cucamonga State Park.
SPEAKER_01I was like, oh my freaking, how am I supposed to remember this?
SPEAKER_03I live by a park that uh it's it's it it's so you can say it, it's illegal to say, but I don't say it. Because while you're saying it, you at one point you can actually like if you hit like you know those like rumble strips on the side of the road? Like if you hit it, you would say a bad word. I don't even know. I have no idea why they why it's so close to that. Um and I grew up in Missouri, so you'd have to if you want to know what it is, it starts with it's like M. It starts like it. This is how the word starts. It's M and I'm not gonna say that's as far as I can go in the world without feeling like if I take one more step, it's as far as I'll ever go. It's like me leaving the Shire, but I would actually be saying a terrible word. And I'm not gonna do that, I'm not gonna leave. I'm I'm just gonna stay in the Shire. Or the Shire. No, that joke's dumb. But this is such a beautiful place. The water is I was gonna say beautiful, but I actually don't know because it kind of looks it's got this like green bluish hue to it that I feel like if I jumped in, they're like, oh my god, Bobby, now you're gonna poop yourself to death. I won't ever if I I don't really like to get in um like the ocean is fine, but even the ocean has to be clean where I'm going. And then a lake. If it's a lake, I thought I heard a dirt bike. I'm pretty sure I heard a dirt bike. Um hold on, let me get real, let me really listen.
unknownGod, I love dirt bikes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't remember what yeah, I can't remember. We're in Indiana. It's like Evansville, Indiana, but I don't remember what park this at, but they had a BMX, they had a BMX like track. God, I wish my parents would have taken me around to go do that more. When I was a kid, I tried to do it so much and like I just wasn't good. I remember one time I tried to bar spin and the bars like almost completely I was gonna be the first trans kid in my whole class. So you know, but every you know, sometimes, you know, sometimes the Lord has a different plan for you.
The Universe Sends Juggalos
SPEAKER_03Like, you know, when hey, when God closes one door, whoop whoop, he opens another. I didn't know I was gonna be headlining the like sometimes as a comic, you'll be like, This is what I want, but the universe has different plans for you. It's so crazy that I'm like listening to Alan Watts about like having different plans, and then I'm like, You're right, like I thought this was gonna happen and it didn't. And then it's like you're headlining the gathering of the juggle.
SPEAKER_00You're like, the universe, you must you must have me. Oh my god, universe, I've never done them before.
SPEAKER_03I'm so glad there's no one around. I love to pick the parts of the park where no one's at. I pick the parts of the park. That's probably why they're probably like we all actually know this is like a runoff. There's like water running into here. Like, this is all of our shit water from after the BMX races.
SPEAKER_00I'm like, oh, okay, my bad. Fucking might be freaking on a freaking bad.
SPEAKER_03Ooh, get it, fishies. Get my spirit. But oh, dude, I uh I woke up today at a gas station and I just started driving and I was uh my uh my friend Tam, who's ew. Sorry, that wasn't about Tam. I think that was because a bug was in my fucking flip-flop. I put the D on.
SPEAKER_02Dirty Deets don't work at all. Dirty Dean's and God.
SPEAKER_03And also I hope there's no ants that start biting me because I saw some big ass ants. Like ants walking around like fucking.
SPEAKER_01Did you just look at my fucking thorax? Are you looking at my fucking thorax, brother?
SPEAKER_03Um But yeah, so sometimes in life you think you don't know where your life is going, and then you're you're headlining the butchered tent at the gathering of the Jagoa Hoes. There's only one of those. Do you know what I'm saying? Like, my mom knows who the insane clown is. Like, if I got here's the thing. If I got on like Kill Tony, or I don't fucking know, like what I'm trying to think what else I could, but America's got talent. No, my mom would probably see that one. But it's like, I feel like there's so many things my mom doesn't know, but I feel like if I was like, mom, I'm gonna open for the insane clown posse, she'd be like, oh my god, you gotta be safe for watch out for the poop dollars. I also watched that workaholics episode. Yeah, it's actually very informative.
SPEAKER_00I didn't know they fucking why would you and why why would you do that? And why would you roll up a poop dollar and pick it up in a poop? Some people.
SPEAKER_03Whoop whoop the poop. How do I get my mom to the gathering of the juggalos? Because I don't have like I don't have like a Bam Margera mom, if that makes sense. Like I don't have a mom I can like, I'm like, all right, dude, I've she's fucking sleeping. So we're gonna wake her up, but we're gonna be at the gathering of the juggalos. I don't know, that's my bam, by the way. I don't know how I don't know how to do a bam. Uh but I feel like my mom, yeah, I feel like if I could get my mom there, just because I feel like to her, um, I guess it'd be like if like the first, like like it's like me first taking my mom to the gathering of the juggalos, is like like Rick and Morty. Like me take like like I'm like, nothing matters, mom. And like we have to like, I have to like show her around the gathering of the juggalos. She's like, look how many dollars there are. I'm like, you don't want no there are no money you want here. But I can't wait. I'm excited to meet. I grew up I grew up around juggalos. Like I I remember, so you would go, you would be at my you would pick me up at this like one stop, and then we would go up and we'd go like one turn, and the kid who lived right there had like you know, whenever someone has like the insane clown posse blanket as their window, he had that. He'd like always be running to the bus with like you know, remember those big, big fucking like pants, like fucking short pants, but they're big, like those Jinko shorts or whatever. He's like, damn, like and like I had to walk down the street to go to we stop in front of his house and he'd still be like shit. And they would get on the bus, dude. And I remember I remember they smelled like weed, but I didn't even know what weed was yet. So in my mind, I was like, oh, why is there like why do they smell like dog shit? Because when you're a kid, especially I'm sure they weren't smoking good, they're children. I don't know how they found good pot at all. But like when you would they would get on the bus, and I remember I would just be like, Ugh, fuck, dude. It smells like they rolled around and fucking dog shit. I guess if you are around dog shit enough, you know, you you start acting funny. But yeah, dude, and my buddy, dude, my that was uh um I can't I for some reason I feel bad I can't think of it. And I remember his name. That guy, the kid's name was Andrew, and I won't say his last name. But and then my buddy Sean is also a huge, like I mean, every time I've seen him, he's got a he's got a fucking hatchet man jersey on. So I'm positive that they'll probably be at the show. There's other comics that are trying to come. Oh, dude, and fucking Sarah Squorn from fucking SNL is gonna be. I love, dude, I'm a big fan of how like how she does like these like uh like gross kind of like you know what I mean, like that 80s style like horror stuff, but like putting it into comedy. Oh dude. She's like, you know, when you can go buy markers at the store, but then eventually they have the ones like these ones smell, these ones like all smell like blueberries, and they like are holographic. I feel like that's what she's like, and she's so that's so cool. She's gonna be at the show, and I know she likes weird shit. We all like weird shit, and I'm trying to figure out if I want to go more days, but I don't even know if I can. And this is like my this is it's like my birthday weekend, so I mean it's like I'm gonna like be ushered into the the whoop whoop forest or whatever.
Sick Friend And A Massive Santa
SPEAKER_03Um oh yeah, I keep talking about juggalos, but yeah, I was on my way here, I was driving, and my friend that's what I was talking about, my friend Tim. Um, I message her and she's like, dude, I'm fucking throwing up, shitting. She's like, I don't feel good. And you guys probably know her from the podcast. I have her on my bonus episodes. I've known her like since I started stand-up pretty much. I've known her for a long, long, long time. So uh she's also pumped about the gathering of the jugalos. She's very I can, yeah, I'm super pumped. But she was like, I'm sick, and I was like, oh, dude, that sucks. And then I got on the road this morning, and I mean the first thing I saw, because her favorite thing is Christmas, I just fucking saw a huge Santa Claus. I was like, pfft, and so I sent her this video this morning. I was like, dude, I'm really sorry you're sad, but does this make you feel better? And there was this huge Santa Claus, and dude, I fucking did a lap around it, and it took me like that long to do a fucking full lap around his little feet. And then I'm like, is this the biggest one in North America? And they're like, no, that one's in Alaska. I'm like, I'm on my way.
SPEAKER_00Am I my way?
SPEAKER_03So I sent her that because she fucking dude, she loves Christmas. She's like, everyone gets to have their thing or whatever that you like love. Um, and hopefully yours um loves you back. And if you have something that you get to love that much, like Christmas, which she does, she's like, I don't really love the present. She's like, I just love Christmas. Like the lights and all that stuff. So I was like, oh dude, this will make you feel better. And she's like, I am still shitting my pants. I was like, God damn it. Because people are like, it's actually your thoughts that can make you feel good and sick. I'm like, not completely, because if that I mean, if that was true, she would have fucking should have risen up. I don't know if you guys can, you probably can't hear that frog, but I can hear it. And he kind of sounds like he's yelling. I might be in his yard, and I don't I didn't mean to do that. Frog. I'll get out of here in a little bit, brother. Or sister. Or frogster.
Hitting An Animal And Guilt
SPEAKER_03Oh, dude, that just made me think of frogger, which made me think that I hit um yeah, this is not good, but I was driving and I fucking hit a pasta. I have a my I have a car. I tried to go over it, but I could because it's too tall, and I just fucking and I just kept thinking at I don't even know why I'm talking about this, but I just felt bad because then I tried to be like, that happens on the road. But then I started being like, you ever like you ever listen to yourself and then you're like, but then like it's my fault. Like I have a car because I want money to get to fucking go around and buy fucking t-shirts.
SPEAKER_02So I can be a juggalo.
SPEAKER_03Like, we have all these things we want to do. So I'm like, well, if I wasn't doing any of that, if I was just sitting in the woods meditating, I probably wouldn't do that. But then also maybe on the way to your woods, you step on ants and you kill ants. So it's like there's no way, it's just a part of nature. But my problem is is I feel like if something's attacking something else or killing something else that's like in nature, or like that's you know, it's sad, but at least that's a part of it. But like getting hit by a car is just it's not like you don't need to live your possum. I think it was a possum, but I also don't know animals very well. It could have been a possum, it could have been the smallest guy, and I'm I'm actually getting I'm gonna get arrested. But isn't that crazy too, though, which lives you go to jail for or whatever? Because it is a life, like that thing, that thing has been around that fucking thing's DNA since the beginning of like it's forming around and it comes, and that's like that was what all I kept thinking about last night is like this thing got all the way here to be taken up by my car because it's so dark and I fucked up. Because also, and that was the other thing too, is it's like I you value humans' lives inside like people be like, I love animals more. It's like I understand, but you also you don't go to prison if you kill a possum. And so I was like, drive, unless they're they're in danger, and then I didn't kill it. I'm so sorry I didn't actually do that. But I was driving, and you're like, I can't, I'm not gonna swerve over like this because I saw it so fast that I was like, that was my best move. Is to be like, I think I might be able to go over it. It might be, and I'm like, it was definitely not, but I'm not gonna fucking go into the shoulder, I'm not gonna fly into the shoulder, I'm not gonna try to kill someone else or like myself, and that was like the part, but I just I just kept thinking about it all night, and then I was like, dude, it could have been a it could have had a family. It could have just started a family, it could have literally just gotten engaged, and then I just was like Steve Steve.
SPEAKER_01He said he was crossing the road to go get his fucking food.
SPEAKER_03I'm not trying to make it fun. I'm not, I just I'm trying, I think that's what I have to do to fix things in my head. I'm like if an ambulance had like clowns coming out of it. I'm like, quick, make some haws at it. Oh, big things are just jumping out of the water. You can hear them and see them if you're me.
SPEAKER_01Right over there. Just that way. So fucking cute.
SPEAKER_03I can't do that. I can't really do that like some people. Like people can really do it, like wink. I can't do that. I can do it. I can do that. I can whistle to a dog that's not mine, and um I can uh I can open up a corona bottle with a fucking lighter. At least by the third try. If it takes me too much longer, I'm like whatever. What other little tricks I can do? I can open for the gathering of the juggalos. Headline. But for them, like we're all like we're all bowing to them. Which is funny because like during COVID, I remember I made a video that was like because I think they were still having like the gathering of the juggalos or something, and I was like, hey guys, we're still having gathering juggalos, make sure you stay six feet apart, whoop whoop, wash your hands, make sure you wear gloves, keep your face mask on. And I was just like making a stupid video. And if that if that little boy could see me now, I mean he was probably he was like probably like 29, but like if that little bitch could see me fucking now. A gathering of Jago Gloves. I don't know if that's what they do. I don't know much about them. I really I'm gonna study a lot. Cut to like a montage of like all this music and me just with like just books like going like it's just going up and down them in the library, just like whoop whoop Fago. That's but I think that's what everyone knows. It's like you know, Fago, or I don't know if that's how you say it, and I'm not trying to hurt anyone's feelings, but I think that's what it's called. Um it's called Fago, right? It's not called like Faye out of here. It's not, right? And I can say that word because I used to be called that a lot. A lot. I feel like you shouldn't say pussy because that's it. I'm like, well, my mom called me a pussy, went to the doctor. So if I think if my mom can call me a pussy, I'm allowed to. She, it's my word, I'm taking it back. Damn.
Why We Cannot Build Big Things
SPEAKER_03But dude, oh, I saw this big ass Santa Claus. I keep fucking forgetting. I was just telling you guys about it. I cannot stop thinking about because it was outside and it's like it's just sitting there and it's got lights on it, it's painted, it's been, I think I looked it up, it's either the one from the 30s or the 70s, but it's got a 40-year difference, but either way, it's fucking it's been around for decades. And times must have been just so different because I just couldn't imagine anyone I know. I couldn't imagine listening to them, I couldn't imagine rallying around doing that. Like, I feel like all of us now like have so many needs, everyone's like, oh dude, our stomach hurts and we don't fucking everyone's got that parasite that makes you fucking shit out here. Like, is that part of my inside of my body? Was I supposed to go back and get me? I just couldn't imagine getting everyone together to be like guys that an idea. 20,000 grand fucking that's how much I that's how poor I am. I don't even know how to say it. I say it when kids are like a hundred billion chajillion jollas. How's it going? Um but they're like let's 20 grand and let's fucking we're gonna build this. And there's other guys with like fucking artistic ability and money and time on their hands. Like, I just feel like that's such a beautiful thing that they got to have that. Do you know what I'm saying? Like that they had that back then. They had that like let's do this. Like, I can't, dude. You can't even get your friends together at a bar that already exists at the exact same time, and then just like be like, you promise none of us are gonna fucking get fucked up and have sex with each other or something. So it's like they can't even show up on time and they can't even leave without coming or whatever. So that's like we we just that's that's our thing. We're too like uh we're too shaky and gotta f we have too many things going on. We can't build we used to build Santa Clauses, bro. And I couldn't imagine doing that because I'm also out there, I'm just like, you're just fucking so dude. I I everyone I know is like, dude, I'm not on dating apps. I'm like, is that are you is that real? Because everyone I know is on dating apps, so there's no way I'm living in two realities at the same time. I can barely hold my fucking pants up because I have my pants are a little looser and I'm losing weight. And then I gain it and then I lose it.
SPEAKER_01Ow. Two pounds forward, one pound back, suck my dick and eat my crack. I'm gonna be the gathering of the jugalos. I'm gonna be the gathering of the juggalos. Oh, comfy boy, gonna be at the gathering of the jugalos.
SPEAKER_03Gonna paint our face at the gathering of the juggalos. We're gonna eat and drink fago at the ghetto in of the jugalos. We're gonna have fun at the ghettoin of the juggalos. Gonna do a lot of drugs at the juggalos. No, we're not going to, but there's no way there's zero around, right?
SPEAKER_01Are there Christian insane clown posse fans?
Juggalos Merch And Improv Trauma
SPEAKER_02Like whoop whoop, like son, and holy shit. Or whatever. I believe in God and the Trinity. I believe they're the Holy Ghost.
SPEAKER_03Oh my God. It's God, Jesus, and fucking on both sides. It's saying clown positive. That's my merch. That's what I'm making, by the way. It's gonna that's what I'm making. It's me as Jesus. There's God above, and then both on my shoulders is the fucking or it could be the hatchet man, but I don't want to have it with like a microphone. You know what I'm saying? And I also don't have a hatchet. But I wanna, yeah. I was like, dude, it'd be kind of fun to make like some merch for this. Cause dude, there's some things that are so fun that they get in like if something's so fun it gets enjoyed seriously and kind of ironically, that's incredible, dude. Like that's kind of what like I see it's like Insane Clown Possies, Ren Fares, um improv teams, maybe I don't really know, but I mean improv teams, I'll like I'll See a post about them, and I'm just like, dude, you guys are you guys fucking you're hanging in there. Because I feel like I whenever I talk to people, if I'm like, oh, you do improv, we're like, I used to, and it just feels like we're all back from Vietnam. You're like, dude, they made us do some fucked up stuff over there, dude. Being in an imp dude, if you've ever gone through like the improv world, it is like you're like back from Vietnam. People are like, What did you do in that sting?
SPEAKER_02You fucking you're like, dude, I was just I was making up on the spot.
SPEAKER_03I was following orders that Dell Close wrote years ago. I'm so sorry. I yes anded myself into being in trouble.
SPEAKER_02And I'm like homeless now. I'm like, you guys think this is funny? They're like, fuck you, you fucking yesander. I'm like, fuck. We used to have it all.
SPEAKER_03Born on the 69th of July. Dude, fucking doing organic openings. I'd rather fucking fucking I'd rather make out with my dad, and we haven't even talked in a while. So that'd be a weird way to start it. Um, what's it called? It's on this guy's thing. Basset Bassatil Park. Bra Brady. Brady? Brady. Brady! I can't read cursive anymore.
SPEAKER_01I can't read the cursive.
SPEAKER_03God, I just want to throw my microphone out into the water and just fish with it.
SPEAKER_00They should make that. We have enough podcasts. They should make like a waterproof complete Bobby.
SPEAKER_03They do. Okay, well, I can't bear it.
SPEAKER_00Look.
Fishing Disgust And Aging Fears
SPEAKER_03Anytime I see someone fishing, I'm just like, you fucking jackass. I I don't know how to I wish I was more like understanding of when people like and they're the kind of fun that they just like everyone's allowed to have. But I just sometimes I'm just like it grosses me out. Like, dude, if you have time to fish, well, like, I get I don't know. I guess maybe in like but I feel like my career is kind of with comedy is kind of like I'm like I had I don't know. Just dude, I just and I I honestly that's what I'm thinking. Like by the time I'm I feel like by the time I would be fishing, I feel like I'm gonna be like such an old man. And then like there's like a grandkid that comes up. I'm like, I didn't even know I had grandkids. What if that's what I have? What if I have dementia and I actually have a whole family, but they're just like, God damn it, he got out again. I'm like, I have to be funny out there. Where's my wife and kids?
SPEAKER_00My wife and kids.
SPEAKER_03God, I'm so glad I don't have kids.
SPEAKER_00That I, you know, or you never know.
SPEAKER_03Bobby, we know. Yeah, I know too, for sure. And if not, if there is a woman out there that has my kid, I feel like they've like shown up and they're like, there's your dad. And the kid was like, Can we just go get ice cream? And mom was like, yes. Absolutely. So that's my dad. I know, I don't know what you want me to do. Okay, mom, I'm willy solely. I'm willy solid. Yeah dad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh.

SPEAKER_01That's it. That's it, you got it.
SPEAKER_03Any hoozles.
Final Thoughts On Being Present
SPEAKER_03Um final thoughts. Saying like it's a segment, I'm just I just know we have like four minutes left, but I uh I feel like I'm not at a great place right now, but I feel like I can um I can I can see that we're cresting the mountain, if that makes sense. Like I feel like I'm about to get and not like get, I guess I should say. I think more like I'm not talking about like completely receiving, I'm talking it's about trying to be more like present and be myself and that kind of stuff. And lately I've been like I've been testing waters with like listening to my intuition, seeing when it's right, seeing when it's wrong, knowing from like past things and all that stuff too. And I think the most fun I've had lately is I'm living in my car, following my intuition, and I get to like do what I love. And sometimes I feel like the only time my life gets complicated is if I start to overwhelm those things. It's like if those are what's filling my cup and I'm pouring more into it, it's gonna dilute those things. And so I have just been on a point of like focusing on myself, and it is really weird, dude. It's like trying to like hold things in water. Like if you ever have like something that's like in a glass or something like that, and you keep trying to like get it out or whatever, it's like if you do it like real slow and like sometimes it just like comes to you, so that's where I'm at in life. Is I'm debris in your water you're trying to drink. I'm like, I'm like, ugh, I'm calm.
SPEAKER_01Make a wish.
SPEAKER_03I hope that wasn't a piece of poop in my water.
Comfy Boy Tries Rap For 300
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, and at the gathering of the jugalos, I think there's like 300 bucks on like fucking the best rapper. And I know it's not me, but I'm also gonna show up. People show up at open mics all the time and do it. So I'm gonna do what they do. I'm gonna go do this for rapping. And I'm gonna show up as comfy boy, I believe, and I'm gonna try to maybe not. I don't know what's I don't even know what's gonna happen, but I'm just gonna try to rap and win 300 bucks. So not only am I not gonna see me at the gathering of the juggles, but you might hear me in the world of rap soon. I could not imagine that would just be so weird because people always have like like not people like sometimes people have like second careers, and I just couldn't imagine if like my second career, and like I'm like on an interview, they're like, dude, we actually found out you actually used to be a comedian. Comfy boy the rapper used to be a comedian. I'm like, ha ha ha ha ha I don't know what to tell y'all. Like I'm a totally different person now. But like that's actually Snoop Dogg. I'm like, whoop whoop whoop whoops, but that's what I am because I'm like sometimes when people go in their second career, they don't respect it as much. So that's what I'll do is I just like stay steal from people and everyone hates me, but I'm just like, I don't care. I treated the last one with respect.
SPEAKER_02Look how that got me.
Snakes Darkness And Goodbyes
SPEAKER_03This is the end of the episode. The episode if I was fun and not scared, I would jump into the water. But I am kind of scared of snakes, snakes, and in my opinion, they live harassing her. I'm actually not scared of snakes anymore. Like I'm I am scared of them, but like I've held a lot of snakes, and I feel like I've like adjusted that fear. So I'm gonna work on that fear. That one in the dark, dude. I don't know how to explain it, but sometimes when I'm in the dark, I'm like, I know demons aren't real. But if they are, this will be the worst time to find out. That's the episode. Thank you so much. Love, kisses, bye.
