This is the Train Man ATL Chronicles with Honor Williams. I thank you for listening to these episodes. Season one, Episode Three. And also the Train Man Chronicles. Likes and Times of an Operational Teching underneath the world's busiest airport, which is Huntsfield Jackson, Atlanta. Airport. International airport, matter of fact. But let's start with the uh stepfathering a family. A life of a stepfather from the first marriage until now. Let's describe the third marriage I'm in right now. She's a wonderful wife. And my walk through my life this time is beneficial. Because I'm nearing the age of retirement, and my job has now increased my uh benefits and pay and all that stuff. But not only that, I have a wonderful wife that works with me, and she's very knowledgeable. She loves to read. I know that for a fact. She loves to read. And uh the the books that she's reading is very, very good. Matter of fact, there was one book that uh uh she was reading to me and the author name was uh Carl Ware. Now you can get this book the I know it it uh it's the uh portrait of a black businessman. She's reading that book to me and uh I'm understanding where he's coming from. He does have a podcast uh in Noonan Noonan Paper, Noonan, Georgia Paper. And if you want to look him up, uh just type in uh Carl Ware podcast. He he influenced me of uh starting my uh podcast as well as my stepdaughter, Kalina, she's in Philadelphia, and uh she's a techn technical writer. She's very, very knowledgeable and and she and she told me one time, it's been about maybe a year ago, said, why don't you do a podcast on your life story? I said, Oh, okay, maybe I will. I thought about it for a long time, and I came up to the conclusion that if I was gonna do a podcast, I would include being a stepfather, I would include being a man of God, and I would include being the train man of the world's busiest airport. The world's busiest airport uh started out in 1980. Where like like I said on the second episode, it started from baggage to Dell Concourse D. Now they're spanning two more stations. But I'll talk to that. Talk about it later on. Let's continue with uh step following a family. Like I said, the woman in my life is very sweet and very understanding. She she's very knowledgeful in reading and very knowledgeful in what's going on in today's world, and she's a religious person. She she believes in God wholeheartedly, and understanding that life goes on around God and believe on God and obeying God and his word. So the daughter, Kalina, started me on this trail, and I wrote some things down, and um I'm looking back at my life, I'm experiencing God through the single mothers. Single mothers are the key to having a successful marriage. The stepfather comes in and takes care of the single mama. And like I said, the uh single mother in the family has a lot of things on her mind, so the stepfather comes in and take care of business. Now, being the stepfather, the stepfather has to control himself for one thing, and understand the situation at home. Being that the stepfather must understand the children as well, whether they are two, three, five, sixteen, seventeen, eighteen, or twenty four, twenty-three, twenty-six, and all the stepfather had to understand them. And being that the stepfather uh has to have a good paying job, which I do, uh, he has to uh combine share, let's say, share his uh fortune with the family, the single mama and the and the children, whatever. So uh through that years of experience, through the years of experience, I realized that my job being a train trained man at the airport was a very, very beneficial job. My job is not matter of fact, I'll tell you this story. During the pandemic, where everybody was laid off, including the people at the airport, we kept the trains running. And the reason why we kept the trains running is because the people are still flying. And the reason why they are still flying in during this pandemic is because they wanted to get from one point to another. It was it was covered two years, and we stayed at the job, we wore our masks for a long time, over two years really. And and we still wearing bad masks. Our mask is a very important uh principal thing to wear at the airport at that time. And then once the CDC said, well, we don't have to wear the mask no more, it's an option. Some of us wear masks, some of us don't. But all of a sudden, this year's coming back. People coming back to the airport. They are coming back to the airport like in droves. I mean, they are flying out of there and going to places where they should have uh went to two or three years ago, and and they say I guess they save up their money because uh they're going on trips that they never been. So at the time we had to keep our train system running, and our train system going for um teen months and years and being at the uh airport, the Hartsfield Jackson, Atlanta International Airport was still moving people with their tra with the train system. And so it's kind of ironic that uh two years ago we didn't we didn't see an influx of uh people through the airport. And at that time the world's busiest airport was number two. But now, since people coming back to fly and they're going to trips that they would like to go and are and are going to those uh um places that they want to go, they're the world's busiest airport is back on top again. So being a trained man is a privilege and an honor to serve, as one co-worker said, to serve the flying public. Oh yeah, and being a stepfather is very, very meaningful in my life right now. Very meaningful. Love being a stepfather. Now, I'm gonna give you uh Proverbs 31 and I believe verse 11 and it's gonna tell about Now I'm going to Proverbs 31 and verse 10 about the good wife. These single mothers are good wives. They are good wives because they take care of their kids, their children. And when the stepfather comes in, he is a part of the family. I'm gonna read what a good wife is to be. I'm reading in the King James Version. It says on chapter 10, chapter ten and following, who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband does safely trust in her so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seek wool and flax and worked willingly with her hands. She is like a mechanic ship merchant ship, I'm sorry, merchant ship. She brings her food from afar. She rises also while it's yet night, and give meat to her household, and a portion to her maiden. Well, we don't have maidens. So we just it's just me and the missus, that's all. Uh sixteen says uh she considers a field and buys it. Oh yeah. With the fruit of her hands, she plant a vineyard. Well she's working on getting a garden up with plants and I'm I'm working on getting some stuff together as well to help her out. So she's very, very knowledgeable in being a woman planter. I'll say that. She gird her lawns with strength and strengthened her arm. She perceived that her merchandise is good. Her candle goes not all out by night. She lay up she lay her hands to the spindle and her hands hold the staff. She stretches out her hand to the poor. Yea she reaches forth her hands to the needy. She is not afraid of the snow for her household, for all her household are clothed with scarlet. She makes herself covering coverings of tapestry. Her clove is silk and pure purple. Her husband is known in the gate. Well, I'm no I can vouch for that. I am the train man. I walks up and down the uh concourse where I ride really. I got my car riding to go to put uh take care of business with a door or a train. And they see me riding beep beep beep beep, I'm riding out, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, and taking care of a door so that the train system can move along and go to their go to its next spot. And the train system is very cooperative, uh put uh having uh passengers come on board and take them to their destiny. But let's continue here. Uh let's see, her husband is known in the gates where he sits among the elders of the land. Well, you can probably rephrase that and say the husband is known at the airport as the train man working on trains and getting the passenger to their destination. She makes fine linen and sells it. She delivers girdles unto the merchants. Strength and honor. Strength and honor are her clothing, and she shall shall rejoice in the time to come. She opened her mouth with wisdom, she's very wise. My wife will be very wise. She reads books. Oh yeah, she I'm listening to her. Wow, she got all this knowledge. She she knows a lot about stuff that's uh I don't even know. But she's very knowledgeable. And in her tongue is the law of kindness. Yes, she's kind. She looks well, excuse me. Her children arise up and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praised her. Many daughters have done virtually, but thou excellent them all. Favor is deceit is deceitful, and beauty is vain. But the woman who fear the woman but the woman that fear the Lord she shall be praised. Give her uh give her of the fruits of her hands and let her own works praise her in the gates. And that's Proverbs 31. That's a that's a good wife. It says here, virtual wife. 31, 10 to 31. I'm gonna conclude this episode right here. This being the virtuous wife, and the virtual wife has a lot, a lot of points that uh the step uh husband can and can receive and can point out and can believe. And uh it goes to show you that, like I said in episode two, that a biological father is destroying the uh family, he don't realize what type of woman he has in his midst. When he leaves the household, he's gone. But when the stepfather comes into the household and enlighten or improves the household to a better situation, then and only then the family is secure, the family is blessed, the family has favor with God.
